Don't care what anyone else says on here - for me this afternoon that was indeed13 quid well spent...........Yes some will quibble about food/beer prices but all in all the whole arena, packed as it was, gave me exactly what speedway at its best can do for total enjoyment. Comets are back and it was great !!!!!......... Crowd estimates for me were above 2000..well packed in all available areas....the weather obviously added to the overall experience but roll on the next fixture..UTC.9 points

Not even a racing line that Zmarzlik was taking... Far too narrow up the back straight meaning as soon as he threw the back wheel out he was going to make contact with Doyle.. Amazed Doyle didnt lamp him when he walked back... Bewley and Woffy both had chances to clamp their opponent on the line by coming across him, and didnt do it so got passed up the inside (again)... You dont win all GP's by just gating and going fast when in front... Interesting that when "chaos" was occurring the "veterans" that are always "full gas" ie Doyle and Lindgren come out of it in the best positions because they still go into potential dicey situations full pelt... Zmarzlik is certainly pushing his luck with his own health as for the past couple of years he has trodden a fine line between "genius" and "reckless".. One "unlucky" moment could have serious consequences for him...5 points

He wasn’t in front tho Doyle was, he had more speed coming to the corner having made a longer straight but what’s Doyle supposed to do just turn right shut off and wave him through??? as others have said if it’s the other way round the decision goes the other way every time, zmarzlik gets every decision going it’s a joke5 points

Good to see the Comets back, looks a lovely set up they have got. Best of luck to all involved.5 points

Not for me, Zmarzlik forced a hole that wasn't really big enough for him to get through IMO. Lucky boy to be in the re-run.4 points

No9 has been a problem since 2007. Speedway fans are a fickle bunch on so many levels. Tell them to stand in a place they don’t like standing to get a view doesn’t help. Then the stadium owners build a bus shelter blocking one of the few viewing positions. The opening years people would stand 10 rows thick in front the starting gate unable to see through the tall geezers at the front as the ground is flat. The stadium just isn’t designed for speedway and it erodes away the enjoyment of those first experiences for new fans. I’ve introduced four regulars 14 year olds they do love it. They go to Arthur Terry Four Oaks Sutton Coldfield. There are glimmers of hope. Get some bikes in the school, they must talk about it.4 points

Noticeable that he tried it a few times, however, on such a small track he wasnt able to generate the speed he usually does on the bigger circuits for him to line up his "signature move"... The "bend three dive bomb" where he basically rides his opponents (who lift their leg up out of the way), up the track deep into bend four.. Doyle, Lindgren and Madsen are the three riders who seem to he able to stay strong and prevent him forcing them out... The rest all take evasive action and surrender position... Holder tonight showed some steel of his own, so maybe he too will now be less intimidated..3 points

So if it’s a racing incident, surely common sense would suggest a rider coming from behind, travelling faster and consequently riding into the side another rider causing him to fall off then the rider that coming from behind has knocked him off surely! also zmarzlik front wheel was a fair bit off the white line, he could’ve left Doyle more room to turn also…but then the speed he was coming in at he was never gonna be able to hold the inside on the line he was coming in at, so Doyle’s choices were jump out of the way or get knocked off3 points

He's made a career of doing that. Has an incredible knack of always being on an employable average at the end of each season.3 points

Brilliant cup tie that had a bit of everything and went right to the final heat. Pijper winning points from the back, very impressive. If Eurosport showed speedway like this it'd interest me again instead of endless FTG heats and Doyle et al finishing half a lap ahead of the rest. Knowledgable commentators also help enhance the product as they did last night.3 points

I’m sure he’s a good guy and everything but he’s not bringing in the points3 points

Unfortunately Vissing is renowned for being a dirty rider especially from the gate, he did try and take Douglas out when they met but failed3 points

I'd say It's the same competition in the way the Premier League & the Championship are the same, the Elite League and the Premiership are they same and the Conference & National leagues are they same? The names may have changed but nothing else - apart from a 3 team final one-off final, which never happened, a 3 team final 3 legged event, which never happened. So now it's back to two teams for the final, it's virtually the same as the premier trophy, Championship shield, summer trophy etc3 points

Toft is a world beater when he rides for visiting teams at Scunny, put him in a Scunny race jacket very ordinary rider.2 points

The biggest Homer referee of all time. Zmarzlik should have been excluded. Race should have been awarded. Holder and Doyle both robbed. Referee lost his bottle The speedway world is intimidated by Poland. When they say jump the rest of speedway says how high!2 points

Think you'll find Mark builds the teams but obviously Garry does have a big input. But if you think Plymouth would be better with Matt as team manager you are delusional2 points

There’s nothing better than seeing your team win away from home, you don’t have to apologise for celebrating, most clubs just got no atmosphere these days, the happy clappers.2 points

That competition you are bumping your gums about , can even remember who won it , was supposed to finish with a three team tournament at Sheffield. So when that got changed the three teams had more important matters to settle at the end of the season . Anyway back to last night , that was a terrific meeting and maybe we did go over the top celebrating at the end , but winning away from home is always brilliant2 points
