Can only speak as I have found and he was excellent for Lynn in 2003 as well as on the majority of visits as a visiting rider. Remember a great performance in the 2007 ELRC at Lynn when the track started of a little less than ideal. Happy retirement.

Wolves V King's Lynn 1st May 6.00 Pm
Bagpuss replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Very rarely been a happy hunting ground for Lynn. Now that Wolves have made changes and run into some better form I can't see anything other than a comfortable home win. -
Seems he had one of those nights, down to earth with a bump after Wednesdays triumph. It happens, has the opportunity to get back into the groove at Somerset tonight. Redcar look handy, if they can get Busch back and replace Hall with a half decent youngster they could be in the shake up come September.

Somerset Rebels Vs Kings Lynn Stars : 28th April.

This should be a good away track for Lynn really, would expect us to be getting a point at least despite the Rebels being very strong at home. Need a good result somewhere to kick start the season. -
Somerset Rebels Vs Kings Lynn Stars : 28th April.
Bagpuss replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
From Somerset site: The Cases Somerset Rebels will look to put last Fridays home defeat at the hands of Swindon behind them when they welcome the Kings Lynn Stars to the Oaktree Arena on Friday (28th) night. This is the return SGB Premiership league fixture between the two sides from when they met at the Adrian Flux Arena at the start of the month, the Norfolk side running out 53-37 winners on the night. Kings Lynn are normally spearheaded by the duo who won the SGB Premiership Pairs crown at the Oaktree Arena at the end of March, namely the 2012 World Champion, Chris Holder, and young British star, Robert Lambert, but with Saturday seeing the opening round of Speedways World Championship Grand Prix series taking place in Slovenia, it means that Holder will be absent from the Kings Lynn line-up as official practice for the meeting takes place that same day, and so the Stars have book Craig Cook, the current Oaktree Arena track record holder, as a guest replacement. The Kings Lynn top 5 is completed Lewis Rose, who had a short spell with Somerset at the end of the 2013 season, Dane Niklas Porsing and the 2013 Australian Champion Troy Batchelor, while at reserve the Stars track the two-time German Champion, Kai Huckenbeck and another young British rider, Josh Bailey. Somerset will welcome Patrick Hougaard back to their ranks after the Dane missed last Fridays home defeat against Swindon due to him riding in qualifying meeting for the Danish Championship, which, ironically, was rained-off, and team manager Garry May is looking for his team to bounce back from that defeat; There will be no better way than to put the disappointment of last Fridays home defeat behind us than by taking it out on the Stars, he said, whilst at the same time getting revenge for Kings Lynn beating us on their home shale at the beginning of the month. What we need, however, is for the Somerset fans to turn out in force once again to get right behind the boys as they look to get back to winning ways and if the on-track action is half as good as what we saw last Friday, then the crowd are in for another treat. Cases Somerset Rebels v Kings Lynn Stars SGB Premiership Oaktree Arena Friday 28th April Gates Open 6.00pm, Tapes-Up 7.30pm Admission Prices: Adults £16.00, Concessions £14.00, Young Adults (12-18 inclusive) £6.00, Children (6-11 inclusive) £2.00 Children (5 & under) Free. Programme: £3.00 Car Parking: £1.50 Teams: Somerset Rebels: Rohan Tungate (9.03), Josh Grajczonek [c] (8.90), Patrick Hougaard (8.70), Paul Starke (6.62), Charles Wright (6.59), Jake Allen (5.96), Jan Graversen (4.00); Team manager: Garry May Kings Lynn Stars: Craig Cook [g] (12.53), Robert Lambert [c] (8.70), Troy Batchelor (7.36), Niklas Porsing (6.99), Lewis Rose (5.97), Kai Huckenbeck (5.14), Josh Bailey (2.00)); Team manager: Dale Allitt ............................................... Presumably there is a doubt over Josh Bailey who pulled out of the U21 final last night but nothing on the website about this match at all. -
No brainer.

Six non GP Fridays needed to accommodate Lynn, Swindon and Wolves twice each at Somerset between March and September. Surely that could have been managed? Same for Rye and Leicester too.

King's Lynn V Belle Vue - 19 April 2017
Bagpuss replied to Mimmo's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You are always going to see some strung out racing at every track but we have seen far, far to much of it at Lynn. For whatever reason it's far too easy for the leading rider to pull out a massive lead over the first lap. -
Young uns 1-0 old crumblies.

Across a whole season I don't see them being an improvement. Prepared to be proved wrong by October though, we shall see. As somebody as already mentioned there is also the doubling up aspect to consider to and the lack of priority. -

Each to their own but I don't see Lasse or MPT as an improvement on Sedgemen. -

Exactly. If the racing was Belle Vue esque I don't think people would care how long the meetings took. -

Having seen two awful meetings in the last week I'm genuinely envious of what you guys are able to watch each week. We are actually up here at the moment as my in laws live in Manchester but couldn't get up early enough due to work, we will plan a couple of visits later in the season which involve leaving home early enough to take in the speedway. It's a pity that both Lynn visits are on Wednesdays which seems very odd. -

Quicker meetings might not add to the entertainment directly but if it's chilly and the racing is toilet surely is better to be able to head home at quarter past nine rather than quarter to ten? No brainer I'd have thought. -
No thanks on Clegg, overrated and Edinburgh would have priority.

Closing the throttle into corners = slowing the bikes down -
Incredibly defeatist attitude. Although probably just the usual arse covering. If your riders gate well you will win, simple as that.

Looks perfectly happy off the bike. I just don't think he's that committed to scoring points. Hope I'm wrong and he's just in bad form.
