  1. Sadly, these kind of meetings show how little the competitions mean in the eyes of the promoters... Why run such meetings knowing FIM meetings are taking place? By definition the riders missing will be the "better ones" too.... If an independent body existed then this meeting wouldn't have happened or RR would have been the only facility... If the riders qualify then there will be even more clashes .. The UK has to stop "making up Speedway" as it does it no favours... There will be, I am sure, promoters out there wondering again how the local ice hockey team can get double their crowds.. And a if a track needs to bring in an overseas rider due to not having enough UK riders of the required level, then that is squarely down to their lack of focus on UK rider development over the past few decades... The vicious circle will continue unless UK rider development becomes the No1 priority for tier two in particular.... You need fans to take the sport seriously if you want it to be successful... I presume those who run it as a hobby don't feel the need to run it that way...

  2. More passes in the first seven heats tonight than in the whole of last season at Wimborne Road.

  3. We need more races like this! (It's insane to go and try and punch someone who has a crash helmet on however1)

  4. Great race and great confrontation! Didn't see a huge amount wrong with Howarth's move, it was hard but didn't look dirty from that angle.

  7. Problem is after the issues all winter with trying to cobble together a top league Belle Vue have had poor early crowd numbers and that's with having two of the most exciting riders on the planet and one of the best tracks in the country. Hopefully we will have some big news from Harry soon with maybe Linda cutting the tape at the KO cup final.

  8. I think the Foxes can be satisfied with their start, two decent scores away from home and several riders performing above the expectations of many.

  9. Can see Ipswich struggling this year . Not that it matters in the sport these days. Packed their team with average riders , decent scorers if it’s their day . Would find it hard to be entertained by them. No big hitters. As it’s about entertainment at the end of the day, hats off to Lemon. Kurtz and Bewley as two of the most exciting raiders in the world provide that home and away. The Aces fans are thankful for that . Other clubs and their supporters should be too . Never mind what the rest of Belle Vue team is like. These two more than make up for anything else . Who cares who wins the honours?? Just enjoying the racing is what matters imo

  10. Hagon was decent value. King was the difference tonight, he hasnt ridden Ashfield that well in years. I'd suggest our KOC ends tomorrow.

  11. Good to see Danny King riding well. Showing all his experience. Also rode well at BV on Monday.

  12. Older sounding guy on the stream is woeful, doesn’t seem to know what’s going on or who exactly Glasgow is racing, Plymouth Devils apparently and he keeps talking over the other guy. Thoroughly enjoying the racing though. Might watch a few heats on mute to see if that improves things.

  16. Funny how he’s laid claim on Brennan being an “Ace” and wants his club to take credit for him, or any other rider that has ridden for them, developing well 🙄 If anyone can legitimately take credit for that it’s Eastbourne.

  17. I think the current new version of the App basically wont work on a Smart TV as the old version had for the last few yrs as the Web browsers on the TVs cant run with the new version or summit, basically their messed it up for the people who used to watch it thru their Web browser on a smart tv, like been said they should of left it as it was if it was gonna cause this much bother for people, or at least role it out when it was fit for purpose and suited everyone however they preferred to watch it, some people may prefer to cast/mirror it from a phone/tablet or hdmi it via a laptop or whatever, but for the older generation its beyond them especially my parents anyway, it was pretty much hassle free the last few seasons since BSN started viewing it via the web browser on a smart tv, so much for progress😐

  22. That incident was awful to see .Dugard had all the time in the world to calm down during the long walk back to the pits. A genuine case of "like father like son"

  23. That's what makes it okay though... something like Mr Dugards attack of Stefan Anderson though, all those years ago, was not pretty to watch!

  27. Was a good meeting to watch and I'd say this is perhaps the best race track in the UK. It wasn't just fastest bike wins, there was a very quick line around the inside as well as it wide surpasses NSS for me. As I expected Morris and Lambert did well, Hagon was better than I though he'd be and Howarth as ever is all action.

  28. At least they know they won't be taken out by Howarth being in the same team. 😉

  31. Astonishes me how many riders encounter bike troubles. Three heats, two riders (Lambert and Pedersen) on zero points due to bike issues. Pedersen - who has been outstanding - didn’t leave the start line in heat fourteen last week. I’m by no means a mechanical subject matter expert, but is it too much to ask a fairly non-complex motorbike to last sixty seconds?😂

  33. Total lack of track awareness by Tungate there on first lap turn 3 cost Częstochowa a possible 5-1

  39. If jack is unable to ride Dayle would have been an obvious choice of guest but he is obviously busy. Maybe Max Perry? He did very well on his last two outings at Shielfield.

  40. Flint has been flying so far and would score more than Nick, especially at Ashfield, Nick seems to start meetings slow and then gets the pints that he should, a little like KJP who tends to have a poor first ride, then gets the set ups for his following rides

  42. From Bandits' media briefing -- regarding Saturday night's meeting -- this morning: There is a doubt over reserve Jack Smith who is recovering after being involved in a major crash along with former Bandits Rider of the Year Connor Coles at Buxton on Sunday. If he is unable to ride then Berwick will call up a guest replacement.

  46. You miss one obvious fact When 16 - 17 year old British lads turn up with the sponsored van festooned in Stickers, 3 CL Class bikes festooned in Stickers, dad and mom and 10 relatives all wanting free tickets and a couple of PL level mechanics and wanting more a point than most CL teams pay an experienced second string plus bonuses and all other sorts, then actually keen potentially progressive early 20's European riders who are here to race and learn can overall be a far more economical option. Then when these 16-17 year olds do anything remotely notwworthy they feck off to one of the "big clubs". That's after they have signed for your NDL team at 15, only agreeing because you promise them a CL place if they perform well, and when they do, they still feck off to another CL Team, then its not hard to wonder why some young british riders who think the Sport has the money it had 20 years ago are quite simply pricing themselves out of the market.
