Surely if we can get Tarasenko on a 5 then Blobby should get Clegg on a 2.00 after all it's only fair.

Probably waying up the Profit and Loss situation.Would think he’s doing alright financially running in Championship with very good crowds, so why cut your your Profits by stepping up and probably playing to the same size of crowds.Wise decision.IMO.

i think a lot will depend on 3rd Heatleader performances, we have Etheridge, Poole Brennan, Edinburgh Kye Thompson, Glasgow Flint, Oxford Jenkins, Plymouth Newman, Redcar TJ, Scunny MPT. Workington still have 6.32 to play wit hfor final rider.

He said at the time that Championship costs were around 30% cheaper than Premiership. Coupled with fans (and some key sponsors)stating they wanted to go back to the traditional regular Wednesday speedway, it was and still is a no-brainer.

I went and thought it was pretty good meeting. Track looked decently prepared and they got through 44 heats (including support) in under 3.5 hours even with grading. Not sure what expectations are these days at the Australian Championships, but seemed to be a fair crowd there. Sam Ermolenko and David Tapp on commentary, although David Tapp kept committing the cardinal sin of yabbering on rather than giving us the race results...

Few weeks ago I'm sure it said that they had sorted 6 riders out and they had 4. Something to play with for the last spot so I assume the 2nd reserve is a 3pter

Zmarzlik, Laguta, Vaculik, Lindgren and the Pawlicki brothers. Wonder which 2 will sign for Birmingham.

Decent start from Pearson in Aussie championship 7 points. Same as masters and outscored rew, the cook brothers, Tate and bowes junior

Aah so it IS ok to post on other teams' threads then?!

A lot of people now can't afford to attend speedway every week, a couples cost is £50 a meeting, so every few weeks as it is now is more affordable

I would go whatever night, so not all fickle

My thoughts exactly, is all this fuss that Blobby is making (without basis anyway) really worth it over a rider who won't ever amount to an awful lot? Better to go with somebody who might improve I'd have thought.

Yes Mickie is from near Boston and confirmed this morning.

They did. The Winternapolis I think it was called. I went and still have the programme somewhere, although the racing wasn't the best from memory. I think the track was quite damp and a lot of straw had been used to try to soak up the water and make it rideable.

Oxford have something for every fan: If you want to watch some of the top riders in the world pay extra for Premiership racing If you like Speedway & don't care about the level, just watch NL racing If you want to watch racing every week, Oxford have that covered too

Saw these averages posted on the Workington thread: Tobias Thomsen (8.64) Sam Jensen (8.42) Kasper Andersen (8.33) Given Jensen & Andersen have averaged above 4 in tougher Championship seasons, I can see why Poole went for Thomsen.

Spot on. As somebody working in finance, my best estimate for a sponsor would be an equity release firm. Speedway's audience would be perfect for that market.

Sponsorship is a commercial undertaking where the cash investment is expected to produce a revenue benefit. That means that you need the people exposed to the sponsor to buy their products. It's a difficult thing to do with an aged fan base living on their old age pensions and a wider speedway supporter base that is renown for its penny pinching "thriftyness". Are you expecting charitable contributions, or for these companies just to subsidise the fortnightly entertainment of some senior citizens out of the goodness of their hearts?

They haven't managed to attract Coventry and Cradley fans in any significant numbers over an extended period I don't see why this season will be any different They might get some Wolves fans but if the team is losing every/most weeks that won't last long

Buster about to get humbled by Alex Brady for £35,000 looks like he'll have to renegotiate with AEPG for another £35,000 in hush money.

Good luck to Alex, I hope he gets every penny of the £35,000 owed to him.

Says who? Yours is one of those posts that spreads the sort of fake news that turns people like Lefty off from going to Birmingham for the speedway.
