Oxford Spires vs Leicester Lions PLR2 25/09/25 19:30

Lawson guests at number one for Riss! The rider that has ridden less than anyone else in the team has the highest average, shows how bad the rest have been. Who would have thought he didnt want to ride at Glasgow! -

What strikes me is that this is a dumbing down of the prestige competition in World Speedway that is held every 3 years. Now we have the situation where a country with 2 good riders can qualify for the final of the top 4 rider team competition. -

The reason is business outside of speedway apparently but the dire situation speedway is in won’t of helped -
How to make a small fortune out of running a Speedway team? Start with a large one...

Once on a time there was TV money and we know who took gigantic slices of that particular cake.
-
will the seats be arranged so the nations are sort of near each other? very interested in going, enjoyed the GP a couple of years ago.
-
Sad that some decent people have decided to call it a day . For all the reasons they give the main reason will have been losing money.Going to be a hard to sell a speedway club in the current climate
-
Majority of the Worlds best ride in Poland anyway,so better too have it where it will be well attended.Poland could win it anywhere so it doesn’t really matter IMO

I love this cute notion that there's such a thing as 'TV money'!
-
Some lease, like Chicago, others own. TV money shared out across the league evenly with a strict wage cap in place that all must adhere to.

Just because he said it,doesn't mean he meant it. He's hardly going to say it's a bag of rubbishe is he!

Fan of the sport, with money to burn? Probably more wise to treat it as a hobby, than expected to make money from it.

So many comments saying "another nail in the coffin" or "another track gone". They haven't closed yet, let's have some positivity please. Also think it doesn't help potential buyers when they read the comments. I'm probably more realistic / negative on here, where it's less likely to put people off lol! While I expect them to run, would a new promotion want to race in the cheaper second tier, if the leagues stay as they are?

SWC Semi’s are in Germany and Latvia in 2026. All change as well for SWC in 2026 SON winners in Torun into SWC final( if Poland win it then it’s the runners-up that take the place. no race-off- only the winners of the 2 Semi’s qualify for the Warsaw final. -
