Doesn't matter if he's injured, taking a break or been dropped for poor form, he's not in a teams 1-7. There was no 28 day signing due to injury, both teams have replaced him. Lynn may want him back, doubt Glasgow would. Anyway, I reckon Nora racing to help him regain confidence / learn how to ride in close contact without shutting off, would be best for him.4 points

But that’s his problem for not performing not the sports. Can’t expect the governing body to feel sorry for him and give him an average reduction and big cuddle telling him everything will be okay.4 points

Kurtz missed the meeting after the GP he got injured in.He made his comeback Friday which is fine, now if he doesn't turn up for the Lynn meeting on Monday that is not fine. But he hasn't really done anything wrong yet.4 points

I must admit, when I started watching Polish Speedway, and saw the levels of racing and crowds, I thought exactly the same.. And then you watched a meeting from over here on a Monday, and quickly realised that sadly, the only comparison you could make is that both are called Speedway... It could actually even be deemed almost unfair to the UK Promoters to show Polish Speedway over here, given the expectations it could create... Great to watch every Friday and Sunday... Add in a GP on a Saturday and its truly a cracking weekend...3 points

No because Kvech crashed and tried to complete the meeting but couldn’t … tried to race today and clearly can’t ride properly Kurtz crashed … carried on … one a race and almost won the final….. pulled a sickie on the Thursday … only to ride Friday and get a maximum and then win the GP on Saturday Kurtz could have easily rode Thursday he just didn’t fancy it3 points

I do have an agenda and that agenda is British Speedway, if riders want to come from abroad and live here and build a career, great! They shouldn't then be picking and choosing the meetings they ride in at the expense of British Speedway. Speedway is on a knife edge in this country at the moment, we're not in the Peter Collins/Kenny Carter era when punters would turn up pretty much regardless of who was or wasn't riding, in fact you maybe able to point to the personal antics of riders through the years as one of the main diminishing factors in British Speedway and it continues to this day... and it should be stopped. I really couldn't care what riders do elsewhere, I follow British Speedway, I follow Leicester Lions and that is where I spend my money following this club home and away and I expect when I hand my £23 over at the turnstile to see the rider who I watched only 5 days earlier lift a 2nd place trophy in the SGP, completing all of his rides after his off. I don't expect him to be missing and then turning up abroad the very next night and reeling off a 12 point maximum and then only dropping 3 points at the very highest level the next night. I'm not going to rake up what happened last year, that's been done to death... but he did effectively receive an ultimatum from the SCB... who have been strangely quiet on most issues this year. If you finish your full rides in one meeting unless you sustain a non-Speedway related injury then you should be expected to be competing in your next scheduled meeting. It's a real shame that you should choose to sign off your comments with insults, I thought you were better than that, "a disgusting speedway fan and a disgraceful human being" and a troll wow! I actually felt a bit sorry for you when a section of Ippo fans were giving you abuse earlier in the year, I'm inclined to agree with them now. I hope you enjoy your world travels following Brady Kurtz when British Speedway has failed.3 points

Well the rain unfortunately came about 90 minutes before tapes up and at one time was pretty heavy. All the weather updates gave it to pass over by about 2-45 pm and so it proved. The rain actually helped the track condition and the forecasted timing will have been in Steve Lawsons thinking when he was carrying out his pre meeting track watering regimen. Must admit I was a bit surprised when we got dust around heat 7. It was great to see the Comets finally get their league campaign underway on what must be some kind of record late start date in recent seasons. It was a good solid performance from all the Comets which was encouraging. Special thanks should go to Jonatan Grahn who changed his flight to Poland in order to guest for us in the absence of Fraser, he pulled off a couple of eye catching wins in his tally of 8 points. It was rewarding to see Tate win his first race at the GT Tyres Arena in 2025 ! almost unbelievable when you consider the form he produced there in the early part of last season prior to him crashing at Belle Vue. Hope we see his full confidence return now and he can start thrilling us all again like he did last season, go Tate . Also really pleased for Jacob Hook who achieved his best score to date in British Speedway, he gave his best in every race and deserved his reward. With the possible exception of Lasse Fredriksen the Gladiators were very much a one man team yesterday. Nicolai Klindt was different class . I think that has to be the most dominant display with the possible exception of Dan Bewley in last seasons Ben Fund meeting that I have witnessed at the GT Tyres Arena. Not many riders have ridden turns 3 and 4 so wide with so much speed and control !. He was obviously enjoying himself on a track where he could display his supreme motorcycle skills in complete confidence. UTC!3 points

Why blame the fact that she is female for a decision like that? Do you think that every female watching that thought that Thomsen was at fault?2 points

Rarely agree with Blobby but he is bang on this time. Why should Boughen be giving special treatment? From all accounts a pain in the arse in the pits coupled with a huge ego. Hes had a few knocks and now realises he isn't anywhere near as good as he thinks he is. Been many brits with far better attitudes down the years who have lost out due to averages and rules.2 points

The thing with Tai is,he does it on purpose.Im sure nobody cares when it is the heat of the moment stuff, like Thomsen last night.2 points

And you think Poland don’t have issues with money? Yet they still come to Manchester which is a much more expensive trip than English people to travel to Poland. English people find money to go on holidays and football matches and even Manchester GP so if they really wanted to they could save and go. Enough* said.2 points

