RIP Terry Russell

Recommended Posts

Very sad to hear this. Terry along with Ivan Henry were great at Arena for the years they were there.  I know he was part of the consortium trying to bring Speedway back to Swindon so this must have been sudden.  All the best to his family and friends at this time.

Very sad to hear about this.  He was a bit like Marmite but he was instrumental in getting the original Sky contract all those years ago and him and his brother were key figures at Swindon.  RIP Terry.

Whatever your view on him he certainly had Speedway in his blood and did much good at a number of clubs

Thoughts and best wishes to his family and friends

A big shame.  I certainly didn't agree with everything Terry Russell said or did but gotta say he did blooming well (to say the least) wis his involvement getting speedway shown on Sky Sports & into the (was) Millienium Stadium, now Principality Stadium in Cardiff.  RIP....

R.I.P. Terry. I met him a few times socially and he was good company.

I hesitate to ask this, but what effect if any will it have on Swindon Motorsports and their proposals?

RIP Terry, thanks for all the good times at Swindon as regards Studley Grange. It was never going to happen anyway, so there will be no effect.
Speaks volumes that Motorsports couldn’t even acknowledge one of their directors passing.

I think it will be easier for CO to claim that it's impossible for Speedway to survive in Swindon.
