The younger riders who rode last night, and those watching on TV, or in the stands, could truly be traumatised by watching the level of capability of the very best....  :D

They must see a gulf between their level and the level of the top lads...

People say that want "new faces" in the GP's, but the bottom line is the older heads, of many GP years standing, are still considerably better, and even, still now, more attacking and aggressive....

Add in Bewley, Lindgren and Kubera to this weekends action and it would have raised it up even more, even higher from the incredible standard it was....

Two out of three ain't bad....

Just got home and watched the final, the reason crowd sounds like no atmosphere they only had microphones down home straight.
South stand was crazy especially when Kurtz won, poles starting chants throughout  etc.

But all you can hear are the prawn sandwich brigade in expensive seats.

Sadly every time the camera panned to the crowd it did look a little that way, the average age of those they panned to must have been age 50!  The fanbase/lack of excitement in the crows not a great advert really to any young fans watching at home.

The racing was superb across both nights, I am still not sure two GPs across the same weekend is good for the sport. In most cases riders that not dialled in on the first night, are probably not going to be dialled in on the second night.

The TV production also seemed to focus on riders battling for 3rd/4th and a couple of times missed a race at the front.

"Speedway from the Gods"

I think Friday night the racing was better , on Saturday it took a few heats to get going but ended in a Crescendo .

One night  GP at the NSS would be ideal but financially its not viable with the current capacity of the stadium.

The Fanzone has run its course a bit unless it has more substance cannot really see the point , we went in walked round in 5 minutes and came out.

Just want to add to the praise and thanks for the two stunning GPs - the racing was so exciting as the track comes to the riders as the meeting proceeds and no matter what anyone says, the fans in the stadium loved it even if they were filling in their programmes!

Met some nice fans, including a young man who has been seeing BV since 1955! He was as excited as anyone around when Kurtz won!

I am happy to get a 2 for 1 for such high quality speedway and I'll try and be back next season too - despite having my car broken into in a city centre car park, it was worth it (almost!)

I feel like both nights were the opposite to each other personally. Friday started off electric and gradually weakened until it finished, whereas Saturday started slower and ramped up to an epic final.

If I were given the choice I would choose Saturday as a brilliant final leaves a better taste in the mouth.

Agree Friday semi and final spoilt by the rain but I feel overall slightly better on Friday but I’m nitpicking both nights were very good

2 nites of fast and furious racing, nearly worth the ticket price, £2 each way ont bus, from city centre , but £7 a pint 😲 if your going to have a fan zone, the short appearance of the riders won't keep fans standing around all day, and with very little else in the area to mingle and meet fellow fans, how about, having local singers/ bands on during the afternoon in a marquee with a beer stall 🤔

Interesting listening to Lemo on the Tatum Talks podcast where he mentioned that the 2024 SoN was a financial disaster and that (speaking in the week prior to the GP events) there were still 800 tickets available for the Friday night (just the £80,000)!

The Fanzone was pretty poor....

I was surprised riders didn't have merch stalls there...

I presume the lack of fast food and bar was due to those who had paid to have their units within the stadium?...

We didn't bother with the fanzone in the 2nd day...

Overall though a cracking weekends racing...

Agree about the fanzone , riders merchandise would have sold well

I heard last year the organisers wanted £2k up front for riders to have merchandise stall ….

More food outlets in the zone would he been ideal … all red tape

I am going to get a T Shirt printed saying “ I was there Manchester 2026” 😃😃

Anyone know why Lebedevs was struggling. He's a tough rider, yet didn't seem to get to grips with BV.  Can't remember how he did in last year's 2 meetings.

I don’t think he was struggling as such it was the high level of competitors on a brilliant track.

He was poor last year as well. One point on Friday, six on Saturday.

Strange to see his score at end of a meeting at the NSS....

I don't buy a programme so never keep scores...

However, just watching him race he always seems to be in the mix most times, yet ends up with a score that doesn't ever seem to reflect his efforts...

I do remember him scoring well in the SON....

I think generally those who don't race in the UK struggled on Friday & Saturday.
