All they have to do is make press & practice day... I wonder if Plymouth still have their spare rider in storage somewhere? Maybe put him on a train and send him up to Northampton just to familiarise the new Northampton fans just what they're getting themselves into 😁

Rules say... A Reduced facility (No Facility in British Development) only, is permitted to replace a rider, who although included in a re-declaration has not made an appearance for that team since being re-declared. however there is another rule that says.... A team may utilise a facility to cover the absence of a rider(s) who has been approved in a teams declared 1-7 at the start of the season but due to extenuating circumstances is not available, a facility may be granted, up to a maximum of 28 days, at the SCB Co-Ordinators discretion. So I guess changes maybe on the cards for Redcar.

According to Mark Lemon in the Speedway Star, the promoters (who and how many not confirmed), and some "outside investors"... Attracting a fanbase to support a team put together by the owners and promoters of some/all (?) of your opponents in the same league could be a bit of a tough sell... If they don't do well some may not be "too surprised" given their opponents put the team together..

No media day this year and now they are ditching the British speedway podcast as well as a cost cutting measure. Apparently due to no tv deal. This is a great shame as it was a very good professional podcast It seems utter madness to not have either to promote our sport. We now have Northampton which is a fantastic boost for the sport but that’s a bigger secret than the Masons. What on earth do those supposedly running the premiership thinking of. We should be looking up to the levels of Poole and Glasgow rather than dumbing down to the levels of Scunthorpe two of the best things to emerge in the last ten years are BSN and Team GB Which shows what can be achieved with competent forward thinking management. -
I wish Northampton well , but it does look a bit of cobbled together by Premiership Promotions to save theirselves.Who is chipping in the cash to get this project up and running though is the question that remains a mystery .

Yes. They will, especially as he is already an established Redcar rider from last season, and a few before that. As opposed to someone who they had just signed from somewhere else. Initially the facility will be for 28 days, but I wouldn't see a problem with that being extended if necessary.
