  1. A few more wriggling about in Shovvy's keepnet.......
  2. I think you can see why people fancy Lynn and why people don't.....potentially the improvement in Lambert, Batchelor and Huckenbeck could make us serious challengers but it could also be argued that if that doesn't happen then Rose and Porsing are potentially weaker second strings than other fancied teams. As for Josh, I think he may surprise one or two people especially at home but anything he scores will be a bonus. Quite happy to be under the radar though as I don't think the pressure of 2014 did anybody any good.
  3. Completely agree, but I don't see things changing. 15 heats would be VFM for me if most of them were exciting rather than the majority being processional.
  4. He has been part of the Poultec training programme too which seems to be paying dividends.
  5. Old style second halves will never work again, riders want to be getting home straight after heat fifteen to prepare for their next commitment. Agree about MDL, at Lynn where meetings routinely drag on I'm sure more people would stay if the main event was all over in ninety minutes.
  6. With respect I think Bewley and Smith are a different kettle of fish to Clegg and Greaves. Belle Vue's top five is rock solid and I think they will push Poole a lot harder over two legs than Wolves did this week.
  7. On paper Clegg probably would have been the best number seven in the league across the whole season (and not just two challenge matches) because of his comparative experience and the average he has achieved in the PL (Championship).
  8. I think people need to realise that it's still March and these were two challenge matches. Very, very early days and there will have been cobwebs to blow away and machinery issues to iron out. Wouldn't be jumping to conclusions too soon, the play offs are an awful long way off.
  9. Will the first bend be ready for Easter Saturday so that we can fill it?
  10. Take a bow James Shanes! Great to see a young Brit doing so well, hopefully a few of the others in the top flight follow suit.
  11. Each to their own, I actually quite like them. At the end of the day though it doesn't really matter what they look like as long as they win speedway meetings.
  12. Would much rather be viewed like that than favourites.
  13. I think the main problem yesterday was the first heat wasn't completed until 45 minutes after the start time. Of course testimonials are different but bearing in mind there were 27 heats yesterday it probably should have been a bit slicker in its running. Different people will have different opinions of course but I'd say that three hours ought to be the absolute maximum for a meeting of this kind and two for a regular team match.
  14. I think riders are entitled to expect a smooth and consistent track regardless of how much or how little dirt is on it. Grippy patches, lumps & bumps and holes aren't really on nowadays and I think the best racing comes when riders can trust the track. It's true that Lynn isn't anywhere near as good as it used to be but ninety nine times out of a hundred it's smooth, mainly because of the equipment available at the stadium.
  15. He didn't say it was all Maud's fault, he blamed CVS too As conspiracy theories go that's a good un.
  16. The lateness of the decision appears to be because of the extra dates for which the two dropped riders wouldn't be available only just coming to light.
  17. Is it really any wonder you get the kind of replies that you do from some people? So rude.
  18. Great moves by Leicester to replace a rider who was never going to be there and an extremely inconsistent one with two Brits who will score well. Granted there will be fixture clashes but should mostly be able to get decent guests.
  19. You'd imagine that would be he mindset of any rider who rides over here and in Poland. I guess it's up to the team manager to motivate that rider, and surely once the helmet goes on and the tapes rise racing instinct kicks in. The much lower level of opposition for riders like Holder and Doyle allows them to take it a little easier in most heats over here too.
  20. Moot anyway as they have signed for Leicester.