It mystifies me that fans on here can post endlessly in the name of British Speedway about Brady when he has done no wrong yet are happy for their local club to put on regular gate’n’go speedway that has a far greater negative impact on the sport and they say nothing.2 points

Wasn't a good performance from him last night to be fair to Fromafar. Probably passed more times last night than all other matches he's raced at Berwick combined. If he was his usual self then Berwick would have most probably lost.2 points

Well done to Bandits, well deserved and some very good racing.Simon Lambert summed the track up perfectly ( it’s a man’s track).IMO Danny just tried to race Drew into 3rd/4th bend and had to pull it back and just lost the back-end.Interesting Riss said the track was going to be graded, but they did not do it before re-run of race. Bandits got stuck in and deserved the win with some fearless riding.Entertaining meeting IMO. I admire Gavin Parr for his honesty during meetings,no excuses from him.2 points

That remark is as far of the mark as believing Brady Kurtz injury prevented him go riding for Belle Vue on Thursday and just as irrelevant .1 point

You've long since stopped attending British Speedway because riders pick and choose their meetings so you'll barely miss it... maybe only on a couple of nights in September 👍🏻1 point

Why are all Aces fans rimming Kurtz?… rimming a rider that was clearly okay to ride but didn’t want to ride on Thursday for you 🤷🏻♂️1 point

Good match, Berwick thoroughly deserved winners attacking the track more than the Bears except Charles may have been different if Danny hadn't done his wrist,as a team all the Bandits rode well including Kyle1 point

A good meeting yesterday I thought. Decent amount of passing but god the comets need to do something with the starts they just can’t seem to get out of them! Grahn was a superb guest and scored more points than bowes would have. It shows that hook is the one who’s been putting the laps in down at northside between meetings. Decent crowd more than I expected. Strange refereeing decision in heat 2 because Cluff can’t seem to count!! Didn’t jeopardise the result thankfully, onwards and upwards!1 point

I few comments on here not true… Zmarzlik had no issue with Kurtz winning and greeted him multiple times smiling and celebrating with him. Zmarzlik also celebrated with the home fans many time (probably off live TV) after the meeting and was smiling and laughing with Kurtz and Bewley. The only thing I noticed that he has changed is that he rides harder now and more aggressive and maybe because he realises someone is really trying to take his crown. All in all, tonight for me had everything, the atmosphere will never be beaten when you come to Poland, the weather was perfect and the racing was great… not gate and go and some good moves. Not many BV fans on here regarding the SGP this week I noticed. Gorzow will remain on the calendar but only give one to Manchester and maybe another goes to Poland, somewhere new. The comments about empty seats… there were many in the lower tier due to people in Gorzow and Toruń liking to stand under the upper tier with a beer or two and not sit down, although granted, still deffo not a sell out and 3,000 short I would assume.1 point

Riss showing a perfect example of what happens to you if you don’t ride wide at Berwick.1 point

Kurtz fast gaining a reputation for "full on, get out of my way racing"... Hence riders move over, (even Freddie!), similar to when BZ flies under you... They know not to try and block without consequence... The only thing holding Dan back...1 point

Thanks for a reply at last. The reason for being particular about league meetings is since you started this crusade last year there are many on here who genuinely believe Brady picks and chooses his meetings. I couldn’t understand why, on a subject you know well, you weren’t putting them straight. Why keep quiet? The reason is you don’t want the full facts discussed as you have an agenda. A fit Brady has ridden in one championship qualifier whilst subsequently missing a Belle Vue fixture. There was a Polish meeting that due to his injury he did not complete and missed a later Aces meeting. For Brady’s other injuries he has not ridden elsewhere then missed the UK then ridden elsewhere. Fans in this country seem to think injured riders should return to the track when fit, in the UK first which is ridiculous as we can go three weeks without a fixture. Now we come to the individual world championship meeting. This is the hardest to grasp for me. During the fifty odd years I’ve followed the sport I first came across a rider chasing championship glory whilst injured in 1977 when PC rode in Sweden with a leg full of stitches. The media, the fans and other riders only had glowing tributes to pay him for his bravery. The fact he didn’t turn out for Belle Vue despite being “well enough” to come second wasn’t even a talking point. This was the case with Kenny Carters British Final triumph with a broken leg and all the others who have ridden at championship level over the decades whilst injured and missing domestic league meetings. They can only let themselves down when taking the risk to ride but should they chance it in a team meeting then it’s not just them who may suffer. Anyone who has anything but admiration for riders in this situation, I’m sorry to say, is a disgusting speedway fan and a disgraceful human being. We’ll part ways now, so you can troll without rebuke. I would ask though that when it concerns injured riders, please tone it down a bit if not stop completely.1 point

This thread is like so many others on BSF now. The regular “trolls” descend fairly early on looking for bites with factually incorrect posts solely aimed at causing trouble. Things then escalate as loyal fans rightly back their hero’s. The trolls get off on the interaction and ramp things up either repetitively or with more incredibly bogus posts. Polite attempts to drill down into their inaccurate theories are ignored. Correcting them with factual links usually leads to abuse. You then get faux disgust from them when fans have responded in the same vain as the original fishing post. And repeat. All meaningful debate around the actual meeting is lost as are members on here by the week.1 point

Totally agree. Signed for Comets before getting a chance at Tarnow. Would rather be No 8 there than getting good race practice in the UK. Believe he is missing next week too.1 point
