  1. If anything Coleman has been ultra measured in his public comments... He knows the sport is a sh*tshow in the UK, but has been very diplomatic in his views on it... Whilst still making it clear what he really feels of how the sport is ran... He comes across as someone well versed in using political diplomacy to achieve his aims... Nice to see someone in the sport of this level..

  2. I don't think you sign Fricke if there is 'zero ambition'. Castagna and Cook are the main issues at present along with the track surface, and I suspect there's a culture of everybody turning up on a Monday/Thursday evening and hoping it'll all come together. The whole thing definitely needs some fresh impetus.

  3. You’re very unlikely to get a single point from Nicholls there. It’s one thing scoring double figures on a piddly little track like Plymouth in the Championship, it’s another entirely when you visit a track where you need pace in the top flight. IF we visit the NSS again this year in the play offs, he won’t score a point then either. You’re also going to get next to nothing from Nicholls, Lawson and Bangs combined there. The result is a thumping as expected. Take your point though, the scale of the defeat was probably a bit more than hoped. It was never going to be anything else. The likes of TTT suddenly have it in for the new owners, which I don’t understand personally. They came in at the end of February so this season was always going to be a write off. If you’re ever going to have a “write off” Season, then this abomination of a season is the perfect time to have it! By all accounts speaking to those that have had dealings with him (Arch on here for one) Coleman strikes an impressive figure and has big plans ahead for the club. People need to get off his back and stop the cry arsing a few months in to his reign. It’s a bit embarrassing to be honest.

  4. Probably because the GP series they took over was losing money and required stabilising first to put it back on an even keel

  5. Coleman admitted it was backs to the wall putting a team together and asked supporters to “stick with us” through this year and judge them in ‘27. You agreed with that at the start of the season but have given up that thinking after three and a half months! Doyle made himself unavailable, it was only after Mark Lemon was asking all the GP riders if they could do a stint here to replace Bewley last week that they found out Doyle would be open to it. As for Jeppesen, I wouldn’t have had him over Bangs before a wheel was turned. I was quite excited at the Bangs signing and thought it was a coup! We know things haven’t worked out so far and he’s been a massive disappointment. I’ve called for a change there myself on another thread, as much for the fella’s benefit as much as ours. He doesn’t look in a good place at the moment and something is not right there because he’s blatantly a far better rider than he’s showed. BUT, Coleman seems to have the riders’ backs and seems to want to support them as much as possible we know that from the insurance issue. Maybe his preferred strategy is to help and support the riders who are struggling and try and get them through a sticky patch rather than bin them off after a few months of the season? I find that difficult to criticise to be honest. Ultimately his hand may be forced if the natives become restless and it starts affecting the attendance but we’ll have to wait and see. We also have to remember, that we were told at the meet the riders event that it was Andrew Chisholm who would be in charge of the day to day running of the club and in charge of all team matters, along with input from Paul Hurry. Coleman is a busy man and to his credit, has turned up at Foxhall far more than I expected. I’ve seen him in all but one meeting so far. I just think it’s all a bit nuts to start judging and criticising them after three and half months especially when we have a cup final next month. We could quite easily walk away from this “write off” season with a piece of silverware! The Leicester track should be far more to our liking than the NSS that’s for certain.

  6. Coleman has actually said very little! The most vocal he’s been has been his public support for the riders over the insurance fiasco, and good on him for that.

  7. As soon they said there is more clay in it my head dropped, no wonder tracks are getting worse and cannot cope with the weather, but of course shale costs money and clay is much cheaper, never mind the fact the actual track is your biggest asset. As others have said, the racing here is not as good as it used to be, Lynn used to have quite a reputation for being one of the best tracks in the Country.

  8. Not sure I agree with “there’s no chance Ipswich or Leicester should be above this Kings Lynn septet” comment. I always thought there was very little between the three of them. All three have weaknesses in different areas of the team. From an Ipswich perspective, we’ve made a cup final and sit in a play off place with our senior reserve contributing next to nothing. Bangs was supposed to be our “trump card” at reserve, he’s been anything but. If he’d scored what was originally hoped, or we’d signed our initial target (Thorssell) we’d have been challengers. Lynn always had issues for me. Despite the fanfare around Rushen, he’s still only 16 and was/will have slumps this year. The high average of Fricke left a big problem with a 1-5 rider who Lynn were always going to have to carry, and the biggest mistake of all was re-signing Cook. Everybody saw his “commitment” previously, why on earth would anyone think “yeah we’ll have some more of that”? Poor signing. Lynn, Ipswich and Leicester all look a similar standard to me. Leicester possibly slightly the better of the three as it stands.

