I always hoped when the asset system disappeared, it would be easier for Brits to get team places? You could spend a lot of money flying an Aussie over, or spend time & effort sorting out a visa for a European, they can be poor meaning a waste of time or good & leave to go to another club. In theory the likes of Alfie Bowtell, Ben Morley, Danyon Hume (when fit) should get team spots every year? It wasn't that long ago Dan Thompson started without a Champ team. -

They will need to discuss the new Polish league rider requirements, the rumoured ‘demand’ for an 8 team Premiership , with a doubt over Sheffield and a possible Eastbourne return . The supposed doing away with the NDL ( 😢 ) and then place what’s left in a championship that can be decided by a referees announcement it seems 🤷♂️. -
"Sign Jason Doyle, Win Titles", seems to be the mantra to follow..

Birmingham had to sign riders knowing they would not be riding a full season, and on made up averages to make them look competitive... Since Sky pulled out its been a constant falling off, with doubling up, and Guestfests, becoming the default mechanic to use... There is so little prestige in winning the top tier, both Oxford and Poole decided to ride in the second division, as it more suited their business model.. A sport where you can choose which level to compete in? An interesting concept!!! Over the past few years, five teams seems to have become the maximum that the UK can adequately ensure all are competitive... And as for winning the title? Bald men fighting over a comb just about sums up the last decade or so... With this season being pretty much on par with the others of recent times...

I'm sure a few years back Redcar put an extra £1 or £2 on the admission to pay for an air fence, then once it was paid off, the entrance fees went down, could this be a possibility to make up any shortfall / pay back a SRBF loan? -
This should stop testimonials for the riders though (not benefit meetings). When you are declaring yourself as self employed and the clubs get nothing from you moving to another club, then you should give up your right to a testimonial (surely cannot have it both ways).
