  1. The counter argument would be that promoters refuse to pay over the odds in order to keep their tracks open. Well probably never know the truth but the bottom line is that riding for Glasgow and nowhere else isn’t doing him any good.
  2. I expect he will drop the UK one day as speedway over here is only going one way. But I don’t see what good poor scores over here in slow bikes would do him, success breeds success. If he was scoring big in Sweden and Poland I’d agree with you perhaps but he ain’t....no doubt he’ll get it together soon. Going to be a massive learning curve on Saturday night especially if he carries on with the sluggish starts.
  3. Not you, Mr Webb. It was forum bingo with him fawning over Rory and criticising Robert. People who were there have said it was a tough track to pass on so it’s not rocket science why their scores were so different and it’s nothing to do with effort or commitment. I can’t believe a young rider with the world at his feet with so much to race for and achieve this season would scrimp on kit anywhere. Too easy to blame machinery, he’s not quite on it yet especially his gating and his scores reflect that. If it were his bikes it’s more likely to be a change to try and go faster which isn’t working.
  4. So Belle Vue ‘screwed him over with money’ and Buster ‘screwed him over’ with the sponsorship thing. As the common denominator perhaps the rider himself is the issue.
  5. Mate I think you know by now that you need to take contributions from these two posters with a pinch of salt. I’m still laughing at the idea that those who score well give 100% and those who score poorly don’t if only speedway was that simple.
  6. Wolves is a tough place to go and they have a good side this year so 39 points isn’t the end of the world but when your bottom three score that well it’s disappointing not to come away with something. Lambert not making consistent starts in any league this year at the moment compared to last year hence his scores, needs to get it sorted ASAP. Hope the team can bounce back on Thursday.
  7. Never thought for a moment that Lasse wouldn’t ride if he could....however strong R/R might be you never want to go into a meeting with six riders, only takes one crash and you can be down to five or even four fit men in the blink of an eye.
  8. It’s difficult to disagree with a lot of what you say about Buster but are crowds decreasing at Lynn? I’m not so sure. By all accounts the attendances at ‘his’ three tracks seem pretty healthy at the moment. Happy to be proved wrong with figures / evidence.
  9. This seems to happen every season unfortunately, the lack of an explanation isn’t good enough when people made arrangements weeks or months before the cancellation. Eventually promoters will wonder why away fans don’t bother.
  10. I hadn’t even realised this was happening tomorrow. Difficult to say really, would like to think we could get a point but has rarely been a happy hunting ground for us in the past.
  11. I was there and thoroughly enjoyed it as I always do my trips to Belle Vue but gather it didn’t come across anywhere as well on telly.
  12. Has Garrity been back since he had a scrap with Sneddon?
  13. More like different club different rules. We’ve been there before. You'd like to think that where a declared rider can’t start the season who is a long serving club man then a bit of common sense could be applied for his reintroduction.
  14. Yet another dig at one of the clubs who have bothered to to look professional rather than a bunch of ragbag amateurs - very sad although not unexpected.
  15. So the team predicted to finish top can only beat the team predicted to finish bottom by two points at home....either the league is going to be tighter than a tight thing or one or both of those predictions is wrong.
  16. Maybe it’s just in this part of the world but as an outdoor self employed worker I find BBC weather to be pretty accurate.
  17. Oops indeed. Can’t believe he has got in ahead of Bewley but will be delighted if he proves me wrong and scores hatfuls.
  18. Maybe not so unnecessary when you consider the state of Swindon’s racesuits? It does seem like Cook could be piggy in the middle though. Everybody loses out which is the sad part.
  19. All the bits and pieces of info which have come out today between CFS and Cook might explain why he isn’t lining up for P'boro this year.
