You have to strike a balance between getting carried away and actually looking to hurt another rider, the younger the rider the more chance they will try moves older riders will not risk.

I think to an extent, because we have such a lack of young riders now, fans have forgotten how back in the day there were tons or riders who were a bit harem scarem, but thinking about it, it wasnt just the young riders.

Think back when we had the likes of Kelvin Mullarkey, Jamie Habbin, Scott Smith, Rob Tilbury, Jan Pedersen, Rob Grant, Richard Green etc etc a lot of hard riders often on the verge of being over the top.

Also, I would have a Cooper Rushden in my team any day over a Troy Batchelor.

Throw Josh Auty into that list. He ruffled a few feathers with his determined riding just like Cooper back in the day when he first started.

You absolute liar, we have all seen the video of him kicking out at Jye from the tapes.

Having just watched last night's heat 14, I note nothing has been said about Battye's right elbow into Rushen's neck as he came out of gate 1 towards gate 2? Unsatisfactory (dangerous?) start as a bare minimum!

Tsk tsk, these youngsters eh? what are we going to do with them....? Answers on a postcard to SCB Towers, Rugby.🤣

They did say there might be someone immintently but not who that was. But they did list 5/6 riders who nearly came. Lasse Frediksen was the one who signed but pulled out due to personal reasons.

Thank you

Etheridge is a dirty rider was the same a couple of weeks ago at Oxford no suprise he's involved

You may want to read a little further back as you clearly have no idea what happened. Jye wasn’t even in the race. That was the issue last night.

Looking back over last Saturday's excitement, perhaps the best observations came from the website reportage.   Two paragraphs from which rather sums it up:

"...but when all seemed lost, the 2026 Bandits and their own local hero of choice stepped up to the plate and --- with the assistance of a rash teenager and an unfathomable piece of tactical incompetence --- reignited the playoff flame".

followed later by:

"......celebrations which seem to have got up the nose of the charmless Havelock, who raged over Rushen's exclusion, the floodlighting and just about everything else post-match.  All decent attempts to deflect from his tactical shortcomings"

Which more or less sums it up.   Whatever your views, this was a nerve-tingling meeting with an amazing conclusion and just the thing to keep the Berwick public -- who have been solid in their support in this, their 59th season of speedway, coming back for the next helping on August 22nd....

Havvy seems to have lost the plot completely these days. No need for some of his comments, just sour grapes trying to cover his inept Team Management.
