No need to be nasty about Craig who despite his problems has given a lot to British speedway over the years10 points

If Redcar manage to win this they will have done magnificently To have 2 riders not there whose replacements are much weaker and to be this close is huge Kerr and Starke doing well for Poole …. Lawson should be sacked for this performance5 points

It’s Shovlar…. Spins the same line for how many years now? R/R makes Poole stronger and Voulas for Riss weakens Redcar If Poole win let’s all wait for the prat to say ‘it’s against the odds’4 points

To be fair he is a Berwick fan who is clearly passionate about his club. Turning up most weeks with your number 1 missing for whatever reason must have been frustrating .4 points

His interview on BSN spoke volumes. He seems a little shell shocked that he isn’t scoring better. Perhaps he thought every meeting would be like his Pirates debut. A lot of hype around him…in one sense justified…in others it’s still very early days. Time will tell. For what it’s worth, there’s another young man who I believe is a better prospect. Likes the colours orange and black and also tassels! 😉 At least the future of British speedway looks very bright with the two of them doing their thing.3 points

Omg How have Poole choked v a weak Redcar side crippled by injuries..gor to be the shock of the season3 points

Yeah, Vuolas H14 win potentially messes up his own team. See how the season turns out if that is the case. Oh well done Redcar btw, good meeting. Not sure about us choosing 2+4 though when you need a 5-1 in last heat though 🤷♀️3 points

Lots of negative stuff you can say about Brum speedway, one of them isn’t paying riders. Nigel has always ensured funds available for that.3 points

think it was more edwards not wanting to return to brum. he didnt want to be there anyway. he would have knows ipswich needed an RS so for a selfish point of view why not want to go where a team will have more matches, a team that will pay on time and a team that can win gold, it was a no brainer for jason3 points

Congratulations again to the promotion… twice in a week. Shame he couldn’t be in for this weekend, but good news nonetheless. Thank god CC111 has been shown the door. Hopefully that was his last chance in speedway.3 points

Not on day one, there is no magic wand overnight fix though, Speedway has been run into the ground over the course of the last 40 years, it's going to take time to rebuild.3 points

Rode bloody well for 4pts. Four crucial third places. Well done Joe Thompson.3 points

-and lawson only got 4 points riding in higher league should he be sacked also cairns been getting zero in higher league do you actually know anything about speedway you been watching a team thats always been strong so when there slightly above average you cant handle it3 points

Good job you got one with Vuolas helping Redcar go above you in the table lol.2 points

We did get the bonus, that thing you were celebrating as though you had won the league2 points

Given the Bears guests contributed only 7 points it’s very surprising that the Bears won. Couple of uncharacteristic rides from Lawson early on and an ef for a Kerr obviously crucial factors but we deserve a bit of luck going our way for a change. Well done to Ace, more of that please. Loss of Riss will more than likely scupper Bears season still but nice to beat Poole for once. Decent enough meeting with a few good races and came across well on BSN.2 points

I hope he's done all his growing, he's turned into quite a large lad all of a sudden2 points

Blaming Kerr lol… Lawson 3 points from his first 3 rides cost Poole plus Cairns struggling Well done Redcar with Riss and Mulford replacements only getting 7 between them a great back to the walls performance2 points

As a Poole win would assist Workington's play off aspirations I would have to question the efforts of Redcar's guests tonight. What a sport! 🫣2 points

I agree with most of what you've posted above... with the exception of fixed race nights. It's only getting worse with Poland, Anders Rowe missing for Poole at Redcar tonight, which they Poland have no right to make him "be available", he's not even named in their team at the moment. Poland also tried to run on our KO Cup dates. It doesn't matter what format of Speedway you put out if the fans aren't available to attend, you only have to look at the PL crowds at a reasonably successful Leicester on a Thursday compared to their CL crowds on a Saturday. Belle Vue, reigning champs, woeful crowds on a Monday night. Lowly Plymouth, crowds up on a Saturday night.2 points

Unreliable yes, but I bet he's missed less meetings than Nick Morris over the last two years! 😆2 points

Had Brum announced Hagon as an injury rep for Edwards, then when fit Edwards would have to had returned to the line up whether he wanted to or not, either that or ask to come off the Rising Star list! As soon as he was fit, he then became an eligible RS as he wasn't in anyone's declared 1-7 Jason is a smashing lad and I wish him nothing but the best2 points

How many did he score at Lynn? He would be at reserve if it wasn't for Sedgman struggling more. As soon as he has one bad meeting certain people jump on it every time whether it is for Poole or not.2 points

Good luck Nick Morris 👍 he was really good last time he rode for Berwick.2 points

It’s not really agree to disagree. You said the events are for Polish TV, he’s pointed out they’re not even on Polish TV…2 points

