Come off it mate. Kvech had the corner, Doyle has just sent it and hoped for the best, made contact with Kvech and he’s came down. Pretty sure if you were in Kvech’s position there you’d have done the exact same thing.

That was clearly Doyle fault, yet Olly Allen tries to blame the other rider. He’s done that a few times, either poor eyesight or as you say he’s biased.

Glasgow deserve to lose this picking Kemp to ride at number 1. A pathetic rider with a piss poor attitude.

He isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I love him and he’ll always be my favourite speedway rider. Charisma, personality to burn, controversial, outspoken…everything speedway needs and is sadly lacking in the Grand Prix at the moment. His absence in the current series is a huge void they will struggle to fill. Most important of all though, he was bloody quick on a speedway bike and is our greatest ever rider. While I’m gutted I’ll never see him race again, I’m happy he has retired safe and sound and on his own terms. His body has cried enough and he at least seems at peace with his decision. He can now spend time with his wonderful family and make a name for himself on the DJ scene. Thanks for the memories Tai, we’re going to miss you. ❤️

I thought it was an decent meeting, I would certainly sooner watch a meeting from this track than Ipswich, Northampton, Sheffield, Oxford, Plymouth or Poole. It was not a dust a bowl, neither was it over watered, you saw clean passes after the 1st/2nd bend on both the inside and the outside throughout the meeting.

It's because Paulco, who normally did it, got fed up with peope with multiple user names posting rubbish he got fedup with the forum and doesn't even look at it now

So who would be better? Always laughable when I read about certain riders shouldn’t be in the Grand Prix when clearly and by some way they are the ones of the best 15 riders in the world…. Fair play Thomsen, brilliant ride. BZ too concerned about Lambert, luckily for him m it wasn't Kurtz round the outside. Lambert will be disappointed but he looked properly world class this evening and is starting to develop some consistency. And he picked Zmarzlik off twice.

Always divided opinion off the track, but an outstanding speedway rider. Was thrilled when he became a Wolves asset in 2006 and one of my favourite memories will always be the 2009 play off final win against Swindon, which both Tai and his dad (despite being seriously ill by that time) played a huge role in. Absolutely the right decision though. Tai had nothing left to prove.

Seriously who's going to watch a football match on TV, when you could go to speedway: to see, hear, smell, feel the shale on your face, and enjoy the banter. No contest in my mind!

I think I’m at the point with speedway now where I don’t care about home advantage. I think the best possible track prep for overtaking should be undertaken for each race. I would rather see multiple overtakes and great racing than gate and go and the home team wins. If you are a good enough team you should be able to win on whatever track if it’s prepared correctly and for racing.

Tremendous level of sour grapes there, kudos To say there was no passing is nonsense Heat 4, Thomson gets third on the line almost second Heat 6 Grahn and Foord passed and repassed Heat 9 Paco on Allen Heat 10 Dan on Allen heat 14 Edwards on Cluff, Paco on Scott Heat 15 all 4 riders changed position at one point or another With a few other exciting enough races thrown in with Klindt buzzing about Thompson in 13 amongst them I’m not saying Armadale is gonna be confused with Belle Vue or Bydgoszcz anytime soon but to say there was no passing is laughably wrong.

All this talk from the Ipswich promotion about 2027 being ‘the’ season makes me smile. The sport is on crutches in the UK and hobbles slower each year into the next season. If the Witches can assemble a decent team I hope for all of us that they are competing in a league that has some credibility.

Pedersen clipped Hagon’s rear wheel and went head first into the fence coming out the second bend in an almost identical incident to the one that ended Darcy Ward’s career. I honestly thought “he’s done”. The way he hit that fence and the pace, the way he lay motionless, it looked horrific. An older lady next to us was a bit upset. Cluff was last, so this happened right in front of him and if he didn’t see it then, he certainly did when - for some bizarre reason - he did a lap of honour and passed Pedersen as he lay motionless on the ground. He then stopped his bike on the fourth bend and proceeded to gesture towards the Monarchs fans while the rest of the stadium remained silence. The place erupted in boos. A morally corrupt short, buck-toothed imbecile without an ounce of decency. Well deserved win for the Monarchs. Thompson and Thomson were incredible, but that left a horrible feeling I’ve never associated with speedway. Incredible to see Pedersen up.

