Sure they would rather not do 2 in a day but officials, riders and fans travel, hotels would surely come into any discussions along with a detailed weather forecast. Belle Vue have said the Fan Zone is on both days and will i suspect open for several hours before the turnstiles open. I also know they have emailed Friday ticket holders to let them know they can attend Friday’s qualifying and Sprint race(2 pm start). They have to apply for a free ticket. Practice starts at 2:00 p.m. but the parking at St Peter's school does not open till 4:30 p.m. I queried this with BV and they recommend the park and ride. Logistical nightmare for the fans .. Some fans may have bought tickets for only one event. Perhaps Mayfield have tempted fate by stating only 2 SGPs cancelled for rain in the last 10 years.
