That's crap , don't let 2 people put you of doing what you obviously love there's more of us on here who really appreciate the time and effort the volunteers do texting and updating hope you enjoyed your visit to Berwick 2 or 3 weeks ago.8 points

I know Bewley hasn’t been brilliant tonight but can’t be leaving him out in a big heat like that.5 points

It seems to have been for weeks now that only I am available on a Saturday night to update nowadays which I would have done tonight but after been treated pathetically by 2 certain individuals on the site who I actually considered as friends before the incident. I've now given up volunteering to update after over 20 years of doing it.5 points

But you won't be travelling up to watch them, so does not matter when it is 😜4 points

We have no restrictions when we race. Both Clubs have to agree to a date that suits both , lets see what happens first before wanting to claim a two legged tie after one leg ffs.4 points

Nagel was unavailable today but that didn't stop Glasgow. Next free Friday is 3rd October. Not sure they will let Glasgow put it off for a month for a semi final. Be different if it was a final. I guess if they can't organise a fixture we'll just have to be put through after one leg. We do it for Oxford.4 points

Nagel won heat 15 and scored paid 12 for pila today. Talented boy3 points

I would put Bewley into 14. He's not had the best night, but he is capable of beating Dudek in a big heat. Kowalski is not.3 points

Just registered my support for Swindon Speedway! Good luck! Moreover, I read some of the comments that object and there are some right tools in this world aren’t there 😂 someone wrote, the practise sessions will be loud and noise pollution, hmmm when did England have practise sessions 😂 someone else wrote the travellers site will be impacted… are we actually putting travellers before locals who want to see speedway… they are travellers… they can 1. Travel somewhere else. 2. Choose to live in a house and stop avoiding council tax. These must be the same numptys that say if you are against immigration you are racist 😂3 points

So after 4 seasons as a Director & Shareholder that's my time with Birmingham Speedway at an end. An eventful, at times stressful, at times farcical and at times enjoyable experience! A huge thanks to the small but loyal Brummie fanbase that put up with season after season of under performing teams, you deserved better! Full credit and my upmost respect to Nigel Tolley, he wasn't far short with the figures he quoted in the recent speedway star interview with what he invested in the club (there was also a six figure investment from other shareholders during the period I must add). Nigel is as mad as a (top) hatter, but I really like the guy. My only criticism of him (and he knows this, I told him enough times) is that he allowed himself to be influenced by others who failed to deliver for the club! Seeing the day to day finances and operations of the a Championship and then Premiership club is a real eye opener, so a massive thanks to Financial Director Tracey Smith, who somehow managed to juggle the finances to keep everyone happy (most of the time) a truly lovely lady, she has been the glue in a massively disjointed operation, which would have fallen apart without her. Some priceless moments over the 4 years on the management zoom meetings / race nights - I could write a book! You also learn a lot about riders, some smashing chaps around Paco Castagna (legend) Freddie Lindgren, Tobi M, Leon Flint, Sam Hagon, Jason Edwards, Thompson twins all really good guys! No comment about some mind Made some great friends, I will miss Guesty, Dave Rowe, Pete & Dan Ballinger, Chris Adams, the guys and girls from the supporters club and fellow shareholders Steven, Jake and Vic. Such a shame that Birmingham Speedway is no more, but without Nigel it wouldn't have got into 2023 let alone 2025 and for that alone he deserves the respect of those who knock him! Give us a B.....! I copy and pasted what was suggested, I onto read the comments from others and left it at that. Foxhall isn’t that bad and I live 1 km away from the track and they operate many weekends, outside in the garden yes it can be heard but the speedway isn’t half as loud as 20 cars at the same time. People just don’t like change and that’s fact, same as when people say happy for people to come to the country, then ask them to take one in their house and it’s a closed subject.2 points

One of the problems to be overcome is that the application is not just for a speedway track that might operate, say, 20 times a year, for a couple of hours - it's for a motorsport park with speedway and karting, and as far as I can see, no information about the potential hours of operation is in the application. On that basis, and to be fair to the locals, the noise may well be an irritant. I don't think some of the responses on open forums are putting speedway in a good light. I think we'd do well as a community to focus on responding to the application using the template provided, and refain from being abusive to people who hold a different view. Beat them with planning arguments, not abuse.2 points

It’s Lublin who don’t have the money to continue to pay the riders too. I’ve posted before that the Polish cities give money to speedway / football and Lublin football is doing better so is getting a bigger split and Lublin were never going to keep spending crazy money every year (much like Man city). Kubera is leaving for more money at Falubaz and to be out of Zmarzlik’s shadow. Holder leaving for Gorzow, if they stay up! - this is almost a swap for Vaculik who was on big money in Gorzow but they didn’t offer him another contract the same money so he looked elsewhere. Przyjemski is highly likely going back to his home club Bydgoszcz. Also remember rules are looking to change for 2026 in Polish Zuzel for that both juniors do not have to be Polish but you must have 4 Polish riders in total, so everyone is moving clubs to suit the rules.2 points

You can ride on any night you can arrange just not clash with Premier nights of Monday & Thursday. Redcar regularly have to ride on off nights and have used Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays to fit fixtures in and have raced regularly AWAY on their home race night of Fridays , like Scunthorpe , or the fixtures would never get completed .1 point

I agree it’s quite amusing reading those comments. One poster even submitted three on one day! The one referring to the travellers made me chuckle – you can bet your bottom dollar if they were to pitch up anywhere near their home, they would be up in arms. So being concerned for their wellbeing is laughable. To my knowledge, there have been no submissions from any residents on that permanent site, which is very close to the proposed development, but plenty from people who live over three miles away. By submitting your comments, using the SNS template as a basis, we ensure that the planners focus on the planning process rather than these incorrect but all valid local people’s concerns. That’s all we as a speedway community can do.1 point

I've texted updates from a few meetings at Berwick this season and I offered to do this one weeks ago. When it's a televised meeting nobody texts, but someone updates from the televised feed. This week nobody came forward to update, so even if I did text from the meeting it wouldn't have appeared on Speedway Updates1 point

I think it will be the same again with a few minor changes and the Premiership trying to get a couple of teams to move up.1 point

Sheffeild are 9 race points ahead. Its impossible that Ipswich and Sheffield finish on the same league points and the same race points.1 point

Spot on, Honesty is the best policy. Ipswich haven't been right since they lost to a King's Lynn side that featured Simon Lambert in the 1-5. The team riding order is a mess which is making things worse now imo. Dan Thompson having to ride at No.4 due to Danny King who needs protecting at No.2 is a tough ask on the young lad who clearly isn't 100% fit. Then Doyle has to switch to No.3 to protect Thompson as Brennan is too hit and miss which then breaks up the Emil/Doyle partnership in Heat 13.1 point

What about Northampton ? 🤣 Struggling to find enough support for the ever decreasing number of clubs today. You ould have thought that with the closure of Coventry , Cradley Heath and Wolverhampton that htere woudl be bumper crowds at the one remaining midlands track? Oh no speedway supporters area fickle lot ( and I include myself in that group) Never really could transfer my support bewteen clubs in he London area. As I posted on another thread, the only solution is to close the whole lot down , wind up BSPL Ltd and start again.1 point