I'm not denying what you've said, but also think Kvech laid it down. You see riders make contact all the time without falling, so I don't think contact should automatically mean an exclusion for the non-faller. I'm not saying the ref was definitely wrong, just that it's not a stone wall decision imo

Rename it Dirt Track. Many who say " What's Speedway?" would have a good idea what Dirt Track is.

A fantastic rider, who had a stellar career... I am sure whatever he does next will be a success at given his incredible drive, resilience, dedication and desire... Maybe the BSP could get him involved in promoting the sport in the UK?.. He is still the one rider many outside of Speedway in the UK will have heard of and could recognise.. And is still young enough to connect with a younger demographic... The greatest British rider ever?... I think his three World Titles cements that accolade.... Good luck to him...

In the mid 80's and early 90's Lynn's track hosted brilliant racing even though mid 80's we had some truly horrible sides, but now it seems a lot of people think its dire.

Not a classic meeting. Armadale still has people beat before they arrive unfortunately. Edinburgh will never change it for that reason alone. Another factor is that the majority of the fans would rather see a skelping than a close entertaining meeting. Attendance relates directly with success. we’ll see this tonight at Ashfield, big crowd will be through as they will smell blood.

Richard Coleman seems to have pretty much the same thoughts on the sport as many of us on here... However, the challenge I would suggest will be that the clear and obvious issues facing the sport are, in the main, all self inflicted, and delivered by their own design and often done to "fix" the problems that previous decisions have created, (and this ironically then often compounds the initial problem!).... The challenge he faces is that the promoters must all know what is needed for the sport to move forwards, (as it is all pretty clear and obvious), however, the very fact they know this, yet have never shown one iota of enthusiasm in changing anything, shows that "moving the sport forwards" is simply not on the agenda for many... In short.. Many are quite happy with their lot, with few actually running their tracks to make profits, but, instead, it gives them an affordable hobby to enjoy.. "Moving the sport forwards" will mean unpicking so much of what has been done, and also bring greater scrutiny and accountability, neither of which too many promoters will be pushing for I would think, hence "moving it forwards" hasn't been focused on for, at least, a couple of decades.. There are many promoters like Buster who, year in, year out, put their hands into deep pockets and shell out several hundred thousands to their riders, to keep the sport running in the UK... That is the sum of their ambitions...

Nicholls for Team Manager in 2027 is something that should happen as long as he wants the job. Hurry has to go regardless, Musielak not being picked for Heat 15 may have cost Ipswich 4th Place (Not that it matters this year) but his rant on Stewart Dickson was pathetic imo, Better Team Won and it was that simple. Coleman has put his balls on the line with his choice of words in regards to 2027, He's left himself with no choice but to deliver a GP Rider @ No.1 or a certain Russian who's GP calibre along with six other riders that can compete for the title. If the Team is a let down then he'll have nowhere to hide as he's got everyone's hopes and expectations up, We'll just have to wait until the winter to see what happens on this front though.

The very same. We were regulars at Eastbourne and the children (16+20 now) were introduced to speedway in a carrycot. Week in , week out even in the NL days. We would go and watch speedway when they raced away at Lakeside and took them to Rye House when the opportunity allowed. Now with demise of Eastbourne (rinsed by Ian Jordan) and no Lakeside there is no speedway close to us in Greater London / Surrey. So we have had a trip to Oxford and a trip to Norfolk last year and watched a meeting at Kings Lynn + Ipswich but with no league racing on tv - HBO/TNT/BT it is now just a case of checking results on the BSN app + watching races on twitter. Our speedway fix now is the SGP series on TV, my daughter returns from University for each SGP and we watch it as a family. That's it !! The sport is in Cardiac arrest !!

I truly have never seen any business or entity commit so much Harikiri on itself as Speedway in the UK has done, particularly over the past 20 years as the digital age has boomed.. Year after year they have made poor decisions which have just compounded the poor decisions from the previous years... Normally a business would fix its issues, even more so when they are so glaring and obvious, and their customers either tell them publicly, or tell them by no longer attending, but still closely following the sport.. I truly would love to know what the promoters vision for the sport is, and where they aspire to take it... As all it currently looks like is this... "Make it to the end of this season, do exactly the same thing next, then rinse and repeat ad infinitum"...
