Poole didn't have to sign him, knowing he would 100% miss meetings... No one held a gun to their head.. Lodz are at Ostrow on August 13th, the same day as Belle Vue are due at Northampton, so I don't know what happens then.

What "should" happen is that the UK has priority... However, as we know, Poland can be "very persuasive"...😳

There were a few Thursday fixture clashes last season and Phil Morris had to have talks with them to try and get them to change it. Or we do have priority and they ignore it

old bob at herne bay
I have to ask whehter the young lad is taking on too much far too soon in his career ? He's just turned 16 and seems to have gone into major league speedway with both boots, racing in both Poland and 2 English leagues. Coupled with all the silly U18 U19 U21 championships now held in every country he will be totally overwhlemed with bookings. Expecting an awful lot of the youg lad, and I just hope and pray that he doesnt competley exhasust himself both physically and mentally in his first season of serious competitive racing. Neila Posted yesterday at 11:22 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 11:22 AM @LisaColettethanks for the info 😜 all I can say looking forward to seeing how he handles Edinburgh this year, as looked a total novice last time he was there. Also did not say anything about the shenanigans at the end of season 😜

Im getting to the stage where I say ban the riders who take the piss out of british speedway! To be fair, the Promoters are quite content to schedule in meetings, fully knowing riders will be missing, therefore it isn't really the riders fault clashes happen... Given the lack of UK rider development, over the past two decades or so in particular, and the impact of Brexit and Visa changes, every club needs to use every rider available... And.... It "kind of works", given the lack of any major prestige or financial return on winning any of the competitions, means clubs have to make do and mend, and adapt accordingly... Clubs want to put Speedway meetings on, and riders want to earn money, with guesting being a perfect solution for both, hence the operating model is the way it is...
