AlexBrady
Sorry to say that I am not one of the parties mentioned in attempting to buy Ipswich - I do hope they find a buyer however and manage to make it to tapes for 2026! 5

How do we tempt you? You seemed a decent guy in the brief time you were involved. You'd make a good Ipswich owner. If you don't fancy Ipswich, how about being the one to open Northampton?

cowboy cookie returns?
Hot off the press. A new premiership club is opening in the Portsmouth area. The Redknapp ‘bet victor’ Barons will take to the track in May 2026

It sounded like they are only interested if there are no other bidders, just to keep the club going. Perhaps Terry Russell Licence on ice - does that situation run out this year? Swindon won't be ready Links to Doyle and Ellis Arguably owes the sport given his gain from the Sky deals.....

Despite his many distractors he brought more cash into the sport than anyone , granted he took out more than anyone also but there's probably no one else I can think of who brought in more than seven figures to speedway, wouldn't be a bad outcome if he came back, he's certainly not short of money.

Not forgetting the brown envelope from G.I. for stating that speedway wasn't viable any longer at the Abbey!!! Hence the BSPL taking the licence back. It's the same in football - the days of the local wealthy businessman owing a club are long gone now its all million or billionaires - in fact Millionaires propbably can't own a club outside the top 2-3 divisions now as they are not rich enough! It was very telling that when the Blades last got into the premiership their owner the only Sheik who seemed potless immediately put them up for sale as I suspect he realised he couldn't bankroll a premiership team!
