Fair play Northampton, their management is doing a better job than us witches at the moment and I mean that. Good race nights, good team building, taking action on replacing riders when they can. We could learn a thing or two from over there. I really hope Northampton don’t finish bottom! I said Ellis should have replaced Lawson for us, we won’t win anything anyway, so at least give us a good team spirit and get people enjoying coming to Ipswich instead of sitting in the pits next to that moody bastard Lawson.

I get he impression that Mayfield want to go their own way with team building & do something different in 27.

Bringing Ellis back would probably go against that & with. Month of the season left no really worth it if they are going a completely different route.

Makes sense for Northampton Ellis could b in their plans for next year

Be interesting to see what happens with Northampton in 2027 depending on what happens with UK speedway in general , it would appear a decent core crowd of supporters is there which was a big worry pre season.

Flagrag mentioned a party with deep pockets were looking to get involved but didn't in the end if they were now convinced and got 2-3 good riders in and kept Thomson, Iverson, Ellis and the young aussie Mcdiad (or however you spell it) and could add say Anders Thompson, Becker , poss Zack Cook if Belle Vue have to shed riders that would be a good looking side. If they don't get involved its probably going to be more of the same a side making the numbers up but hopefully 10-15% better side than this year minimum.

I'd be adding Adam to the 2027 Ipswich riders list!! I knew he would be good as he rides Foxhall well and he was very on it tonight - the best race of the night was heat 11 Tobi tried everything and almost got past a couple of times but it nice to see Adam come round for a well received lap of honour after his heat 15 win. I'd be happy to see you back at Foxhall in 2027!!

For 2027, and with more time to prepare I team I do expect to see a proper number one at least. Josh Pickering I believe will step up into the no.1 spot somewhere and I believe Bomber will end up ticking off another team to ride for especially with it being local to him.

Without thinking of averages, I’d like to see something like:

1. Josh Pickering
2. Kye Thomson
3. Niels Kristian Iversen
4. Chris Harris
5. Maciej Janowski
6. William Cairns
7. Luke Harrison

Don't think any team is winning the league with NKI and Bomber in there. Way passed their best at the top level now and too inconsistent. As much as they have been class performers over the years, especially Iversen, you won't win the league with both of them in the side.

As middle order rider they’re solid enough. Iversen has been great for Northampton this season also.

Brady Kurtz, if Lemon continues to be club owner. It was looking possible at one stage during the winter.

Think they will try to avoid over-35's and build a younger side, with Aussies featuring strongly

Wouldn't surprise me if a consortium came forward and possibly including Tai as its a great opportunity for him to go into part club ownership and would be able to attract some riders.

I reckon you could see something like

1. Lambert

2. Rowe

3. Pickering

4. Thomson

5. Doyle

6. McDiarmid

7. Harrison

Depending on final averages

Wasnt there someone who was going to get involved, but wanted to see the viability first?..

If so, maybe they will come on board given the venture seems to be a success crowd level wise.....?

Would be great if the old swearer was involved I just think having been on the taking out side of the fence he will know that most promoters are losing money not making it and won't want to squander his career earnings but equally he should have some good sponsor contacts one would have thought.

The cynical side of me is wondering how many free tickets are potentially given out to boost crowd numbers at Noethampton but would be foolish if they need to show the books to a potential buyer

If Tai was part of a consortium I would imagine his financial outlay would be minimal at best but with his contacts and profile perhaps he could be a good shot in the arm on the promotion front

Possibly, if Sheffield sell up or work on a reduced budget then remove Lambert and Pickering with Both Holders as they'll end up somewhere together
