I’d say it’s almost impossible to leave out King as well. The head says it’s not sensible after a fantastic season if you want to build a title winning team, his average is once again at the awkward stage. But the heart says he deserves his place if he wants it which I’m sure he will. Musielak has been great, but King is rider of the year for me. Much maligned by a section of the fan base, but he’s piped them right down this year. Woryna Musielak King +4 Would have loved to have seen Woryna on that track last night by the way, that would have been, interesting! Edit: I’d fit Ellis back in as well for his Foxhall scoring alone. Great interview from him last night where he spoke of Ipswich being his “Speedway home” in the UK and he loves coming back here every time. He’s a fantastic character as well and great for team spirit in the pits. Woryna Musielak King Ellis +3 We’re getting there 😁5 points

I agree, The luxury is over for Glasgow and Poole as they've now got a choice of PREM racing or being asset stripped. The Polish rule is a blessing in disguise for the PREM Clubs and the Swedish Clubs have done Britain another favour with the tyre fiasco. Been a terrible League this year but next year has the potential to be the best British League we've had in a while.3 points

Team building plans for 2027 whatever the league format, whatever the team limit, whatever his average should be: Tobi Musielak + 6 other. Absolutely class again tonight and just great entertainment.3 points

Smederna looses and it feels really stupid but expected. They have had mediocre starts all season but still managed to salvage wins, but against Artem and Bastian it was punished. Also a reminder that that the finals will be available to watch world wide on SVT play (Swedish equivalent of BBC).2 points

Have to be a bit careful and respectful as I was in a very privileged position a few weeks back thanks to someone on here so all I’ll say is Doyle is “desperate to come back next year”, but the angle I took was that he’s plan B if others moves don’t come to fruition. He’s not the type to sit around waiting for a place as we know. There’s no shortage of ambition I can tell you that, so we’ll have to wait and see what is delivered.2 points

Depends what rider's want. Even if they sign in Poland, they may still prefer the Championship over the Premiership due to the number of fixtures and weekend fixtures if they're not picked by their Polish club. The Premiership won't get it all their own way for sure.2 points

Brennan really shouldn't have signed for Bydgoszcz with the team they had tbh. When it comes to young Brits in Poland, They should sign for the teams with the weakest line-ups as it'll increase the chances of starts.2 points

I hope the big boys in the PREM remember what happened last winter when the CHAMP Clubs got too big for their boots. Time for some sweet revenge this winter. CHAMP won't even have riders like Leon Flint and Dan Thompson in it let alone Josh Pickering and Zach Cook.2 points

I absolutely agree that the prices at belle Vue are good. I just think this needs to be reflected at other venues. When you turn 18 at Sheffield you go from paying £5 to £25. Students also only get a £2 discount there. I just think we're losing lots of younger fans from ages 18-25.2 points

British speedway has been rather lucky with the Swedish tyre rule, new Polish ruling and Mayfield at Ipswich simultaneously. If we get a higher level of riders it will initially increase the crowd numbers. We need to maintain those numbers! So, the presentation needs to be much improved. We need better introductions to the meetings and more interest in the grading breaks to keep people coming back. Discussions with Plymouth and Poole who have increased their attendances recently would be useful. Student/young person pricing, better social media or generally local advertisement. This could be great for British speedway but we need good advertisement and presentation to go with it!2 points

Has been letting us down for the past two months but wants to continue to let us down instead of us getting a guest. If you’re injured as much as you say you are, don’t ride then use it as the excuse.2 points

If Premier Sports got British, Polish and Swedish speedway then I wouldn't mind paying £10 - £15 per month.1 point

Mayfield could do worse than try & bring Emil back. Failing that Musielak & Brennan from this year plus a return for Rew & 4 new Mayfield signings. Woryna seems to be the name in the frame so him plus one youngster with Wroclaw connections leaves 2 reserves to find. In the past I have given King some stick especially in 2024 however this year he has been fantastic. I do think his average will rule him out of Ipswichs plans next year.1 point

Best meeting of the season by far with plenty of passing. Lawson and Pickering had a real ding dong battle in Heat 13 which Lawson just couldn't make stick. Killeen look fast (which was a more than I can about our rising star who looks to have no confidence at Foxhall) if a little unsteady at times and done well to remount after his fall. The racing did not seem rushed but still finished at a decent time. Love watching Tobi hang of the bike and was flying again. I feared the worst in heat 14 but Tom and Kevin done good. Lovely touch by the Sheffield riders to go and thank their fans for their support. And a nice touch by the promotion to give season ticket holders a free programme albeit 3 weeks old.1 point

Would've matter if he continued to score zero as we couldn't make any changes and as his average is low then, even if he quit , there is very little options for a guest, therefore it was better to see if he could get out of the slump he was in. Hopefully he has now turned a corner.1 point

Just watched this back, good to see Lawson looking happy in the pits and seemingly getting on very well with general manager Andrew Chisholm. IF there was any issue there, certainly looks like it’s been resolved. Was on the parade truck also.1 point

I’d be VERY surprised if Bewley ended up at Ipswich next year. Things could change of course, but as it stands that one is highly unlikely.1 point

He’s already explained this and it’s exactly the same reason why Doyle eventually gave up waiting also! He/They simply couldn’t wait any longer so planned their season elsewhere. Mayfield didn’t buy Ipswich officially until end of February and they couldn’t offer contracts to riders until the ink was dry on a contract themselves.1 point

