  1. It is as long as the weather is set absolutely fair and there are no showers about, some people like to decide at the last minute whether to go or not having been messed about by riders, promoters and referees in the past when there has been some late-in-the-day wet stuff.
  2. The bit in bold make it sound like you are questioning BV as a racetrack based on last night alone, if I've misunderstood you then fair enough. Last night was a half decent watch without hitting the heights that the NSS has on many previous occasions, I think the missing riders contributed to that and R/R is always a nuisance. There is no if, BV is by far the best track i the country and very rarely is the inside line the quickest, usually there are multiple fast lines.
  3. You've seen other meetings from BV I presume? Daft to judge a track from one meeting.
  4. But he 'bangs the drum' when there is cause to, and with British speedway it's so often because it is run so badly. Happy clap if you like but the fixture planning, the team line ups and as a result the crowd tonight were embarrassing. I'm surprised so many people paid £20+ to go and watch it.
  5. I'll only be watching this because it's from the best track in the country (world?), the fact that this meeting has been arranged for today let alone put on telly is farcical with multiple riders missing. British speedway is an expert in shooting itself in the foot time and time and time again.
  6. Only just got in and watched the final live, WTF was the track all about? Dear me. This is supposed to be the pinnacle of the sport.
  7. Assuming Rawicz told Edinburgh what they are claiming then it sounds to me like they've told the Monarchs what they wanted to hear. It's a big old mess and with respect a situation the like of which was gong to occur sooner or later. Not sure doubling up in the UK is compatible with racing regularly in a foreign league too, I'm assuming the fact that Mr Campbell does the fixtures means this hasn't happened until now.
  8. Yep it's not Bomber himself that's the problem it's the system.
  9. If it was decided to not grade so as to get all 15 heats in quickly then fair enough, but grading g needs to happen at some point, it doesn't have to be all or nothing. Sounds like the track was slick due to the forecast which is fine and led to good racing early on but its almost impossible to have good racing for 15 heats without moving the shale around at some point. I'd have thought a brief grade after heat 5 and 10 would work but perhaps no watering led them to just leaving the track alone.
  10. You always know when r&r starts a thread it means missing riders
  11. No but at home, especially against a struggling side, he's well capable of getting double figures.
  12. Lewi was just riding to his capabilities, just need to get Richie doing the same. As for averages, I wouldn't get too hung up on them after so few meetings. Good that we are hitting 50 with obvious room for improvement.
  13. Mr Ford was a rule bender back in the day and always seemed to be at the centre of controversy but since he's cleared off, the bumpy track has finally got sorted and Poole have moved to the Championship I think feelings have softened. I don't think 'everybody' hated them anyway or do now, but they are a team people like to beat. And of course they have the best wind up merchant on the forum in their ranks
  14. The rain made my mind up for me, I've spent too many evenings standing there watching Buster scrape off and relay the track for a hour only for the riders to not fancy it.
  15. When attempting to be a clever dick on social media its probably best to double and triple check your spelling to avoid looking even more of a berk.
  16. I'm 25 miles east of Lynn so not sure if my weather reports will be much good but I'm sure others nearer to the AFA will join in later.
  17. Have a gold star Possible rain rather than just showers 2-6 today, not sure I'll be taking the chance this evening if that does transpire.
  18. Looks just as good there as it did on the night, incredible ride by Josh. The cheer was audible on the video when he swept past Ostergaard, haven't heard a roar like that at Lynn for years!
  19. Well you're a pleasant individual. R&R makes a good point but I'm not convinced that's all its about. Got to be more to it.
  20. Only two fifths of the field can qualify for the next year automatically so I guess the other three fifths aren't good enough either. Probably better to see where Lambert ends up at the end of the season rather than pick him apart after every round. I'd say he's probably exceeded Harris already by scoring double figures pretty much every week in the Polish Extraliga. As for the speedway, absolute dross. High time the GP series was raced on the best tracks rather than being picked by venues, the series is becoming stale. I used to never miss a race in a whole season but couldn't care less sometimes nowadays if I watch a round or not.
  21. Because he'd just got a 5-1 with Brennan in heat 13. @Jaizer summed it up well, he hadn't ridden since heat 8. I always think it's risky putting a number 2 in heat 15 as they haven't been out since heat 10 or 11, so often they run a last when nominated.