  9. There was indeed that's a fair point he was a different breed that fella major smashes all the time and yet like the terminator he just kept coming but I do think for 99% of the time you need to avoid the big dings I think Holder snr could have had 2-3 world titles but he had two really bad crashes plus Darcy Ward crash even now he's still a great rider but he lost that extra 5% the top 1-2% really top tier have.

  11. One of the better meetings I’ve seen at KL in the last three years. Leicester deserved winners. As for the abomination of the presentation/introduction of the riders to the crowd, jeez, it’s something that grinds my gears, why does it have to be so unprofessional? Leicester riders being introduced to the crowd while KL riders start their bikes up and get on the track. And while we’re at it, when will referees be consistent in enforcing the no riding on the centre green (or in Lynn’s case centre concrete) rule? The BSPL could have made a fortune from fines last night.

  16. The track has never been the same since they changed the shale to the current clay surface, the racing used to be so much better.

  17. It’s great that a fan who puts a few video’s up on you tube has done more than the FIM,Mayfield Sports and WBD combined have done and put on to you tube the SGP 3 final video. Hopefully the powers that be won’t claim copyright and get it taken down. Enjoy !!! https://youtu.be/wOuJNWOIhoU?si=zPmedqmMAyblE7gp

  20. It's not the fact Cook isn't interested. This is always such a misconception. He just doesn't have the technical ability to ride a track that isn't massive and like a road. It's that simple.

  25. Did they know what was needed? Did they want it to change? No one knows Lawson passed in 12 to record a zero Danny 1 point from 14 and 15 after 10 from 4 A point swing was enough to keep Lawson from No1 and 2 points for Danny Even using Tom in 15 and he ran the last would've seen a change

  26. Agreed. They've tried to make it an 'event' but not bothered to actually do anything that makes it interesting. We watched one last year at Wroclaw, and while it was OK, it just felt like a glorified practice followed by a race. I'm not completely against the concept, but at least make it something worthwhile, if you're going to do it at all. It's also too early in the day, so it's not like you can keep yourself entertained around the stadium until the GP starts. Not really worth a tram/taxi/walk there and back for 60 seconds of action.

  28. Personally didn't think the side looked to bad on paper a genuine number 1 two out of three of the best british youngsters currently out there , yes Castanga weak but I think its down to the other three riders being inconsistent.

  31. I don't think it can be about the rider's anymore. King's Lynn fans have had this for years now no matter who the rider's are. Excuses from the management team are never ending as to reasons of failure but nothing ever gets done & the same septet is rolled out the following week. "There isn't the rider's available", "nobody want to come" blah blah blah. Yet, in the next breath, another team finds someone as replacement from somewhere, somehow. Year in year out, excuse after excuse but King's Lynn fans just sup this s#!t up like an ice lolly from Bonny Blue's dingy tw@ after 1000 gimps have washed around in it. Let that sink in 🤢🤮

  32. They can’t drop Tom to number 3, the highest average rider has to ride at number 1

  33. Lynn just looked so uncomfortable on their own track tonight, no idea why its loaded with so much dirt when only one rider can get round properly. Leicester looked like the home team. Cook not interested in the slightest on the second bend of heat 14, you can understand why folk think he's taking the P when you see his scores for Leszno. Season effectively over as we ain't winning at BV, Sheffield or Leicester.

  36. Does anyone with Lawson? I just think it gives King an easy 3pts there which Nicholls could cover - heat 14 often has a tactical change or added pressure, maybe that's what they're trying to avoid.

  37. He's done his time and that should be the end of it. Garrity was a talented rider and thrilling to watch. I'd have no problem with him racing for the Foxes. If racing helps him stay on the straight and narrow, everybody benefits.

  45. I think that is the issue. People attribute great power to Facebook. But not everyone has an account, not everyone looks regularly and FB can be fickle about what it does and does not show users. A working and reliable website would be a start.

  46. The club should of shown more faith in a young rider ,One they know what he's capable of and who has just came back from injury. Why should fans be annoyed at Jenkins its not like he deliberately tried not to score points . As for hindsight replacing a rider we brought in on a 6.15 average , who granted was underperforming and replacing with a journeyman rider on a 4.60 average is laughable as your trying to replace a second string with nothing more than an established reserve . The change was pointless ,We should of waited seen if jenkins form picked up or at least waited till someone better was available .

  47. It's always Poland. Some wags on here have said Sheffield is a dangerous track, but for many a year there has been an endless stream of premier riders returning from Poland with season-ending injuries. Is it really worth it?
