Wroclaw GP Saturday August 27th
Bagpuss replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
With a round to come at his home track in Torun. He looked a completely different rider last night to Cardiff and but for a couple of pieces of misfortune could have had better gate choices in the semi and final. Needs three more rounds like that. SWC is at Wroclaw in 2023 I believe, no reason why we can't win it with those three spearheading. Exciting times for GB. -

Well done Dan and Robert! Up the Brits -
Trouble is if you let the dirt go wide too early in the meeting you end up with one line right round the boards later on in the meeting which isn't good for the racing. Grading is a nuisance but sometimes it's required to keep the track good for 15 heats.

Where? The Play Offs are long gone, it's about riding into some form for the cup final IMO.

Championship League Riders' Championship at Poole
Bagpuss replied to cinderfella's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Add to that Brennan has scored major points in World U21 events this year and is riding regularly in Poland albeit the third tier. His career is only going one way at the moment, exciting to see how far that will be. -
Championship League Riders' Championship at Poole
Bagpuss replied to cinderfella's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Should be remembered that Brennan missed a season through a broken leg, add that to the year that everyone missed through Covid and he's not doing too badly for his age. He has improved greatly over the last 12-18 months and I think he can be much better than he is now, whether that is to the level that Lambert and Bewley find themselves remains to be seen but he certainly has something about him. Also worth chucking in the Jason Doyle example of a late developer too. -
It got stuck on the way

That very phrase went through my mind yesterday!

Tuesday 23rd August - Plymouth v Glasgow

I think they have if they wanted to. -
These kind of dodgy call offs won't stop while promoters can carry on making their own decisions as they see fit without some kind of adjudication from the governing body.

Wolves v Sheffield - Monday, 22 August
Bagpuss replied to Roger Jacobs's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not according to the Met Office......all rain for today in Lynn has disappeared going by their app. -
I can't imagine that would make too much difference seeing as the Play Offs are gone anyway. Just think he doesn't want to lose money and bar sales, it's the sorry state speedway has got itself into nowadays. On another note can you still pay on the day for the South Stand at Belle Vue? We are up for the weekend and I fancy coming on Monday.

Porsing is a plank. -
Well done Glasgow, proper character shown tonight. And like Ashfield, Redcar is a proper racetrack.

Cook (and Glasgow) can't catch a break.
