The championship fixtures are crazy. Oxford have had 7 of their 8 away matches already, Poole have only raced 1 away match. Surely it wouldnt be difficult to get the spread more even. To be fair, the premiership fixtures are a lot more even.

I'm hearing that this situation is a big talking point with most of the promotions, apparently they are trying to figure out how to work 1 home 1 away like football, so 2 or 3 home fixtures a month for next season

Especially with new rider restrictions due to come in in Poland and already some riders calling for 2 home/2 away in the domestic leagues. Chris Harris want 4home/4away to make it pay.😂👍

I wonder if they could get someone from NASA involved to work out such a system..?? No idea why it just doesn't happen now... Clubs who race on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, sign riders who they know will, at some stàge of the season, miss their fixtures due to clashes elsewhere, injuries and sickness, and will then just use Guests, or RR And trying to plan in when eveyone is there in a sport so injury impacted is pretty much impossible anyway... Therefore, just plan in the meetings, say every fortnight, and put out two teams of riders using either RR or Guests if not all 14 who should be there can make it.. As, basically, that's whàt ends up happening now after weeks of no meetings anyway...
Neila
Oxford to try and run meetings on a Friday, last 2 of this month, after a results from a fans survey. But I wonder if Mr Godfrey will allow this 🤔 as in 2018 he did not allow Workington to do this

But I wonder if Mr Godfrey will allow this 🤔 as in 2018 he did not allow Workington to do this The poll was to ask fans about an alternative race-night for re-arranged meetings. Both are re-arranged meetings. Berwick was postponed in April to enable the BSN Series meeting against Plymouth to take place; Poole was postponed because of the football World Cup. Wednesdays were proving fruitless, especially since Poole are riding on six successive Wednesdays from next week and they have priority on Wednesdays. It's clearly allowed in any case. Poole have been riding on a Good Friday ever since they joined the Championship.

I hope they don't prevent Scunthorpe finding a Guest...
Colinspeedway
You would think a Friday night would be a good opportunity to make more money on the bar, hopefully they get a delivery in this week...

Fourentee
Planning to take in Oxford/Scunthorpe on Wednesday, which would be my first visit since racing resumed. Would welcome any input on parking, food etc from supporters. Thanks in advance.

All info available on the Website https://oxfordspeedway.club/ If you buy your ticket in advance and the meeting gets called off you can get a refund. If you buy at the box office on the night there's no refund and tickets only valid for the restaging of that particular meeting, as far as I remember. Edited 4 hours ago by Triple.H. Fourentee
Excellent, thank you. Will sort that now. Anyone with suggestions on where to eat locally, please? And is there pits access for supporters either before or after the match? I dragged an Aussie mate to Workington for his first ever speedway match last year. He had such a good chat with fellow countryman Jacob Hook afterwards that now Hook is in business again he wants to get to this fixture! Pit access is from 6 until 6.30pm Parking is free in the street nearby the stadium or £2 unipart pay online when you buy your ticket although not sure if they ever check
