PhilTheAce
Don’t think both Jason and Dan will be out to long. 3-4 weeks for both I suggest
Jonny the spud
If Dan can get the scaphoid plated and screwed it’ll be 4-6 weeks.

TheSmiler
I hope Dan and Jason make a quick recovery. I feel for the Witches, plagued by injuries yet again.

My total hip replacement was about 8 weeks, 10 weeks before I could go back to normal with sport etc. so it will be much quicker than that, as you say. ShanoXtra
I’d guess Doyle would be aiming for Malilla GP as a realistic target, giving him about 4 or 5 rounds left to try and get a top 6 finish.

ShanoXtra
Don’t shoot the messenger, but this in Poland today: However, everything indicates that Jason Doyle will return to competition sooner than expected. On Thursday evening on the X service, Eurosport commentator Michał Korościel reported that it is almost certain that the Australian will start in the upcoming round of the Speedway Grand Prix. It will take place on May 31 on the track in Prague. It will be exactly two weeks since Doyle's fall in Warsaw, which is full of admiration.
Gambo95
Going by the averages on the British speedway website, Emil will be number 1 in June. Wonder how that will affect guests, rr etc. Dan seems to be above Brady also for Belle Vue (possibly match to change that). Edited Friday at 03:30 PM by Gambo95 Info added. No change as to who can take a ride but does give flexibility as to where RR is used

old bob at herne bay Posted yesterday at 07:43 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:43 PM O fansmust be hoping for an early return of Doyle. Their management seem keen to use R/R as per last season which was not a success. Old Doyle really is injury prone in his later speedway career. Always forceful, he just isn’t quite the rider he once was and sadly seems to come off worse in these racing incidents. It would be sad to see Ippo denied the p.off championship a second year due to injuries to Doyle and others.

Actually, they didn't have much choice last Thursday having six of the seven clubs in action. They could face the same challenge on 2nd and 5th June v King's Lynn unless Jason is back by then. Hawkins & Louis know a thing or two about team selection and only 8 away meetings ago made another good call when selecting him at number one where he put in a top scoring performance. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/24results/sheffield_02.09.24_res.pdf Jaimon is even better currently and when looking at the opposition only three riders (all number ones) have a higher away average. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2025-rider-statistics/ I’m sure the shrewd witches management will be monitoring his availability again. InTheDeepStuff
Hopefully Częstochowa aren’t putting the pressure on Doyle to ride and it’s his decision, we’ve seen the Polish teams force unfit riders to ride before. Last thing Doyle of Ipswich need is a 60% fit Doyle riding having another off and being out for a lengthy period

ShanoXtra
Pressure from Częstochowa I’m sure which is seeing him return in a few minutes to ride tonight. I’m sure another week or so would have done him good. As long as he doesn’t come out with any longer term injuries by coming back to soon, obviously the amount of money he can earn per point I’m sure is luring him back as well.