Without checking averages, availablity, or if an improvement etc, some riders without Premiership teams, Scott Nichols, Nick Morris, Connor Mountain, Steve Worrall, Declan or Zaine Kennedy, Kye Thomson, Cameron Heaps, Mitch McDiarmid, William Cairns, Fraser Bowes. I'm sure I've missed a few.2 points

If they don't win it this year they might drop down a league again.....2 points

Costs? If Edwards has double the average then it won't be far off double the money surely? Let's face it, Birmingham's season ended the moment it declared its team, so no point throwing any more money at it... Tolley has spent enough flogging the dead horse and keeping Birmingham going, so whatever he doesnt spend between now and season end no one can surely begrudge...2 points

You mean Tatum's inane ramblings? I think I would rather listen to Jan any day over the ex public schoolboy2 points

Nope! Myself and some other shareholders in the club are asking our promoters the exact same question!2 points

Saturday may be “poor planning” and a “guest fest” but I’m still going to pay my money and sit in the same seat I always do and watch live speedway. It’s not ideal it’s not even close to perfect. It’s what we’ve got. I’d rather be there and watch it than not. I could be way worse, we could all be Birmingham fans or one of the other many now gone clubs. But that’s a different discussion for a different thread. I’m looking forward to two exciting meetings.2 points

Full marks to Drew Kemp, choosing club over country on Saturday night. He really has been a superb signing by Berwick.2 points

Instead of speculation perhaps the authorities should canvas those riders who are prepared to commit to riding in the UK first and foremost and calculate how many riders are available to ride every week on a race night that suits a UK club, not Poland or any other European league fixture list. Reward those riders who are willing to make a go of it in the UK by guaranteeing x number of meetings based on the commitment to ride. On the basis of the foregoing, determine the make up of teams, be it five, six or seven riders per team. Then look at whether it works on one home and away or two home and away or a mix with 4TT plus league racing. Also have a Season long individual UK championship with rounds held at every track and a grand finale at say Bellevue one year then Glasgow the Poole etc, share it around. The idea is build for the future on what you know you have not the uncertainty that prevails today where it is a case of finger in the air and hope. True speedway followers will be happy with competitive racing week in week out, others who crave the worlds top riders will follow them through the many individual tournaments be it a GP or Euro championship or Poland where in the case of the latter money seems no object when it comes to enticing the top riders. Speedway UK cannot compete with any European racing partly because of Brexit but also it races on a night when riders can earn some pocket money here because no other league is daft enough to pick Monday as a race night and I suspect that most who ride in Poland etc do not keep the best equipment in the UK so you are probably not seeing the riders at their most competitive. Unfortunately all those on here who could make up a committee that could give some direction and work with the promoters to get the sport back to where it should be would be largely ignored yet they are the same people who week in week out put money into the clubs by crossing the threshold of the turnstiles and helping keep the sport going. A message to those in charge, engage with your punters.1 point

DUCTAIR BULLS NARROW THE GAP AT TOP OF MDL WITH WIN OVER BUFFALOES AND TAKE THE BONUS It’s tight at the top of the Midland Development League as the Birmingham DUCTAIR Bulls narrowed the gap to 2 points win a win over the Birmingham SUPPORTERS CLUB Buffaloes. At it stands with just two fixtures remaining the WOLVES are in the driving seat with the clash between them and the Bulls next Monday going to be decisive. The Buffaloes were hit by the loss of Max Broadhurst with the lack of availability of a guest unfortunately seeing them having to use rider replacement to cover his rides . Skipper Eli Meadows though was in rampant form with a 4 ride 12 point maximum but with Will Boraston having his first rides back after his arm injury and not scoring plus Jake Breeze adding 2 points the battle of the Birmingham sides went to the Bulls 14-22 . Overall the Bulls also snatched the bonus point to put themselves two points behind the Wolves with a narrow 36-35 overall scoreline. For the Bulls skipper Bailey Fellows was forced out of the clash with engine problems after one ride but his team mates did their bit and achieved the win. Joe Crewe dropped just one point to Eli Meadows to score 8 from 3 outings. Brother Jack had a solid night with 6 and 3 bonus from four outings whilst Jacob Fellows notched 7 +2 from his 4 rides. SUPPORTERS CLUB Buffaloes 14 ( Eli Meadows 4r 12 max, Jake Breeze 4r 2, Will Boraston 4r 0) DUCTAIR Bulls 22 ( Joe Crewe 3r 8, Jacob Fellows 4r 7+2, Jack Crewe 4r 6+3 , Bailey Fellows 1r 1+1) In the support 125cc demos Oscar Berwick had three wins in the A group whilst Roman Ratcliffe made his comeback but his shoulder was still sore and he with drew after one ride. In the B Group AJ Bence won all three of his rides , newcomer Cody Smith had 5 points and Lilly Bence 4.
