But any Danish riders are gonna choose Denmark on a Wednesday as a lot of their sponsors are Danish so need the exposure in their home country before Poole on a Wednesday nite
-
Oh right how did all clubs manage it in the past?

GP venues and news for 2027
aarongaleuk replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
That's the assumption based on the cryptic trailer, but do we have any other evidence of that? WB didn't want it anymore so clearly if it runs Richard Coleman wants to keep the temporary tracks. What I would like to see is for Mayfield to come out and say that Cardiff will be back next year and to make it clear to people they need to use it and if people don't turn out it will dropped, give people a chance again with Richard Coleman at the helm. -
The key words there being "at the moment".. A decent six figure TV paynent, per team, for the top tier would encourage movement I suggest, as would being allowed to use Wednesdays... I don't think too many riders will ride over here and Denmark, therefore there shouldn't be too many clashes.. I presume the Championship is being set up to be a league for "the hobbyists" and the top tier seen as the league of "the professionals"...
-
The top riders all ride in the top 2 divisions of Poland and will not give up that money so they will have to choose England or Denmark. The only fixture clashes will be for lesser riders(riders who don't ride in the top 2 divisions in Poland) so Poole would probably have less absentee riders if they move up than staying in the Championship.

Silly question, but how can anyone run the league properly when their are no riders? -

Thanks. -
It’s not just rider availability. Track staff, first aiders, and other volunteers in stadiums also take holidays. If you don’t have enough of those around, you also can’t put on a meeting.

Admission is £25 as set by the BSPL. No concessions. That’s why I’ll get the Pirates TV stream at £13.99 which is usually quite well presented. Wonder if the early start at 7.00 will catch some out. -
The BSPA need to pull their finger out and put some tighter rules on doubling up for Poole to consider coming up. Maybe you can't double up in the championship if your average is over 5.00 in the premiership. Also, changing the fixed race nights to add in Wednesday as we no longer have to worry about top riders also riding in Sweden/Denmark leagues. Poole should never be forced into the Premiership. We should have a system where it is attractive to be in the top league (like every other team sport!). If Poole think they will have Will Cairns at number 1 next season with a bunch of national league riders at reserve maybe they will move up so they can have a Jack Holder in the team. If the 2 leagues remain close there is no benefit of moving up. Poole continue to make money, get to the playoffs and have fruitful meetings at the end of the season in the championship while charging the fans £5 less. The Premiership is a risk with no reward at the moment.

Belle Vue - Remaining Fixtures.

we have just the 1 home meeting left which was the postponed fixture yesterday, no new date as been announced as of yet but im hearing 14th September as the potential date for it -
What a ridiculous thought!!! The most baffling thing is meetings don't get run during those best months for decent weather... I can only presume, down to "rider availability"... Yet Guestfest after Guestfest will take place at the start and end of the season, when the weather is generally not great for watching Speedway... Due to "rider availability".. Work that one out?! If Guestfest after Guestfest is (as it clearly must be), their only way of running Speedway in the UK, then at least do it in the best weather to get the crowds to attend!!!

I fancy Scunny over 2 legs against Glasgow, especially, according to the rulebook, Tigers are down to 75% guests for Howarth for the rest of the season, now that the 28 days for a retired rider has expired.

Can anyone tell me how many home fixtures Belle Vue have this season? If you also know the dates that would be great.

Belle Vue v Sheffield 2x Bank Holiday

For anyone that has a spare 1 hour. This is a great watch. Some great interviews and insights -
SCB have concluded their investigation into the incident at Plymouth and confirmed that Bomber did not stamp on Ben Barker (think there is a few apologies needed), and no further action to be taken. "Having gained more video evidence of the incident from a different angle, this clearly shows that at no point did Mr Harris kick or stamp on Mr Barker." Anyway if nothing else it gave some interest to what was mainly a meeting full of 'from the gate' heats

Lightcap and Bailey at reserve 🤣 not a chance that will happen