I don't understand what you are basing these wild claims on. Pickering will be off come what may (he only signed for Scunny because he priced himself out of a place in Poland) Zack Cook will drop the Championship as part of his natural progression like dozens of other riders have done before ( e.g. Ben Cook, Tom Brennan) Dan Thompson has a real decision to make: does he want to watch speedway in Lodz or ride speedway in Edinburgh? If the latter as Lisa suggests then we haven't lost him. Masters/Lawson/Flint/Jeppesen/Wright etc ride in tier 3 so are not affected I hardly think King, Batchelor and Harris et al are going to resume their Polish careers Nor do I see the likes of Etheridge, Edwards or Sedgmen attracting Ekstraliga interest. So the sum total of riders at risk appears to be: Anders Rowe (and possibly Dan Thompson). Isn't the bigger risk that riders may drop the Premiership to protect Swedish or Danish contracts?1 point

More chance of extra terrestrial tv than normal tv. If it was that good they'd be queuing up.1 point

The petition will get people from all over the country/ Europe or Australia signing it, but I think the original intention was to see who would regularly attend. So may have many thousands of signatures but only hundreds may turn up. So could be a pointless exercise1 point

Refusal to put British Speedway first for start. Roles will be reversed from last winter, PREM Clubs will be the one's holding all the cards now to a point where CHAMP Clubs are the ones with a lot to lose. CHAMP is finished now, Heat Leaders will be offski with the Polish ruling and to make matters even worse for them, Kildemand and Nicholls are retiring as well.1 point

If Ellis regards Ipswich as his speedway home why did he jump ship this year. Its more than likely its his speedway home when he's looking for a place next year.1 point

Why don't people put their names to these statements? and why do you even need a petition, speak to spedeworth and pay the man all the money up front like he's (rightly) insisting on and your in business.1 point

Most rising stars have an average over 3 so a 40 point limit for a 1-7 would work out as yet another drop and make it tough to fit in any extra top riders, should they choose our league.1 point

I hope to see him back, King has been fantastic this season but he's got no chance of maintaining his GSA next season in what will be a tougher League due to the Swedish situation. I'd try and get this if it's possible (No idea on Team Building Limit so it's just a rough idea of a Top 5) 1. J. Doyle 2. A. Ellis 3. T. Musielak 4. T. Brennan 5. K. Woryna1 point

Something tells me we’re going to see a much better league generally, teams and team strengths. Onwards and upwards.1 point

Excellent meeting. Plenty of passing, best of the season by far and all done in 85 minutes. Sheffield were up for it and Everyone knew they were in a fight and gave it their all. Everyone that is apart from Edwards who was shocking. Throttling off before he even got to the bend.1 point

Seems a strange statement to make.Is he not letting the club down riding with a debilitating injury .Cant see Stuart Dickson being over the moon.1 point

Won't need the back straight open as the crowd won't be much more than a normal Sheffield crowd, many people now won't travel due to costs and can watch on BSN 😄1 point
-
No disrespect to the Meetings being discussed, but neither would get too many Aces fans to attend if they held either at the NSS.. Poole and Glasgow are the two tracks with the largest support in tier two so surdely it would make sense to use those tracks for any joint event.. Glasgow also having four other tier two tracks "not too far" away which could bring a few of their fans to the meeting... The bottom line is these meetings don't carry that much prestige or financial rewards anymore, which will always mean they won't engage too many to travel from a wider distance, especially given the cost of fuel these days, (and on a Wednesday when the kids had gone back to school!)...1 point

Dog rubbish on the centre green brought speedway back to Cradley Heath ! Local Cradley football team "The Lukes " had Dudley Wood Stadium for their home ground in the '50s but regularly had to complain to the owners about the mess. . When one player slipped and fell on it and broke his leg it was the last straw. The team withdrew. With just one sport, - dogs - the stadium didn't pay: it needed 2 sports to be viable, so speedway was brought back in 1960 (after a one-off trial mtg in '59.) https://speedwaychampions.yolasite.com/ https://www.speedway-sa.com/1 point

The insistence of clinging on to a dated team concept doesn't help, nor does the fact you pretty much only get 15 minutes of 'product' for your money means speedway isn't moving with the times. Give me at least 40 minutes racing for my money. Make it serious or make it irrelevant, but don't dress up irrelevant as a serious sport. I don't think banger racing is a particularly serious sport, it's designed to be accessible to competitors and fun and value for money for them and spectators. That's the main difference between the two. Banger racers also pay to race, unlike speedway where riders all expect to be paid. This is something speedway will have to get its head around if it is going to survive.1 point

SCB have concluded their investigation into the incident at Plymouth and confirmed that Bomber did not stamp on Ben Barker (think there is a few apologies needed), and no further action to be taken. "Having gained more video evidence of the incident from a different angle, this clearly shows that at no point did Mr Harris kick or stamp on Mr Barker." Anyway if nothing else it gave some interest to what was mainly a meeting full of 'from the gate' heats1 point

straight up fight between us and Denmark now, lets hope the new TV deal pays alot and we get a league sponsor and maybe, just maybe we can outbid Denmark, but sadly if im honest, i think Denmark will beat us to them. but any small hope is hope at least1 point
