Just been to Workington for the first time since it was the little training track, what a superb race track, imo best this country has, great little set up there too with great viewing and close to the seafront too what’s not to love6 points

Ref tucking into his chips there and not watching heat 4. One of the most obvious decisions there to exclude mcgurk and excludes Killeen.5 points

I think Poole have shown they can carry "passengers". Look the strongest team so far with 6 riders going well. Also racing Plymouth (with their strong reserves) isn't the best time to judge Max Perry.4 points

I think you are mis understanding my point. Of course pharmacists offer advice. For example if someone comes in for OTC cough medicine, we ask if they are on any other medication. Its not that we are being nosey, we are being responsible as cough and cold remedies tend to affect the potency of other medication, particularly heart, blood thinners and respiratory medications (but not exclusively). If someone discloses they are on such a medication we legally cannot sell them it as we know it could cause harm. If a Dr prescribes it then thats different (although to be honest we would often give them a quick phone call to check too - thats a pharmacists job). That is totally different from someone riding speedway asking about banned medications but personally I would be more concerned at someone buying medication from a supermarket that a pharmacist has flagged as a possible problem than basically saying 'oh well I'll just go to a supermarket'. I mean these check out girls know as much as people who have done 4/5 years study and exams followed by regular professional monitoring....4 points

I would like to think Redcar have more sense than to sign Garrity! No one is that desperate surely3 points

Or Plymouth complained against the IRR ruling at Berwick & were told it was legal. So naturally used it themselves when it was needed.3 points

I think they’ve seen what Steve Lawson has done for Bewley and working with him may turn him into a Bewley 2.0 (the kid is going to be world class no doubt), and that he has pretty much unlimited track access for practice etc has a lot to do with it, plus why wouldn’t you it’s a superb place.2 points

Although he may have been rude this comment shows that you're a bit of a prat. Judging the whole of the comets fans off one person is just ridiculous2 points

We made a long weekend of it, came up Thursday stayed on a campsite in Silloth, came to track today, currently camped in the pits for the night, heading back tomorrow2 points

I'm pleased for Gilkes & delighted to see a Brit with a team place. But honestly don't feel it strengthens Redcar at all. Like-for-like change for me.2 points

What utter rubbish. This is a forum to discuss speedway. The fact of whether a meeting is on or not is fair game. Also… I was right.2 points

We have around 7.30 points to replace Tofty. But who can we get?. Oxford are 5 points under the limit. Surly they will strengthen up, and have room for a double change.. Harris or Wright for MPT, or Harris and Wright for Tofty and NKI would do me. In reality, it will probably be Lewi for Tofty, which would still leave us around 2 points under.2 points

I think scaramanga was led on by the Antti-Vuolas brigade, who hoped he wouldn’t stay for long.2 points

Just a big thank you to @racers and royals for all the hard work that's done providing all the info on here. It's much appreciated.2 points

I'd rather finish bottom of the league without Garrity than win the league with Garrity.1 point

Considering Prem clubs are interested, it won't be long til Poland want him in one of their top 2 leagues. So will be surprised if he is in the Champ for more than 2 seasons. Would make the most of it!1 point

Exactly the same reasons he should have come to Leicester to get some PL experience, Stewart Dickson would have taken good care of him, unlimited track time and also a superb place ()1 point

Hmm, not sure MF will like us being compared to Man City, as I think he is a United fan?1 point

Dan Gilkes signs for Redcar. More track time over here should help his scores for Sheffield I'd expect1 point

Absolutely right. It is not selfish to ask for something if the request is reasonable, which this most certainly is. "Selfish" is trying to sqeeze every last pound from your "project" so you can run off with your pockets bulging with cash that has been created out of thin air doing more harm than good. Butterfield will not be using any spades no matter what because he never intended to do that. His aim has always been to blow the price of the land way higher than it should be just so he can get lorry loads of free cash from bodge it and floggit building merchants who follow behind his personal gravy train. These developer leaches who take good agricultural land and up the price of it simply by getting by the planning system with outright vapourware are the main reason house buyers have to pay inflated prices for the houses that are finally built. Costing the time staff would otherwise be sitting on their bottoms because they have to be there anyway and charging housing prices for floor space in buildings that would otherwise be empty is not subsiding anything if it does some good - it might even mean getting an easier ride with the planners and locals! That hard logic is typical of the developer world and the recent very welcome moves across the country that have not just acepted all the vapourware from these selfish moneygrabbers have come as quite a surprise to those who thought they would be given steam rollers to flatten local views in exchange for running off with lorry loads of free cash. Instead of pretending that tens of mates mates pretending they even know where Peterborough is, writing notes of similar pretend "benefits" in the usual silly words Butterfield should maybe take note of the thousand plus real speedway fans from around the world and stop showing what an ignorant nothing he keeps showing us he is by pretending he is somehow doing the people round here a favour by exchanging their useful fully working green spaces for his bank balance. The sooner he takes that silly nervous laughing away the better.1 point

Great to see the meeting is on a Saturday which will maximise travelling support. Also having our three SGP riders in is marvellous1 point

Been down in Plymouth since Tuesday, looking forward to watching the speedway . What is the point of planning anything involving speedway, totally pointless sport. Sick of travelling hundreds of miles to watch a sport, that dose nothing to help itself. Been going on for years and they do nothing at all to try and improve the situation. .1 point

Mark sounds like they are trying to prove to us, the fans, the riders and the wider sport and TV that they can run a GP. I can see that getting there requires a significant investment and therefore the SON tickets are higher than we'd like. But I hope they don't think that this sets a norm for future events. I'm sitting on the first bend at Cardiff this year for £181 point

To be brutally honest Lynn are and have been very successful at Championship level, their crowds support it so I can only assume it’s TV money that keeps them in the Premiership, but running in the top league on a Championship budget is clearly affecting support, supporters want to see a competitive team at least, watching them struggle to even win at home every season isn’t helping anyone.1 point

All scored from reserve as that was the previous version of 'Rising Stars' but the riders stayed at reserve all year and faced 6 fellow reserves and just two second strings in their programmed rides.1 point
