Goodness me, this is embarrassing from the Peterborough management. Every fan wants to hear their management team interact with fans but there rules, those rules are, no matter how angry fans are don't belittle & down play their importance under any circumstances. As I've always said, a clubs closure is NEVER the fault of it's supporters. The blame is 100% owners.5 points

Is it really 47 years since Tommy lost his life (20th May 1976)? May he be forever remembered. RIP4 points

Clear Zach is out of control here no wonder Charles was annoyed3 points

They are so far out of touch it is unreal. The only abuse that’s been dished it has come from their side. As I said to Johnson… when you are in a position of management… arguing with your fans on social media with comments like your own has made themselves and the Panthers look incredibly poor. These people are those who have kept the club afloat the past two years. An absolutely disgusting way to treat the paying customers, It’s clear to see PR hasn’t been covered in training staff members.3 points

Well Charles definitely doesnt lack aggression or will to win! Looked like if was Wrights fault so no idea why he was having a go at Zach, maybe he thinks its never his fault!3 points

Think every Scunny supporter was peed off when Joe had to go, especially replacing him with 2 deadwood in Clegg and Ablitt3 points

I still remember hearing the news, could not believe it. I was walking to school the following morning, on the Friday. It was a lovely sunny morning, when one of my pals met me on the way and told me the sad news. Such a loss. Never forgotten RIP Tommy3 points

Harsh. He’s doing exactly what it says on the tin with him. He’s been a 5-6 point rider for many years now, what were you expecting? At this stage of his career he’s not going to suddenly blossom in to a 7 point rider. There’s little surprise either with Andersen or Iversen. People said they were on decent averages, they never were. They’re washed up has beens whose averages were only ever heading in one direction! You’ve cut Basso some slack there because of his age which is fair enough, but if one rider so far has been a big disappointment it’s definitely him. He’s been awful.3 points

As an Oxford fan who was starved of speedway for 14 years , be thankful that you are at least still running this year and get behind the club in any way you can to help . It will be a travesty if it goes , but I can’t help thinking if I were involved in the club how depressed I would feel reading some of the comments . The club needs you more now than when they were winning ..!2 points

Think there is too much emphasis on the precision of the averages, possibly a better grading system would suit.Let’s face it going to .01 is a bit ludicrous in speedway.2 points
-
You could argue that it's not the lowering of the averages is the problem, but the way certain teams have been put together. I think the idea behind the lowering of the averages was to try and cut out the number of "big-hitters" in the CL. But it has had the opposite effect in many cases and there are riders who have come in to the CL who are not ready.2 points

Exactly this, Worrall is doing what he does every year and is a 5.5-6.5 rider at best so holding his own, Cook in his first full season in the top league and Jenkins as the RS are doing what's expected of them generally also, the problem mainly lies with how the team was set up originally, Basso should never of been in a HL role in his second season, number 2 or 4 at best, and Andersen should of been shoehorned in at reserve if they were so keen to have him back again, and the other ageing Dane Iversen is simply past his best sadly as a HL in this league.2 points

How was the football match allowed to go on for so long? I thought there was a sports curfew in the area.2 points

Over the years in his many , programme columns, magazine columns and now blogs Dick has written a fair amount of drivell under his various guises, but this one must be close to the top of the list for absolute balderdash2 points

2 mins extra on 6 That's the equivalent proportionally of FIFTEEN for a standard half There was nothing in the added time any more significant than during 'normal' play so the extra additional time should've been no more than say an extra 45 seconds Also looked like the ref was ready to blow if Boro cleared the ball but just carried on until the attack finished - which is wrong. When times up then times up....2 points

First time i've visited Glasgow this season and i left thinking this could be the year barring injuries that the Tigers lift some silverware. Bomber for me has always been box office regardless of where he rides, he's just a class act and worth the admission money on his own. Along with the in form duo of Basso and Brennan they form a strong heat leader trio. Glasgow seems to bring out the best in big Claus Vissing who along with Marcin Nowak form strong second strings. Ace Pjiper was very impressive tonight for someone 16 years old and as a Worky fan i'm gonna enjoy watching his progress for the Comets NDL team while the reborn Lee Complin is not far away from scoring bigger points. Bearing in mind it was cloudy most of the afternoon i was disappointed that there was dust from heat 1. Some of the racing was top drawer especially from Bomber and Tom Brennan. Scunny with the exception of flying Ryan Douglas and the early races of MPT were generally disappointing. The previous comments regarding their recent team changes are well justified in my opinion. At £20 pound admission and £3-50 for a programme its just as well the racing was generally entertaining.2 points

