Never really understood those who want speedway fixtures previewed days before on clubs websites. Meetings will be mentioned or counted down to on the socials (where most people look nowadays) but just like football, cricket or rugby why would there need to be a match preview any further out than the day before? Or team declarations until the day if need be, just like those other sports.

I'm sure we would but I'm also sure the club has a budget. -

And I believe we turned to Pickering once Ipswich outbid us for Doyle. So I've heard anyway. -

I can remember two or three very good meetings for BV and Lynn there, like many away heat leaders though over the years he has had nights at Poole where he's struggled. He's mega inconsistent this year but you would always want your own 1-7 riding if possible. -

Buster's stock car stuff from Lynn. Thankfully they don't seem to pile it on at P'boro like at Lynn because it's not good at all for racing if there is too much of it. -

There might be a few new riders around if Polish rules are relaxed but not that many so can't see wholesale changes. Kerr and TJ need moving on, would keep Pickering, Thomas, Lawson and Iversen if he wants to ride here and is allowed. Jury out on Worrall, not sure he's done enough really; Edwards as number 8. I think things would be quite different with Iversen and Thomas but you're never going to win things with the inconsistent and to be honest frustrating three named above. -

Just an hour for us! Roads back to Fakenham a doddle once we got off the estate. Great evening, preferable to a hiding on telly anyway -

To be fair the racing Henka and Mark Loram provided in the early nineties was bloody good, perhaps not NSS standard but much, much better than the carp at Lynn nowadays. Put proper shale on it and it could be very good again. A bit if perspective tonight, as Rob says Sheffield weren't much better last week and we have massively missed Niels since he disappeared, would have been much closer tonight with him present. But the Kildermand/Puk thing has been a cock up and from looking a good side in the cup matches we look a poor one now. Kerr and Jorgensen need to be moved on for next season, no ifs or buts. All a bit depressing really. A shame after a good start to the season. -

Howarth didn't ride at Glasgow in Saturday due to Covid so is presumably still unavailable. I'm not usually one for doing down my teams chances but we are in for a clattering tonight I fear. -

Panthers riding Monday. -
He's definitely got at least one world title in him if he can gate a bit better and miost importantly be a bit more dominant on track, I feel he sometimes lacks a bit of self belief and ends up riding a bit defensively. I'd say as things stand he looks more likely (through seeing the GPs and going by Polish scores) to do it than Bewley but he has that extra development and experience in comparison. Hopefully they can both win some, depends very much who else is around when they hit their prime
-
Absolutely, I don't necessarily agree with him missing GB stuff or British Finals but if he wants to just do Extraliga and GP's and spend time with his family in between I can't begrudge him that, having become a parent four years ago and having a seasonal job myself I know that every moment with your little ones is precious at that age. I wouldn't be surprised if Lambert and Bewley are the SoN pairing (thought they might be last year before Tai fell) because I think we can all agree Woffy is well past his best now.
-
Presumably this is with regard to him trying to slow UO to get Lawson into third? Can't say I'm a fan of slowing races down like that unless it's trying to keep a team mate ahead ie team riding. Should add a bit of spice to the next Scottish derby anyway.

I thought it was quite obvious last night that BV and Wolves have very little chance of winning the thing, they looked disinterested at times.
-
First two meetings this season were on much slicker tracks and guess what.....the racing was really good. That was April though, come the warmer weather they load the track with our horrible clay/shale and water it well to keep the dust down and riders can't get near each other. Like last night. Doesn't make you want to spend £20 to get in next time really.

I'll be watching as my team is racing but mainly because it's at BV where meetings are nearly always entertaining.
