Given his age and experience I fail to see why there can be any criticism of Harrison this season. He is a class act for his age.12 points

Between Max & Freddy ,they have score 32 , paid 38 in their last 4 matches in 7 days (2 home 2 away)8 points

Were Glasgow just really good or were scunny that bad ?me personally I think the Glasgow riders are just getting the track set up right after a few weeks consistent racing and our reserves together are scoring a lot more than their average, Villads is scoring nearly double his average max last night and the rest are scoring over there ave too ,We seem to have a great team sprit in the pits this year just need to keep this up7 points

Really good to see young max Perry starting to show some good form. Well done to Glasgow for sticking with him and not dumping him like Poole did last year5 points

Both, if I bore you that much, just mute me. If I replied to the post saying "I don't agree with you" without giving any context / reasoning, what would be the point of that? So I pointed out his away average has actually gone up. Then @Woke23 sent a sensible reply with his reasons for his comments. Both of us gave an opinion, it would be boring if everyone agreed all the time, there was no insults or name calling, I'd say that's what the forum is for. Obviously I like stats, if others don't that's fine too. But I don't see why I should stop using them.5 points

Final score doesn’t do rybnik justice and was a pretty good match to watch4 points

Let’s hope it’s a foul one, we could do with some entertainment4 points

How do you know what he needs? Bet you’ve never spoken to the kid and you’re on the internet calling him cocky and saying he thinks he’s a superstar because he’s taken a couple of guest bookings. Strange strange behaviour.4 points

Just caught up with this and what a great advert for grass roots British Speedway! 13 committed lads, great racing, a close scoreline for the aggregate bonus point, incident and controversy. The Plymouth track has taken some stick in the past but it was spot on tonight. Absolutely put the tripe served up in Latvia in the GP to shame in comparison. The commentator mentioned it, the word of the night was commitment and without wishing to labour the point, tonight's match showed that Plymouth and British Speedway does not need the likes of Nicolai Klindt. It's just a shame that the rules and the spineless SCB are letting this situation continue with Klindt treating Plymouth like a piece of dirt and a last resort pay day.4 points

Glasgow have no intention of dumping him, even if there was a better option, Max is not far away from getting regular points, he is keeping pace even if not in a scoring position3 points
-
Even when they do finish at the back (at least at home) they are right on the heels of 3rd and pushing until the flag, both are improving with every match which is great to see3 points

Sounds like Leicester's lux ran out... I'll get me coat....3 points
-
Yes but we need him to score some as Starke is not scoring many and Glasgow looking very strong and could easily beat us to top spot.3 points

Great to also see how many youngsters in attendance. The kids race was packed. the mascot entertaining the crowd and more importantly the riders interacting with the crowd. None of the above costs much but can certainly make the experience of race night so much better between races. well done Plymouth3 points

Wouldn't make an awful lot of difference i reckon. We weren't going to win league with Sedgy and Kerr, we probably won't with Morris and Etheridge but at least the promotion have tried something3 points

Give your head a wobble.... Without Kurtz this season would have been a write off already.... Possibly the GOAT has so far only managed three points more.... No one wins a world title without being a special talent... And that includes the likes of Szczakiel, Muller and Havelock, amongst others, who won one offs...3 points

Just getting that out there now in case Poole don't finish top. 😂 "We didn't want to finish top anyway!" 😂2 points

I think anyone who knows their stuff or doesn't have an agenda can see that clearly.2 points

Excellent stuff from Kurtz. New track for him, slow start, pressure of the LCQ and then last gate choice for the final when making the start was crucial. I thought he'd start to fall away slightly towards the end of the series but he's just getting better at the moment.2 points

Starting to look like a battle between Oxford and Redcar for the last spot. Could all come down to Wednesday's meeting between the two sides, would be a huge boost for the Cheetahs if they take all three points. 1. Glasgow 2. Poole 3. Edinburgh 4. Oxford 5. Redcar 6. Berwick 7. Plymouth 8. Workington 9. Scunthorpe2 points