Mountains where he belongs in reserve, hence why he’s scoring, need team to support each other won’t win much without team all contributing2 points

Well that was the steaming turd on my sporting cake this week. Absolute thrashing and not a lot of good racing. Congratulations to Poole, not a single weak link in the team tonight and thoroughly deserved to go through. Ben Cook the star man for me, quality ride in Heat 15 and superb throughout. For the Bears I can only really say Charles has a decent meeting. Lewi started the meeting well but faded and Danny made some uncharacteristic mistakes in races. Edwards had a poor night (thought he was unlucky to be excluded though) and the other 3 have not scored more than 10 in a home meeting between them all season and you can’t win meetings against good teams with that sort of contribution. Like I’ve said many times the Redcar track holds no fear for any visiting team and if the Bears have an off night it’s always going to be a struggle to win.1 point

Think Workington are favourites for the double, Complin, Pijper & Crang are all former Berwick riders, so should go well. Really rate this Workington side, partly because Harrison was at reserve, but they did well enough without him at home.1 point

Our promotion need to hire a PR manager because they're not good when it comes to communicating with the fans. The fans have every right to call them out.1 point

Mulford first champ meeting I believe was at Glasgow in 2021 guesting in place of Dan Gilkes for Kent. He didn't score but was on the pace in all his rides, 2 years later from the little I've seen it's much the same1 point

In the Premiership Ritchie Worrall is currently averaging over six. His best season since 2017, yet he's still getting flack. If anyone is entitled to be disappointed by his current form it's Plymouth fans.1 point

If a site is found that is not in council ownership the only role that the council has is in granting planning permission. That permission will not be a judgement on the wisdom of the venture in the current economic climate.1 point

I've always liked Kolidziej despite riding for those in Reading.. Would like to have seen him in this year's GP series. Think he's 41 now, but his form over last season and this puts him right up there still.1 point

Fair comment, happens to a lot of riders who you’d call racers. I’ve seen a lot of riders I’d consider (for want of a better phrase) “dirty” over the years and I wouldn’t put Charles in that category.1 point

As I've already said how many Scunny fans would pay £30 to watch 15 heats they want to see and 15 their not in the slightest interested in,wonder what the excuses will be next double header?1 point

From the Berwick website When the fixtures were planned, May 6th was just another date on the calendar. No-one could have appreciated how a greater proportion than expected of the population (and therefore a greater proportion of the potential speedway crowd) would decide to celebrate the Royal day with a knees-up, and give our attraction a miss. From Wikipedia The organisation of the coronation was the responsibility of the earl marshal, the Duke of Norfolk.[8] A committee of privy counsellors arranged the event.[9][7] On 11 October 2022, the date of the coronation was announced as 6 May 2023, a choice made to ensure sufficient time to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II before holding the ceremony.[10][7]1 point

Best ever quiz answer was: "In his ancient Greek epic poems, Homer described Nectar as the drink of the gods. What did he say was the food of the gods?" Answer: Well I know Homer likes doughnuts. So I'll say doughnuts.1 point

Where to start....well what a fantastic return to Speedway at Workington on Saturday afternoon. The crowd estimated to be around 2500 was the best tribute of all that could be given to the management team, staff and riders of Workington Speedway, thank you to everyone that attended including many that had traveled some distance from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Berwick etc. A win for the Comets on track was the icing on the cake with all the lads chipping in with points for a great team performance. The organisation of the entrance to the stadium, car park marshaling and other stadium officials was exemplary . The track stood up fairy well to the afternoon sun but was breaking a little up later in the meeting , hopefully the track will bed in better after a few weeks. Facilities for food and drink were very good, better than some clubs have put on for major meetings in the Championship. Hopefully the Cumbrian people will support the new venture in good numbers to help the club move forward in the coming years. Oh, can fans use the bins provided please for their rubbish, thank you. Once again thank you to Andrew and his hard working team for bring Speedway back to the town.1 point
