Plymouth v Poole 1/08/2026

Recommended Posts

OK I'll take the plunge as nobody from Devon way seems interested in starting the thread.

Plymouth have their usual seven, but with Nicholls now at 1 and King at 5.

Poole have Kyle Newman as Captain and use Luke Harrison as a 75% replacement for Zach Cook, with Dayle Wood stepping in for Fraser Bowes.

Should be another close one with Plymouth having the slight edge as they will want to stop their recent losing streak.

Thoughts? Lewy? Anyone?

Well I have to go with optimism, Pirates win. But have to admit Zac has been doing plenty of the heavy lifting for Poole this season and will be missed, but not as much as he would have missed last night. Wóod has gone well at the Collosium this year 7+3 so should be good value, Harrison hasn't been down there this year but has real quality, so yes I'm feeling optimistic.

Result will depend on how many pilots riders are looking at their average for next season, looking at some of the scores from last night 😜 like the rocket man

Lawson was having trouble with both bikes as he did for Brovst on Wednesday and for Ipswich on Thursday. He needs to get them sorted ASAP. 😉

Where's the chef - oops cook.

He should not have signed for a UK team knowing he would inevitably miss meetings...

Thank goodness that Richard is there...:D

Lawson got paid 10 not that bad considering Masters was unbeatable last night.

But from 5 rides and the 3 bonus points don't count in the averages just in his pay packet 😜

A shame we are so weak tonight. Harrison for Cook is not good. Wood, well the lad is a tough guy but will he threaten the scorers?  Think we will come up short after last nights lethargic performance. Will be watching as always.
