People will still turn up for their speedway fix. When it’s ingrained from an early age it’s hard to turn your back on it I reckon. It’s just a shame that there’s nothing really to celebrate if you come out on top of 4 other teams. People still will though and that’s their right I suppose. Baldyman
Now i wonder if one of those to run ipswich is an ex aussie rider that has both track curating and promoting experience, that would be handy

Good to hear phil, didnt the mob who originally ran the gp series buy Reading back in the day when Sudden Sam was on 70-80k for pretty much high fiving the team ? He just does a deal with BSPL to lease the Stadium to the BSPL/ Speedway Futures , not a specific Promoter , the BSPL stick a tried and tested and trusted promotional Team in there to run it on behalf of BSPL. May be linked to Speedway Futures? who pick up the Financial accountability. Is this a model for the future (excuse the pun) to grow the Sport. Speedway Futures become almost like a "Speedway Administrator" picking up Tracks in Financial Difficulty - taking on financial responsibility and putting in registered and regulated Promoters to manage day to day on a set salary. Instead of milking the Promotions for fees and bonds and everything else the BSPL / Speedway Futures becomes the financial funding point. In which case - they send two accomplished fire-fighters in to secure the future. Van Stratten and Adams would be the most logical pairing (at least for 12 months) given the small number of Fixtures. If serious money ever came in that would be probably the best way forward and then lease out like a franchise model the promotion to interested parties but you would have one big dog hopefully acting in the sports interest rather than eveyone pulling in purely their own direction.

SPEEDY69
If it is Mayfield then I think it's definitely Woffinden at No.1. The Mayfield man is good friends with him and got him his GP place for this season.

Opinions are fine but please don’t present them as fact without even checking. Yep thanks for that would love a heat leader at Ipswich whose average has gone DOWN each season at Foxhall when in reality it should be going the other way Luke Becker by those stats clearly rides Foxhall much better than Lidsey though every Ipswich fan knows that … and has got better there year on year Musielek on his first visit to Foxhall last season scored poorly with bike troubles …. On his second visit got 7 from 5 riding at number 1….. a score Lidsey matched once in 4 visits last season riding at the easier number 3 berth …. So yes thanks for posting cold hard stats without any bias that clearly shows that Lidsey would be a bang average signing at best Edited 15 hours ago by Gavan

TB1
Lots of opinions on here regarding signings let just wait and see unless you know something come forward and declare yourselves. For all we know it could be Zippy, Bungle and George at 1 3 and 5!

They won’t be at Ipswich, but don’t rule them out lining up for ‘the 6th team’🫤

TTT
SpeedwayGP website has Tai Woffinden listed as a Sheffield Rider. If true then we need to be all over Josh Pickering ASAP, Leader on and off the track who's racked up big scores around Foxhall.
