A massive hat tip to the Bandits promotion and to Mr Dickson for getting us out of a sticky situation after it appeared Rory was unable to return. Cook and Kildemand are rivals to any top 2 in the league and in Borke, Hagon and Kemp we have some exciting talent which is sure to improve. An exciting season to look forward to for sure and I for one think this team is the business.8 points

That looks a right entertaining side from Berwick, hopefully they can have a injury free season they deserve a bit of luck.6 points

Terrible signing, I said earlier numbers game is a smokescreen, I think they have made a real mess of this years team, Starke is well past his best, ridiculous to think he is a 5 pointer on a 3 point average. Vinnie is improving and getting better, way better than Starke.5 points

As expected. Didn’t realise he was 3.36. An absolute gift at reserve. He knows bike issues won’t be tolerated and what’s expected of him. He is more a 5-6 pointer. Should make mincemeat of many of the Championship reserves.5 points

I'd argue at this point Berwick need to do what's best for them. You've got Hodder who let's be honest, there was plenty of times where he could've been dropped, but Berwick stayed loyal and kept him in the side, and for what? For him to jump ship to Glasgow the following year. And again, offered Ablitt a place and he's shot them down because it's too far to travel. I don't think Dayle is the best signing. But at the same loyalty goes a long way. If he can score above a two point average and show some commitment to the cause then it's a much better move for them than to have a rider to leave after a year.5 points

You're right, of course. Berwick, having been knee-capped by Rory's late (but fully understandable) decision to retire then go on and sign up a two-time GP Winner and the reigning British U-21 Champion -- and all the (ahem) forum funnies can go on about is sarcasm about the signing of (quite possibly) the best-still-available 2-pointer around.......3 points

Why does nobody want to talk about Kildeman and Hagon.🤔 Maybe nothing too moan about.😂😂😂3 points

Berwick’s biggest challenge in 2025 will be filling the void left by the departing Freddie Hodder.3 points

Daniel Levy at Spurs would love to be bored out of his pants from now until the end of the season and see Spurs finish in the top four... Instead, he will be taken on a rollercoaster of victories and defeats, watching loads of goals, and seeing his team fail to reach the Champions League.. And will be very, very disappointed come May.. As will all the Spurs fans.. Not many will be looking back and saying "wasn't that four three defeat by Chelsea at home a great game?" at the end of the season.. In sport, winning is everything, otherwise, no point in actually doing it... Personally for me, Speedway, (in the UK), given its lack of any major financial gain by winning, almost non existent MSM publicity, and its ludicrous ad hoc team structures, is something I watch as "sports entertainment" rather than something I consider a "bona fide" sporting competition... However, plenty still feel it is "proper competition", and good luck to them, as they are still supporting the sport, and it needs as many as it can find to keep doing so.. Poole know "winning" is key to making a profit, so, quite rightly, they set up their operating model to always be in the mix to win... Perfect sense...3 points

Wood could surprise a few he was a lot faster and controlled last season, finished the season with a higher NDL average than the likes of Harrison, Pijper, Hodder, Spencer and Perry. Also scored 3+1 beating both Mulford and Trigger when guesting for Edinburgh at Redcar. Tike will tell if he can do it consistently at Championship level but I’d say he’s on a par with most of the two pointers signed so far.3 points

Why worry about the track or the racng? The punters are happy... That is what is important... Win at home each week and it keeps them coming.. Seems strange that so many moan about them..3 points

And that’s my point, it was a shocking excuse when they let Vinnie go, I think 99 percent of Poole fans would rather have him in the team rather than Starke? Unless….. the number 7 has a higher average than 2.002 points

to cut out any speculation on the subject Luke was asked at the last meeting of this season if he wanted to return. We felt that a different track would of benefitted him in his progress with oxford ,Leicester or redcar being the preferred options sadly none could fit him in thus leaving him without a space. This was a family decision and was fully discussed with Simon and Rob at Scunthorpe who were both supportive of the decision.2 points

Very happy with the side. Kildermand should love shielfield. Dayle wood seems keen as mustard! That goras a long way. Good luck to the guy2 points

Don't think that would be an issue in the slightest. Should know each well from being Workington teammates 15 years ago 😆2 points

Bit if an arrogant post making assumptions on other people and how often seen him. Seen him plenty as I'm sure have many others. I'm happy to be proven wrong and if he goes on to be the best 2 pointer around best of luck to him. But I wouldn't have wanted him in my team2 points

David Kujawa turned up with just a helmet and had 3 last's in his only meeting. He was the world u21 Champ only 3 years before. They don't get much worse than that signing2 points

Having watched Loram, Rickardsson, Holder and Ward around Wimborne road, I'm sure a lot of us do2 points

Leverington was far from a bad signing really - I always remember him as a solid middle order rider. I do remember there being a big debate on whether he would be on an assessed 7.00 or 3.00 average though. Glasgow have had way worse signings from overseas ... Mitchel Davey was a far worse signing than Leverington.2 points

That is more to do with the quality of rider. Maybe the riders would prefer it if we made it bumpy again!!2 points

Poole know a winning team gets them a decent following.. They also know that hardly anyone could name the Premiership Champions let alone those the two tiers lower.. Therefore. Why lay out £100k more to maybe be lower in the table and reduce crowd numbers? An excellent business model for Poole...2 points

Was quite optimistic about him after watching him in the SON, but that optimism didn't last long. He seemed scared to race other riders round Glasgow, think he'd be equally terrified of Berwick2 points

Good rider but would come with a lot of baggage. From memory think he scored a maximum at Armadale guesting for Monarchs.1 point

I've heard a rumour nick Morris for the Monarchs, suspension cut can comeback 1st April, personally can't see it but it's British speedway so who knows?1 point

1. Ben Trigger 8.71 2. 4.20 3. Sonny Springer 5.60 4. Vinnie Foord 6.29 5. Max James 7.20 6. Jamie Etherington 3.00 7. Ryan Ingram 3.00 A very youthful team (despite someone on another thread calling them a 'win at all costs team') who would walk the league.1 point

Are speedway attendances released? I heard your cleaning staff are still finding our empty bottles of champagne at Wimborne Road from when we swaggered down to Dorset fourteen months ago, won the league and paraded the trophy around your stadium.1 point

Yes, I think it's a risk, but I guess you could argue those riders have the biggest potential to improve their average, meaning if the others just deliver even what they managed last year, that's a very good position to be in. We'll see what happens. Personally, I don't think the Glasgow team is obviously stronger than anyone else we've seen so far, and it's hard to judge until the other teams are complete. I'm liking that quite a few teams have had a bit of a shakeup, so plenty opportunity for things to pan out differently next year.1 point

Kildemand is a great signing, if the year was 2010. Oxford need to tempt Laguta over, this team is going to fail massively without Artem's big scores.1 point

Apologies for being abrupt but ask yourself why this is happening and you might be closer to the answer! As a dad who’s son has raced for 5 years in NJL for one team and has done thousands of miles guesting for other teams you simply don’t understand how it works pal, turn up and hope to get a ride on a track that is knackered and you are rushed on and off to get it done before curfew then supporters normally are not even bothered to stay and watch, plus you don’t get any help with expenses from most clubs, it’s something you are aware of too being with but lots of parents look at it all and are now saying thanks but definitely no thanks1 point
