Didn't them in charge a few years back sugest a fans forum type thing, where a fan from each club would take forward comments/suggestions from fellow fans to them in charge, but can't remember if anything happened

It does exist for the Premiership, where one fan per club is part of the Fans Voice group, which meets periodically with Phil Morris.

Some of the reps have gained some traction with their own clubs promoters

There is also a rep on the group who does not represent Premiership clubs, but acts as a rep for feedback from other clubs and defunct clubs. The group that that rep comes from contacted all other clubs and got zero respone. However, they collect views and ideas from fans on the groups Facebook page and submit those monthly or thereabouts to Phil Morris.

At last years AGM Phil presented the document, which had 1600 lines of ideas and comments. Regretably the fedback from AGM was almost non existent.

Ideas have again been summarised and submitted throughout last season, with no feedback at all.

It's difficult to help promoters when they simply wont engage.

Part of me gets this, but as you know most promotions are only breaking even at the very best, look at Plymouth the boss has stated he has lost 350k over 7 years !!!  So if 2H 2A that's potentially more money for the clubs to lose, but if it stays 1H 1A more clubs may stand s chance of breaking even via help from sponsorship

If there was transparency and fans were kept up to date with decisions and the reasons behind them, we wouldn’t need all this speculation. BUT….there’s never been transparency in speedway for some strange reason….

Not sure there is transparency in most sports, it is all about covering their backs and treating us all like mushrooms.

I used to remember when every week speedway was on and if not people used to find other things to do with there cash. Yes I get it costs money to put meetings on but people get out of the habit of attending otherwise. Some teams did not have fixtures for over a month last season.

Disposable income as a percentage of earnings was far higher, 30 years and more, ago..

Lots of "mod cons" today eat away at what used to be available for "going out"..

And, let's be honest, a sport with only 14 teams doesn't resonate too highly when it comes to where you may want to spend any "entertainment pound" you have spare...

Four meetings, per one months salary's disposable income, is too much for many...

Maybe fortnightly would be the sweet spot ..?

What is disposable income though

sounds like putting money down the drain , I see many doing just that though , expensive mobile contracts, Netflix accounts , sky contracts and the dreaded Mac Donald’s Kentucky fried chicken and pizza hut….don’t get me started on red bull and monster 😕

All a lifestyle choice ….where do we go from here

Now back to Speedway will it be Four teams (not really viable ) or five teams which hopefully be the case till we can limp into 2027 when who knows what will happen, probably one League anyway ?

It must be "quite difficult" to spend your disposable income on something you don't even know exists though....;)

Even though it actually does exist in your own town or city..!!

Maybe fixing that situation could help a fair few tracks?...

Trouble is people let’s have more fixtures in school holidays which is all well and good when the weather is good,Families go away for the 2 week break then your losing punters so you can not win.

I never worked for anything less than the going rate and always wanted more and if not bye bye and would not under sell myself ever.

Why not have a ruling that Good Friday is the start of the season which would lose a couple of potentially wet or chilly meetings at the start of the season.

Riders missing due to various World and European Championship meetings can only have a guest replacement for the day of that meeting.

Otherwise you run with RR or an NDL level rider who doesn't ride for any other team.

Riders who are fit enough to ride abroad but not here, such as Ben Cook this year only RR or NDL guest.
