Track has been much slicker lately than it was today. Plenty of opportunities to pass, sure I remember Hook going round Harris, most other Comets had to produce at least one pass today, and both Tigers managed to relegate Batch to the back in ht 13 (after he'd also come from the back in an earlier ht). Some of what I'm reading on here is utter nonsense, I've seen a hell of a lot worse meetings than that.13 points

Wouldn’t read too much into this today we didn’t perform as we can or have done. Track was the same for both teams we were just beaten by the better team on the day, it happens and we move on.12 points

No complaints Workington the better team on the day by a considerable distance. Bad day at the office it happens I am sure we will bounce back. well done to Workington rode the track well.11 points

I’ve really enjoyed this meeting, racing has been decent10 points

Can you stop mentioning him now please. There's no better sight than Chris Harris scraping the airfence to make a pass, at any track, but instead today we've seen the Workington riders making passes inside and out, quite a decent entertaining meeting. Well done Workington, good team effort.9 points

First visit down to new Worky and really enjoyed it, great wee set up and clearly a lot of love and hard work has gone into it, congratulations. The dust was the worst I have encountered since the days of Newport but once I got myself to the 3rd bend all was good. I thought the racing was excellent, no idea what some of the maniacs on here are moaning about. Well done Worky, bad day at the office for our boys, it happens!8 points

Think it is more a case that some on here expect the high level of performance we have produced most weeks. It then becomes a disaster if we get a result like today. Personally I think you have to congratulate the opposition for out fighting us in every department and it should spur us on too make sure it doesn’t happen again.8 points

I would just like to say thank you to all the Tigers fans who made the journey to Worky today, you guys are a credit to not only Glasgow Tigers but speedway in general.👌7 points

this is how you lose folks with a bit of class glasgow are a quality speedway team they just had a bad day today7 points

Tbf I tend to waffle and lose track but in what way have I talked my way out of a job? Pretty sure what I’ve said was correct, and I include myself in that category, the club does need to change its attitude. Imagine my job with Ryan is reasonably safe so at least I have that to fall back on.7 points

I'm a neutral - that was my first meeting I've seen at Northside - I'll be back. End of.....6 points

Doctor we’ve found one these Glasgow Facenna best track in world speedway, must mention the Glasgow track at all opportunities, believe everything they say brainwashed people.5 points

You know what is painful, reading your comments. The Comets are fast today, what do you think is going to happen if we get out in front and are fast. The Comets riders have had no problems passing today as seen in the last few heats. Stick to being an armchair fan and it’ll do us all a favour. Plenty of proper Glasgow fans here btw. Kudos to them 🫡5 points

The Plymouth Gladiators will be boosted by the return of Danish star Nicolai Klindt for their final home fixture of the season this Saturday against the Berwick Bandits. Klindt has been watching closely from the sidelines in recent weeks and admits it has been tough not being involved: “I’ve been following the boys closely over the last couple of meetings where I unfortunately haven’t been available. Our last home meeting ended in a very narrow loss, with Lasse, Joe and Ben all being out due to injury, it would have been a different story if they’d been there. I’m really excited about finally being back at the Coliseum and I aim to bring my away form into Saturday and finish our season off with a win. Mark, Gary and everyone at the club deserves so much more than this season has ended up with due to injuries and misfortune, so to finish off with a big win against Berwick would be a great way to finish off this season at home!” With his determination clear, Klindt will be looking to lead from the front and give Gladiators fans the result they deserve on what promises to be an emotional night at the Coliseum. The curtain comes down on an action-packed speedway season this Saturday 23rd August at the Plymouth Coliseum, as the Plymouth Gladiators take on the Berwick Bandits in their final home race meeting of 2025. That's quite the read!5 points

How many more times am i going to write this. If any of the 4 qualifiers from the Challenge final qualify by finishing in the GP top 7 then the next in line will qualify for the GP series. If the winner of the SEC comp has qualified for 2026 by finishing in the GP top 7 or the top 4 in the Challenge then the FIM/WBD get an extra pick( 4 not 3)4 points

Do you get paid every time you say the name Gerry Facenna?4 points

Same here, much better than last night bar the scrap on the track.4 points

Great win for the Comets and a fine team performance . Well done lads . The comments from a few Glasgow fans is simply embarrassing , fortunately there are plenty of decent Tigers fans who took the defeat as it was , ie a bad day all round not like some who blamed the track and lack of passing , maybe I was at a different meeting. Good to see plenty of Glasgow fans at Worky , I hope you go on to win the title .3 points

There are some sore sour losers in here. Was there a lot of dust? Yes. Was it a poor track? Absolutely not. To say there was "no passing" is ridiculous. Maybe no passing by the Glasgow lads but im pretty sure Jacob Hook passed on the outside twice, jye did, Tate did, batchelor did, vuolas did, and vinnie gave it a good go too. Got battered by the better team on the day. Wind your necks in and take the defeat.3 points