Or getting your RS to pull out 'injured' so you can replace them with your GP reserve......2 points

even before the rain it was a borefest, even after the rain it was a borefest,,,,highlight of the meeting, the adverts Kurtz is riding well, Freddie has the biggest pair of balls going, BZ is the entertainer, the rest will have the odd GP here and there to raise the pulses. The tracks in general for the GP's are little more than a gaters paradise, boils my piss when we are six races in and we are told that the track will come good, over a quarter of the way through a meeting and its follow the leader, Then after any track preparation it goes back to gate and go.2 points

Just about every team manager uses R/R at 2 these days, don’t understand the consternation around this as in 3 of the heats the replacement is with theoretically the teams strongest rider and then in heat 8 you get to use said rider. It worked nearly perfectly for Oxford last night too as they got 2 x 5-1’s, 1 x 4-2 and would have had another if it wasn’t for Masters running out of fuel. Peter Schroek makes some strange and terrible decisions but putting R/R at two was absolutely the right thing to do and seems to be the consensus thing to do these days. I found it more odd he didn’t use Knudsen in Heat 12 and put Killeen in heat 15.2 points

Good to see you Neila especially as we took the bonus point lol. It was a good meeting takes 2 teams to make a good match good luck for the rest of the season2 points

Sounds like you have an itch to prove people wrong, I know what that is a trait of and it all matches up now, which is why people probably just ignore you. The reason I said what I did is because you can’t go on a single thread on this whole forum without you chirping up and doing the exact thing I mentioned. Or quite often it’s telling everyone what team changes the team manager should have made during a meeting. The mute button is good advice Captain Hindsight.2 points

Quite surprised how good this Plymouth track is, good entertaining meeting.2 points

Viewed the heat 15 footage of the tapes fiasco and i don't think any other club would get away with that . Definitely the refs fault for not stopping it but the start Marshall should know better to do what he did.2 points

Various forecasts to look at ? Some say stops raining 12pm some say 4/5pm ? It's rained lightly until 12 pm today it's now warm & sunny until middle of night? if it does same today for tomorrow should be good to go ? Plus TNT are in town so they will want it on 🤔😜1 point

But if crowds are (say) twice/three times that much wouldn't it just lead the application being turned down on traffic grounds?1 point

A fit for purpose RR would negate guests... Keep it simple... The rider missing can be replaced by the riders above and below twice (if the manager wishes), with a max seven rides each in the meeting... No1 missing? Then any riders can take his place to a max of two of his four rides.. No7 missing? Then a No8 (unattached), comes in and takes two of his rides with the No6 doing the other two... Whatever rider is missing then that is the RR spot... Other riders may get injured in a meeting but that is sport so by all means have an IRR plan to accommodate it... Which includes any rider pulling out missing the next match as a matter of course so as to dissuade any dodgy practice... Ipswich's Tom Brennan making a massive contribution to Leicester winning the KO Cup is nonsense really isn't it? And so many guestfests take place needlessly due to the RR system being so flawed, and are often due to one or other of the teams seeing an opportunity for a few ringers being brought in.. Simply. In 2025 this sport will never be taken seriously by the wider media and public with such a system in place..1 point

I don't think Cairns would take lightly (is that the correct term) to being told to "take it easy" to lower his average. Especially as he obviously went to Poole as they were the best club to help him progress in his career, right? After all look at how much effort Poole put into development league speedway 🫢1 point

Just to add something to the 'debate', a start marshall remains on the track when the ref starts each race as he walks away from the start line but still on the track. In fact when the start marshall has to use a pole/bollard on the line to stop the tapes from billowing, he has to return to the startline to remove the pole while the first lap of the race is in progress. Also aren't start marshalls, like refs, SCB accredited?1 point

Erik is clearly very ill. He has not only stopped racing in this country, he has withdrawn from the long track championship where he was expected to be a front runner. I've read reports that he has pressure on his brain which sounds very scary. I hope people join with me and wish him him a speedy recovery.1 point
