The first anybody officially knew about it was the press release. I had a thought about that. Start with Cook technically in the team. Might be a way of "fixing" the situation. Do you actually get a financial fine for withholding your services? Depends on where Cook's head is at. What's to stop him from contacting the BSPA and saying "I'm not withholding my services, I've told them to remove me from the team"? Isn't it pretty much the same thing if he has signed a contract? Palm Toft looks most likely. A quick google search shows he averaged 8.08 in 2024 (8.88 at home/7.23 away). Could do a lot worse than that unless there is something I have missed and thats why Berwick fans dont want him? Certainly stronger than going down the road of a newcomer with an assessed average.
