  1. Past hour
  2. Another abysmal display from Redcar apart from Wright , afraid to say that’s the season over with regard to play offs for the league , the side is just too inconsistent , you don’t win anything with one single heat leader , if the rules permit ( I don’t know) they should have kept Klindt and restructured the team to provide top end strength.
  3. Maybe he scratched his elbow. No. Aces were fine until the TS, that swung the meeting completely. Stupid decision from Lemon to use Blodorn in heat 9.
  4. It's a difficult one. We aren't performing well but we should be beating Edinburgh. Klindt loves our track and I expect our reserves to be competing with theres. Sedgeman hasn't really taken to our track when ive seen him around northside. Expecting comets to nick it but it'll be a close competition. 48-42.

  6. They couldn't fit vuolas in anyways unless they made 2 changes.
  7. Scunthorpe can't change their team now as they've Rode 75% of their meetings now. So afraid you're stuck with Palm Toft now. Only 3 more home meetings this season though to put up with him for. (2 league and a playoff Semi-Final)
  8. Today
  9. Had a look a while ago seems the only person on the forum is @IainB and I think he set it up
  10. Me flag and myself apparently made an appearance on pilots TV. Do I get any appearance money 🤣
  11. For those interested, there’s a load of speedway programs and badges coming up for auction this weekend. https://www.easyliveauction.com/catalogue/9a37cc655655f01289bbb3f3ffbb8010/0af8d24542e81eb9357e7ef448a6646f/antiques-collectables-auction-featuring-a-quantity-of-spee/
  12. Got a shout out as part of the NID crew
  13. Chasing bonus point now tonight Reserves 2 points from 7 rides at half way at Oxford
  14. You been reading the famous book written by Ouch. Belle Vue the unluckiest team in history!
  15. I have just spotted Anti Vuolas in the crowd which is an interesting one!
  16. The Isle of Wight will wake, from its slumber, this Tuesday 28th July Warriors v A R H Cradley Heathens battling it out for the Vince Mapley Memorial Trophy Warriors Ryan Ingram Mickie Simpson Aaron Butcher Charlie Southwick Danno Verge (C) Tayla Street A R H Cradley James Shanes Nathan Hargrave Harry Sadler Alex Spooner Charlie Wood Seth Norman
  17. Have the scorpions signed Antti Vuolas?
  18. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there. The capitulation of Jason’s Aces teammates is a common thread and it’s something they need to work on. Just looking at our recent wins at Northampton & Kings Lynn clearly shows the lack of points scoring by his team mates to secure a win without Jason’s top scoring contribution. This is by no means a new thing with the lack lust Aces as losses would have been more common without the input of other top scores from Peter Collins to Jason Crump.
  19. I think what it showed, clearly, is that Leicester are the firm favourites for the title... Plucky Belle Vue will do their best as underdogs but it is so obvious that it is Leicester's to lose... Let's hope, for UK Speedway, that the Aces can at least keep it close if they meet in the final... 😉
  20. Lambert will ride like a dying duck in a thunderstorm
  21. SCUNTHORPE: Josh Pickering, Connor Mountain, Dan Gilkes, Michael Palm Toft, Luke Harrison, Ryan Ingram, Nathan Ablitt. REDCAR: Charles Wright, Simon Lambert, Jake Mulford, Jason Edwards, Jake Allen, Ace Pijper, Jody Scott. Im looking forward to the battles between Pickering and Wright and also i think Redcar might edge it at reserve, Allen and Lambert are ex Scorpions so i like think this will be a close meeting.
  22. that muppet proud panther was trying to make himself look clever commenting on my spelling ,, I know he's too thick to understand so i pointed it out to him that anything edited is underscored with edited , it's not rocket science except for morons
  23. My thoughts on the decline. 1 Amount of entertainment per match. When I first started going, typically 21 races including 2nd half. Now it's 15. 2 Prices. Saw an article mentioning prices ( for a top division match) in the 80s. Had admission only gone up by inflation would about £9 adults, and £5 pensioners. Now more like £25/£23. This means the price per race has increased from around £0.43 to £1.66 for adults, and £0.24 to £1.53 pensioners. 3 Amount of time a meeting now takes. Seems to take longer now to do 15 races, than it did, many years ago. Recently went to Buxton. 3pm start, had hoped that all 15 main races and the extra MDL races would have been completed by 5pm. At 5.15, only 12 races had been completed, and they announced there would be an interval. At this point I left. Many followed. Some were departing as early as race 8. Will those people go back?. Simply taking longer to do less is not more entertaining. 4 "Gardening" at the tapes. Just boring to watch. 5 Dodgy call offs. 6 Lack of loyalty to long term fans. Seems to be some very good offers to potentially new and younger fans. All we regular fans seem to be getting is "the match has been called off" Someone is kicking a ball about/ there's something on the telly. We waited long enough for this year's fixtures, could at least try to stick to them. Not all speedway fans like football. Don't they matter?
