Hi All,   Could anyone tell me if there were any Oxford Spires/Chargers metal Badges produced.    Thanks.

Last season, 2025, all 3 Oxford teams had badges produced. Nothing seen at the track this year, or on earlier ones since the club returned. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. Now that i know that there were Chargers & Spires Badges produced, i will try contacting Oxford to see if they have any left.

So Oxford have no Championship matches between July 10th & August 5th, but still have 2 rearranged fixtures to fit in.

I'm surprised clubs take so long to find new dates, it can't be because they are waiting to ensure they have a full team, as they ride most weeks with riders missing anyway?

The fixture situation is a joke, and they wonder why they are losing fans. teams won’t use alternate race nights and only ride with guests when it suits it becoming farcical.

The championship fixtures are crazy.  Oxford have had 7 of their 8 away matches already, Poole have only raced 1 away match.  Surely it wouldnt be difficult to get the spread more even.  To be fair, the premiership fixtures are a lot more even.

I'm hearing that this situation is a big talking point with most of the promotions, apparently they are trying to figure out how to work 1 home 1 away like football, so 2 or 3 home fixtures a month for next season

It could still be difficult for Fri/Sat tracks if they sign riders with overseas commitments - League, SGP or whatever. Especially with new rider restrictions due to come in in Poland and already some riders calling for 2 home/2 away in the domestic leagues.

Chris Harris want 4home/4away to make it pay.😂👍

Whàt an amazing concept....

I wonder if they could get someone from NASA involved to work out such a system..??:D

No idea why it just doesn't happen now...

Clubs who race on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, sign riders who they know will, at some stàge of the season, miss their fixtures due to clashes elsewhere, injuries and sickness, and will then just use Guests, or RR

And trying to plan in when eveyone is there in a sport so injury impacted is pretty much impossible anyway...

Therefore, just plan in the meetings, say every fortnight, and put out two teams of riders using either RR or Guests if not all 14 who should be there can make it..

As, basically, that's whàt ends up happening now after weeks of no meetings anyway...

Oxford to try and run meetings on a Friday, last 2 of this month, after a results from a fans survey. But I wonder if Mr Godfrey will allow this 🤔 as in 2018 he did not allow Workington to do this

The poll was to ask fans about an alternative race-night for re-arranged meetings.

Both are re-arranged meetings. Berwick was postponed in April to enable the BSN Series meeting against Plymouth to take place; Poole was postponed because of the football World Cup.

Wednesdays were proving fruitless, especially since Poole are riding on six successive Wednesdays from next week and they have priority on Wednesdays.

It's clearly allowed in any case. Poole have been riding on a Good Friday ever since they joined the Championship.

Good to see a club doing some market research..

I hope they don't prevent Scunthorpe finding a Guest...:D

Planning to take in Oxford/Scunthorpe on Wednesday, which would be my first visit since racing resumed.

Would welcome any input on parking, food etc from supporters. Thanks in advance.

Park at Unipart, buy your parking ticket when you buy your entry ticket. All info available on the Website

https://oxfordspeedway.club/

If you buy your ticket in advance and the meeting gets called off you can get a refund.

If you buy at the box office on the night there's no refund and tickets only valid for the restaging of that particular meeting, as far as I remember.
