Workington v Berwick 02/08/2026 Championship 3pm .

Recommended Posts

A good meeting somewhat spoiled by the unfortunate injury to Tate. Hopefully we get some good news!

I think all the Comets riders dug deep today and put in a better performance then they have lately.

Jeppesen seemed to find something later on in the meeting that he's been missing for weeks, looked down on pace in his first 2 rides compared to what he can produce.

Drew Kemp is now also finding the fastest line around Northside, and NHJ gave us something we've been lacking at reserve, interesting that he said in his BSN interview that's he's gone away recently and decided to ride a bit more conservatively at times, instead of trying to make every overtake possible and coming off. It showed today, looked miles better.

How does Workington have IRR?

Tate had started his 3rd ride so surely no IRR.

He hadn’t finished though and injured in which the other rider involved was excluded. So was not his fault.

Get well soon Tate .

A great comeback after Tates crash when the Comets looked to really push on for the win after it looks like Berwick would win the meeting .

All the lads chipped in with vital points , Drew and Jonas especially won some good races.

But he wasn't excluded , was unfit for the rerun,so irr allowed

Sure there has been other cases when this hasn't been the case.

Also reported that when Nick got injured in heat 15 a few weeks ago, although he was unable to take his place in the re run it would count as a ride (therefore affecting his average).

The problem with Victor is he was signed on falsely high average, which was gain by riding for Edinburgh at reserve at a track with a huge home track advantage if you can ride it(which he could) over 10 pt at one point,he went into the Top 5 as was mediocre but seemingly riding with illness.Finished the season on an inflated average IMO.Im afraid scoring your average doesn’t mean that much, when you see who he took his points off.Away from home he has been very poor for a Heatleader and costing the Bandits. In previous seasons I have been critical of Jye away from home but this season he has really stepped and I give him credit but I has been negated by not having a3rd heat leader.

i still can’t disagree with that but is there not a rule saying no changes past a certain point? Are we past that? And even if we can, who? Then even if someone could be found it’s a stick or twist situation. Victor hasn’t been a great signing over all. But after the last two day is it possibly better the devil you know?

It was a racing incident there was not a lot of contact ,but it was Morris to blame.NH Jacobsen wouldn’t have finished many meeting colliding with opponents was taken into account.🤔

Correct, and the guy on pro boards that seemed to want Nick banned for life might want to consider how Reid ended up with fractured vertebrae.

That is an anomaly of the rules, brought in for no logical reason this year.

Counts as a ride in his average but not in his completed races count.

Nasty looking fall for Tate, hope its not as bad as it looked to his shoulder area.

Trouble is, the track being what it was, the only option was the inside line and Nick went in too quickly, its going to happen when riders are all chasing the same line, credit to Steve for trying to get water on it but it was just too dry from the start.
