More likely that one team runs away with both leagues then suffers injuries to key team members resulting in a loss in the grand final. We could then heap praise on the second placed team as being the best in the land and worthy winners.

As Matt Ford - who returns to live back in Poole from France on a permanent basis - states he is in constant discussion over the longer term future of Poole Pirates with Clark Osborne and the Council, the latter wanting Poole Speedway (as the 2nd largest supported club in the area after AFCB) to remain in the Town. Alternative sites are being looked at for the longer term while Pirates remain at the stadium on an ongoing year-to-year rental basis. People will still turn up for their speedway fix. When it’s ingrained from an early age it’s hard to turn your back on it I reckon. It’s just a shame that there’s nothing really to celebrate if you come out on top of 4 other teams. People still will though and that’s their right I suppose.
