Doyley came across from gate 3 and made contact with Fricke off 1, it looked like Fricke may have caught a groove going into turn 1 that may have sent him slightly wider than he wanted to go, the contact sent Doyle into the fence and then drew Fricke even wider.

Yeh ok I can agree with that account of events.  Fricke did seem to get propelled forward unintentionally

Well a dislocated hip was far better than an open fracture which has been mentioned.

Indeed - it's not often that a dislocated hip is good news!!

Dislocated hip usually takes 2-3 months healing for a ‘normal’ person but we know that speedway riders are far from that when it comes to recovery time.  Wonder how long it’ll be before Doyle is back 1-2 months or will Częstochowa be pushing him to come back sooner, we know they don’t run guest over in Poland so will want him back asap, whereas sure Ipswich will be able to cover for him through R/R or a guest depending on track and opposition

Horrible weekend for the Witches.

But, this is where the play off system comes into its own.,

Hopefully, in 3 months time, both will be able to represent Ipswich in the play offs...

Some riders in the past have continued with a broken scaphoid but there is a bit of discomfort!

There was a doctor, who's name I can't remember, back in the 60s/70s,who many riders with a broken scaphoid went to,and he seemed to be able to get them back racing quite quickly.

Or Brian Simpson? Wasn't he based Ippo way?

Riders tend to go off to Poland these days for top quality medical treatment. Maybe a reflection of the state of our health service and the cost of private treatment.

Could have been Brian, he did work miracles,  but sadly he's long retired.