Talking rubbish if your tigers are that good they should be able to ride anything !3 points

If you believe that you’ll be believe anything which it seems you do. Glasgow like every other track in the country set their track up to win.3 points

Well... after heat 12 you can't blame the track, Glasgow team is stacked with experience they're well clear with Poole at the top of the league, they just shouldn't be this bad.3 points

This is painful. 1. We’re getting destroyed. 2. This sandpit of a track is a joke. Woeful racing. So poor. This does the sport no good whatsoever.3 points

Glad to see another point of view. If you watch closely as Wright crosses the finish line he hits the rut in gate 4 which puts him right into the path of Jake, he had a split second to sort it out and got it wrong , don’t think it was deliberate but he could have turned straight around on track and apologised but it made for great entertainment anyway. All loved up again afterwards and felt sorry for Jake as the blown engine didn’t help his mood .3 points

And nothing says more Mickey Mouse than a policy that allows teams to plan in meetings knowing riders will be missing and replace them from other teams, rather than running the meetings when the actual team can be there.. The guest system isnt a "necessary evil", as some term it, it is now a fundamental key part of the operating model.... A chance for some riders to earn more money, and a catch all safety net to complete the season, driven by the signing of riders who, knowingly, won't be available to represent the team..3 points

Whilst we're on a trip down memory lane I feel the need to share this. It's 1977 and Mum and Dad are still together. Saturday nights we'd travel to Lynn from Aylsham via the B1145 as that was the fastest route. I remember getting fish and chips somewhere in Lynn and the owners had a Boxer dog that we used to have slobbery kisses with being Boxer owners. I was 7 and Sunday mornings were spent with me being Michael Lee whist riding up and down Sir Williams Close in Aylsham on my Raleigh Chipper (the Grifter would come later). I had a red plastic p'ss pot helmet, KL race jacket and wellies. I would do 'gardening' at the pretend tapes and lots of practice starts. Good times!3 points

One thought on the crash, if Allen had kept his throttle on for the first 2 bends after the close finish, Wright wouldn't have run into him. Occasionally when you see a really close finish & riders shut-off straight away, the challenging rider(s) can find it hard to avoid them. This wouldn't be necessary if a rider is miles in front, but should riders do an extra bend if they know someone's right behind them at the finish?2 points

far less satisfying though when you doctor your home track to do it far better to give everybody a decent surface and may the vbest team win2 points

Just seen the scores another big score from Jeppesen. Berwick have a good top 4 there should they wish to return.2 points
-
On the edge, but unlikely to make it. You'd need to win all remaining points (possible), rely on Edinburgh getting nothing from their remaining fixture (likely) and make up the points difference (questionable). A good side let down by inconsistency.2 points

We do need to get a grip on the dust, it's not acceptable to paying fans or a good selling point when trying to recruit new fans. You should be able to watch from were you wish without getting covered end of.2 points

Should do away with the BSN Series, it's only a early season fixture filler and nobody really cares who wins it. I'd rather see the reintroduction of the 4's in some form.2 points

Interesting that Workington have gotten the aggregate point over both Glasgow & Poole in the league, yet won't make the play-offs. Obviously on their day can put in good performances but not often enough. Of course they'd have been closer without 2 points deducted.2 points

Bad day at Office for Tigers .Think will top the League if they win at Ashfield on Fri.Perhaps just giving their “other Team” a helping hand to keep up the morale for the fans.🤔 well done too Comets it was a deserved win.2 points

Absolutely shocking stuff from the Tigers, that's the difference with Poole, they just don't go missing like Glasgow have this afternoon! Cami Brown should be apologising to the fans for this display.2 points

This Glasgow side with Nagels will walk the league. Shame he misses so many meetings , but thats par for the course these days with riders. Riders just ride here there and everywhere when it suits them. After spending some time in the doldrums after the 2011 league title win, its great to see Glasgow back up near the top the last few years though. Scotlands finest.2 points

Some good racing tonight from both teams, and a last heat decider to finish off another terrific Scottish Derby. Glasgow showing a bit of grit to pull through a chaotic night , Edinburgh pushed all the way. Fair play to both teams for an entertaining night of speedway.2 points

Another major issue the sport has... In business, being "Brand Damaging" is avoided st all costs... In UK Speedway, it could be argued that to damage its brand isimply isnt possible, given the way it is ran has delivered a very low bar... "Any Speedway is better than no Speedway" appears the only mantra, hence four guests and RR is "perfectly acceptable" in the eyes of those in charge.. With the untold damage done to the sport further down the line, never for a moment considered it appears.... "Saving from themselves" might also be a good mantra to follow, as well meaning amateurs do their level best, but never learn about best practice, and how to deliver it...2 points

Perhaps FIM Europe view this as a Mickey mouse fixture for Glasgow, win or lose Glasgow will still be in the play-offs, why should Nagel give up individual glory for a "qualifying" league match?2 points
