That's the $64,000 question! Has the latter brought the former? And what happens if he loses that engine, for whatever reason, will he revert to type or is this the kick on he needed?

24 years ago we had play offs and played each other twice home & away due to the fact there was only nine teams in the league. The “something” it meant back then was the same as now. Prior to that in 2001, without the play offs you could be soon cut adrift as The Aces were finishing with just 16 match points compared to Oxfords 58. The vast majority of our fixtures meant nothing in terms of the big prize. We still played each other twice at home due to the low amount of teams competing.  How far back do you go to find a time when meetings would “mean something” to all those competing? Speedway is tedious & boring plus too expensive for what’s on offer. Fix that and it doesn’t matter if it’s a bottom of the table dead rubber, people will attend and return again. 

So we have Dayle Wood on Friday night and Sam Hagon on Saturday night filling some big shoes this weekend on a side note Workington sign Max Perry to replace Jamie Etherington

Maybe the air fence hasn’t arrived ??
