  1. There are clearly some issues at Oxford but fair play to McDiarmid, Killeen and particularly Kildemand for putting in plenty of effort. Palovaara was reasonable considering it was his AFA debut but the less said about the others the better. As a friend of mine said last night, we've only been waiting five months for the Lynn team to all click ๐Ÿ˜ the opposition was obviously very poor but nice to hit 60 albeit too late to mean much.
  2. Thoroughly enjoyed my first trip to Iwade. The site is a bit rough round the edges but its a very friendly club with everybody we came across polite and smiling, you don't get that at many speedway venues. The track was kept in pretty good nick on a very warm and breezy day by an interesting 'water cart' although the old blue groove put in an appearance later on. Racing mainly FTG mainly down to the Young Stars' dominance but there were one or two decent heats with Coops getting past the Kent riders in heat 12 the pick. Jordy Loftus looks a real talent and Jody Scott has come on leaps and bounds this year. Thanks to Jason for getting the team over to the back straight to thank the travelling fans after the meeting, looking forward to celebrating the title on Wednesday evening.
  3. Made hard work of that but an away win is an away win. Hope Nic is ok.
  4. I wouldn't waste your time mate. Several people who seem to frequent Lynn threads dont have a clue.
  5. I wouldn't, as @BluPanther says they're probably abroad and have no interest in guesting.
  6. I suspect rather than 'giving up' he's simply the best available.
  7. I think anyone who knows their stuff or doesn't have an agenda can see that clearly.
  8. Depends entirely on how they can cover Ben Cook I'd say. The guest system is an absolute lottery. Agree though, why would anyone give up on top four until it's mathematically impossible.
  9. Well done to Leicester, they were by far the better team across the two legs. But what an awful, dreadful speedway track that is. I wouldn't open my curtains if it was in my back garden. And the referee wants striking off for the heat 6 decision.
  10. Many of your posts suggest you are pretty clueless about how speedway actually works and that bowl of word salad confirms it ๐Ÿ‘
  11. Yep looks like it was R/R for him tonight. Doesn't necessarily mean he was injured as not all riders seem to ride over there every time but perhaps he's had a reoccurrence. How is it desperation? He is Lynn's form rider and is able to have seven rides at reserve so would be daft not to use him the maximum number of times if possible. But as people have said we need others to score well too. For the umpteenth time this team is built on a strong reserve.
  12. I think he'd fallen that week and hurt his neck from memory. I would expect a fully fit and in-the-groove Nicolai to score several more than that tomorrow.
  13. We've had this with Bomber occasionally this year, he's generally been excellent but once or twice he's had no speed and been way off it. His bike set ups are obviously quite specific and if its not quite right he goes from hare to tortoise.
  14. They were the best times I've had as a Lynn fan. Every week and last heat decider and Henka was just something else at Lynn, so so good from the back. Don't think its money, just Robert not wanting to do the UK.
  15. I think so, would love to see some BV style red shale on it. But stocks rule unfortunately.
  16. Klindt far too soft on Fricke there, should have squeezed him right up and got Kvech through too. Leicester have been much more ruthless when needed.
  17. Leicester are much sharper from the tapes and then much tougher when they need to be. Great ride there from Fricke. Lynn a bit of a three man side at the moment. Need some big rides after the interval to have any hope on Thursday.
  18. I don't think we did really. Jason had a spell with us in 2023 and struggled with the track surface so I don't think either party would have been keen on another go. I think Luke and Jody have done ok. As for next year, if the RS system is still in force I'd have thought Cooper would be in the frame too.
  19. Quite a while ago now. My first couple of meetings there were in 1993 & 1995 while on holiday, it was the old narrow track but was prepared well and was fast. There was also some good racing in the late 90's / early 00's as the new shape.
  20. No, its because over the years and sometimes nowadays you have had blue grooves, bumps, holes, dust and all manner of bad stuff. It's a shame because once upon a time it was a great track.
  21. Yes it is, Brennan is a great choice. May I remind you that Kerr has scored a paid seventeen at Lynn this season ๐Ÿ˜‰
  22. Nope, going by what I saw with my own eyes earlier in the season. I'm certainly not digging him out as he'll probably end up with a medal this year and has loads of time on his side but I expected a little more.
