Enjoyable competetive meeting tonight with some top racing. Heats 7 and 14 very influential for the Comets. The Tigers turned what looked like a 3-3 into a 5-1 in heat 7 and what looked like a certain 1-5 in heat 14 into a 2-4 with a great last turn from Leon Flint although we thought Jye still pipped him but the transponder didn't agree. Well done both teams for some excellent entertainment.6 points

Just got back home after a fantastic meeting at Glasgow the comets made the tiggers ride hard for the win 😄 some brilliant racing by both sides, not many teams will take Glasgow to a last heat decider at ashfield. The bonus point is on a knife edge UTC4 points

Don’t think this ref likes Kerr, he’s been excluded twice and done nothing wrong in either of them3 points

Good result for Speedway fans, 2 Current GP Riders, 1 Former GP Rider who should've been in this year anyway plus Kacper Woryna. Now it's down to the organisers to bring back Emil and Artem. No more Huckenbeck and Kvech as they're nowhere near GP level riders.3 points

In your opinion, which will probably be shared by others, but the technology dragging the sport kicking and screaming into the 21st century says otherwise.3 points

That tonight was a cracking meeting well done to both teams on serving that up .3 points

Was great to see Tom Spencer escape injury after some nasty crashes. When he flew over the fence somehow he miraculously got up and ran back to the pits to come out for the rerun. He's got sum b*lls!2 points

Not so sure it'll be a walk as Glasgow have only scored over 50 against the 2 teams fighting for the wooden spoon this season, while so far we've done well away one rider having an off night could be the decider over 2 legs. Villads has been a great signing so far but he's never seen Poole or Edinburgh so he's a bit of an unkown.2 points

Despite the disappointment of throwing that away tonight, you have got to hand it to Ben Barker, that was an incredible performance tonight, which rubbed off on the rest of the team , well done Ben Barker2 points

@Neila Warning ⚠️ Warning ⚠️ I'm gonna av a flat white to celebrate the aggregate bonus point that secures our play off place! Kermits 🐸 remind me where u r in the league? 😂 😂 @Neila2 points

Oh dear poor pilots pulled a defeat out of the jaws of victory 😁 well done Plymouth, don't suppose @lbw will be having a celebratory flat white, but I can see @lewy running round the coliseum celebrating in his clown suit 😄2 points

Barker riding through the pain barrier wanted the win so badly, fair play to him, that was some effort2 points

What an embarrassment this Poole team are. Plymouth show more fight and deserved the win2 points

Hi Gavin, give it a rest mate. Your obsession with Poole is not only weird but the fact you think thst they always gain advantages from other teams. I don't understand why.2 points
-
They do,if you can find the link just go along the bar at the bottom to where you want to watch from, yes some good racing although the result was sorted before last 4 heats2 points

He is only insulting when he opens his mouth to speak, cant stand the bloke.2 points

If he does I hope he gets a 28 day ban, but it seems like the authorities don't care anymore.2 points

Good point, noticed Villads still listed as 5.00 in last nights programme, not sure how many meetings he needs to get a proper average but if we could go down the airport burger route and keep him as a 5.00 for 2026 that would be smashing.2 points

Straight 20 heats Edit there could well be a final for the top 4 just for the GP classification for the GP 2026. confirmed is a final and will be a run-off if tie for 4th after 20 heats2 points

While speedway does have a major enemy in planners and ultimately money it also is its own enemy, you can’t even get them to answer the phone or return emails when you need information to take to these planners2 points

As an extra bonus for anyone going to the speedway this evening, the famous Red arrows are due to fly over around 18.27 - 18.32 😄2 points

Berwick had the opportunity to swap either rider for Trigger. I would've brought him in for Smith.2 points

I agree not getting that 3rd heat leader in the side was crucial, R/R does not work seen it in the last two home matches and only kept in it by the two superstars wright and king riding their nuts off.2 points

I agree but the point Ian made was that they don't even show you it during a race if they can avoid it, even a rider sliding off innocuously they immediately cut away. It's frustrating when the commentator is talking about it but you can't see it, I suppose it's just another example of the nanny state we live in these days. Like everyone else I don't want to see any rider injured but crashes and falls are part & parcel of the sport we love, yet they are removed from our view. edit; there's not many more violent sports than boxing, soon they'll be cutting away when someone gets decked.2 points

Great meeting both teams fought for every point Well done worky . Always a pleasure visiting Glasgow , great people and a fantastic race circuit .2 points

What a surprise. I agree. Ban him for the rest of the season.2 points

Lol, don't waste your time mate... I emailed them twice asking which regulation Workington breached that got them a 2 league point deduction, as it's normally stated in their press release, never received a reply!1 point

Villads gets his average next Saturday v Oxford, KO cup doesn't count1 point

We have the same with Luke Harrison, young riders just learning their trade. They have good rides as a reserve and get bumped up into the main body of the team and struggle . It happens far to often and the newcomers need some sort of protection at this level.1 point

PK,DK,JJ and NM would be a good start of Teambuilding for next season.1 point

Yes it was, they showed it on BSN, brilliant race, four abreast going into the 2nd lap, plenty of trust being shown by all riders.1 point
-
Why though? When you're at a meeting you don't start looking into the distance in the opposite direction, you want to see if the rider(s) are okay or maybe even watch some handbags unfold. I can understand cutting away if it becomes obvious that a rider is in distress, nobody wants to see that, but BSN instantly cut away every time a rider goes down and there's no need for it, they're quite happy to show Scott Nicholls season ending crash in their opening credits.1 point

It caught Dolyley out a few weeks ago one heat we was leading very comfortably - hit that bit and his lead almost vanished!1 point

Why is the Oxford track always so slick and dusty? It seems to me the water truck is woefully inadequate in putting enough water down at a time. a Scunthorpe sized water truck would be much more effective in my opinion. I know they are limited to when they can have access to the track but with a better water truck the track could be soaked far earlier1 point
