Bowes was so upset, in tears in the pits especially after being blocked against the pit fence by Pijper in his 2nd ride and then engine troubles in his last. Good to see him putting g some extra laps in after the meeting. Incidentally Klindt clocked the fastest time of the season so far. All times were fast compared to previous weeks. Also well worthy of a mention and Sponsors Rider of the Night, Will Cairns - 11 points as well as a heat 14 blown engine on his lap of honour . We have rode at home 3 times … I went to the first meeting of the season simply because it’s the first meeting and we all miss our speedway …. The track was shocking .. we don’t have the best track but it’s been better last couple of seasons …. I gave the second match a miss as it was Northampton and the third match I didn’t go to as it was King’s Lynn again …. However the people I sit with moaned the track was awful both times…..I will go to Belle Vue at home next week to see Bewley and Kurtz Would just be nice if for once the usual Poole suspects actually spoke the truth ..as opposed to the usual Ipswich suspect talking his usual b0!!○<ks. 2

Will Cairns was fantastic tonight, shame about the engine, I suppose that scuppered any chance he had of doing a fully deserved heat 15. Bowes lifted slightly going into bend 1 before losing his line and drifting towards the fence on turn 2. In real time it looked like Pijper stuffed him in the fence but the replay shows that wasn't the case. Pijper took a wide line out of turn 2 but Bowes had already drifted wider of his own accord due to lifting.

The view of those there in real time was that he went out wide for the extra grip and got blocked by Pijper. Nothing wrong with that tactic by the way but Bowes clearly had the speed and Pijper was 'extra determined' not to be overtaken after his heat 2 d/q. Roger Jacobs
Scoring half a team's points across 16 heats is impressive enough without it being a full maximum, which is an amazingly rare occurrence.

I know it has been discussed many times on here but Poole don't have to cover their paying customers in dust and prep a track that provides very little in the way of entertainment when they build such strong teams. it has been said numerous times yes but the fans bury there head in the sand as long as they are winning (which they always do)

Their track is now "shocking" when once it suited "proper Speedway riders, not throttle jockeys".... Good to see Will Cairns' score last night, there does seem to be a bit of a "pile on" for the kid, now and again, from some, for some reason... As with all the young UK lads, just let them develop and see where they end up... The sport is desperate for more supply than demand so if these lads only reach tier two second string status they are playing their part....

Allen was his normal self at Wimborne Road, the rest were awful. Lawson did not gate in one race but had little trouble passing both bears before the 3rd bend. Ace was his usual self moaning about his fall, never his fault.

Yes our track for the past 2-3 seasons has been much better than it used to be … and yes it doesn’t suit riders who don’t have a larger skill set but those with talent and desire attack it and make the best of it . However this season it’s been poor really poor .. I’m not a deluded fan like a lot of Poole fans and just say the racing is excellent at my home track when clearly it isn’t Bewley doesn’t often do well there but is always complimentary about the track and tries 110% same as Fricke …. The only top riders I see that back off if they miss the gate are Kurtz and both Holders. I wish all tracks could be like Belle Vue but they aren’t so you pick a side that will go well at home on a track they excel at….. last season at Ipswich we struggled most against Kings Lynn who had Kvech Harris and Lawson as heat leaders … not a patch on Bewley Klindt and Lidsey …. But at Ipswich the first named trio performed better Poole field their team with gaters and it’s understandable when they have a track like they do .. same as us at Ipswich I remember an interview with Todd Wiltshire a few years back saying he used to be mesmerised with the skill set of Andrew Silver and Mark Loram on how they rode Arena Essex …. I remember seeing Darcy at Lakeside and he was a genius on that track for someone so young to have that throttle control was unreal

For balance he also won the Remembering Rico meeting with six wins out of six in 2012, then in 2013 he scored 17 from 6 for Poole, and then paid 19 for Swindon in 2015 so I think we can say he cracked it eventually.
