Witches v Aces 14th May

Recommended Posts

Given the Aces away win last nibght this could be a tricky match - my first 'live' of the season (I hope) - Kurtz if he gates will be tough to beat. Key battle at reserves - hopefully a close home win

Nicholls seems to have got things together in the Championship, now need to start seeing some of that translate on a track he knows better than anyone.

To be fair, Foxhall has changed a bit since he rode it regularly. Ironically, I wonder if it's a confidence thing? He's settled into Championship racing, but is feeling a bit stressed in the Prem - not just the expectation of the fans but putting pressure on himself, because the current Witches line-up needs all seven riders to be on it ...

Hopefully, he will get off to a good start in Heat 3 - he definitely needs to beat Cook and Kerr.

He is gating very very well at the moment so fancy he may do quite well on Thursday.

Another typical Foxhall performance from us i fear.

Almost certainly won’t be a thumping like recent years for obvious reasons. The three wins at home so far have been by 10, 4, and 10 again.

We’ll win the majority of home meetings this year, but not by huge margins.

48-42 for me.

He rode for us a boat load of meetings a couple of years back guesting for Doyle long term, he knows Foxhall in its current guise

And he also rode in 2010, the first season after the initial changes. Regardless, it’s a size and shape you’d hope he’d still do relatively well on. He admits himself he no longer has the pace for the bigger tracks, so if he can’t score relatively well around Foxhall then it’s time to call it a day.

Belle Vue will never have a better chance to beat the witches since they did when we had no Doyle and Emil injured

Last season in particular showed how bad riders like Blodorn and Zach Cook and Tate ride Foxhall though all 3 are in better form this season  and Cairns yet to see the place

Definitely much stronger with Kerr than Kildemand though

The top 2 should score well particularly Kurtz as when he was bothered mid season reeled off 3 wins on the bounce …. I doubt we will see the Kurtz that could not be bothered and let his side down hugely in the play offs

Bewley will be his usual 110%

Think this will be close a lot depends on which Kurtz turns up and how well the lower end go especially Cairns

45-45 would not surprise me unless the lower end bring their usual Foxhall form
