You won the double had a chance of a treble, but you Poole fans want a big shake up. I really can't work out what more do you guys want from the riders? They gave it their all. It's sport, sometimes you lose and in most cases you won.10 points

Apparently Toby is out of hospital. Nothing broken just a bit battered and bruised.5 points

Still no update from the club about Toby, sure we shall hear today, hope all is ok. Watched the meeting back, great watch with some good racing, Jody was fantastic. Still disappointed that Richard couldn't make the effort to come out for his medal in front of his fans! seems to be a trait at times in the past for him (press days) when he thinks he is bigger than our club, be professional at all times, if we won gold he would have been on the centre green. Will asked 'where is Rich' with Danny and Middlo on the stage and all looked back at the pits, I hope Matt has a quiet word in his ear as not good enough in my opinion. Again well done to Redcar you deserved the trophy.5 points

Just got back. Well done to Redcar no complaints from the Poole fans. Such very very fine margins. If poor Tobias had made it over the line Pirates would have been celebrating the treble. Just one of those nights but I feel the team were complacent. Special mention for Jody Scott who put it all out there, an inch from the fence. Certainly a rider on an upward trajectory. Redcar got a very warm reception from all the Poole fans when they went over to their fans after heat 14. Poole fans really are the best out there.5 points

Absolutely, it's just a pity that his back was so sore that night that he couldn't turn up at Ashfield and prove the internet doubter trolls wrong. On a more positive note it's fantastic that his back improved so much overnight that he could take part in the individual meeting at Poole the next day and that he was well enough to get second4 points

With Phil Morris in charge of track prep, boats wouldn't be out of place...3 points

5 teams won’t work, surely they know this, at this rate by 2027 we will have the equivalent of the Oxford/Cambridge boat race3 points

Round the boards podcast..? He was definitely interviewed on there and said about changes in the championship and that he wanted to go back to Glasgow but didn't think he could be fitted in.3 points

Jody was the best rider on show, real grit and never give up attitude. As a spectator that's all you want to see.3 points

Massive well done to the Bears. They were clearly up for the challenge last night. Congratulations to Gabin Parr and the Redcar Bears. The Pirates were not at their best last night and maybe the playoff final was where we reached our peak. All the best to all Speedway fans of all clubs over the winter break. Looking forward to the return of Speedway in 2026.3 points

Have the club been concerned enough to release a press update? I'm not sure what you expect the rest of us to do? Ring the hospital?3 points

well done Redcar, they deserved something this season A great club3 points

Completely agree I hate any restriction on how you build your team obviously apart from the actual team limit. Im guessing Dan will be still looking for a championship team spot think going back to Plymouth would be a step back in my opinion, think he could end up at Scunthorpe.2 points

Yes definitely top performer, he was superb, nearly crashed and still almost beat Kerr. Very pleased for him, seems a nice lad who is going places, great to watch him attack the track. Not a great night for us but Redcar deserved it, they were all up for it and rode well.2 points
-
And we wanted him back. It should be personal choice how a team structures their line up.2 points
-
I think there is a difference between style & entertainment. having seen two riders at either side in the same team Jem Doncaster making starts with no motor & riding around in a lounge chair with Armando Castagna all action full gas & hanging of the bike like an epelectic spider.2 points
-
Well done Redcar, didn't see that coming at all. Jody really has developed nicely this season, really pleasing as a Lynn fan and fellow Norfolker.2 points
-
It's unprofessional and he should be teared off a strip for it.2 points

Not at all, why should eye2 points

We needed a good number one and number 5 , but neither position impressed this year and come heats 13 and 15 we were consistently poor. Got to change that as next years priority.2 points
-
And into another one by the looks of it they called another ambulance to take him away... better than a shopping trolley I suppose 🛒2 points

But Thompson looked slow in heat 12 when Kerr picked him off. So did Howarth in heat 13. This season, Howarth had been absolutely outstanding for Tigers in last heat deciders. It's easy to pick the riders after the event, but I think that picking Howarth was the right call. Clearly it didn't work out, but there is no guarantee that picking Thompson or Flint would actually have worked2 points

Redcar have had a good season think they were unlucky with Riss health issues, they were a very well balanced team with Eric.Things might have been different with him for the whole season.2 points

Won't be the normal pilots fans on here tonight. Well done to the 🐻 🐻 Jody Scott well done and a 85% vote for rider of the night2 points

Quoted as it highlights the financial position of the sport Here's a stark comparison which shows the gulf with football 10 miles from Ipswich is Needham Market. They play in the Southern League - effectively the 7th tier in the English game Yesterday they opened a new stand which cost £358,000 to build funded primarily by grants provided by the Premier League (£150k) and Southern League (£100k) and other agencies including £10k from local councils The stand apparently holds under 300 fans but would accommodate most of the average attendance. The game last night attracted their record attendance at 11052 points

Looks like it , as Dan T wanted to come back to Glasgow but didn't fit as his average is 8.75, looks like bomber is staying.Fans would have loved both back1 point
-
It there's no tv deal that would be my choice if only 5 teams keep the current points limit once home and away then top four into play offs and maybe run a second team in the second division would hopefully help minimise losses and people should turn up as you would only see the top men once or twice at home.1 point

Great to read JCB continuing their much valued sponsorship & support of the Lions in 20261 point

Would be a good signing IF he is available for all/most of the meetings, but as @lewy knows he went AWOL a lot this year for Plymouth1 point

Don’t think Glasgow are going anywhere. Dan Thompson said he has been released as the championship rules have changed and he can’t be fitted in. he is very disappointed as he wanted to go back.1 point

Oh, deary me it's all very quiet deafening in fact.1 point

That’s because he is unwanted next year. Scrap heap job I’m afraid1 point

Toby apparently got out the Ambulance in the pits.!!1 point

Who would leak it? Certainly not the testers and no one else would know that they were coming. In Rich's defence he's just become a dad and there was circumstances connected to that causing him to miss meetings too.1 point
-
Well done and congrats to Gavin Parr and his Bears. It was nip and tuck upto heat 10 andToby's crash when on a 5-1, which knocked the stuffing out of the Pirates. There was some good racing, some great passes (nb. Glasgow fans) and both teams had some gating success (nb. Glasgow fans), but the Bears were just that bit better overall.1 point

Home and away twice is just eight home meetings,... With a maximum ten if you reach the play off final.. And what do you do with KO Cup as at least three teams are in the semis? Mickey Mouse made up nonsense...1 point

It's the trophy worth winning the least but somehow feels like the biggest achievement of the domestic season!1 point

Poole fans leaving early 😂😂😂😂 An absolute rarity in speedway after watching your team just fall short of winning every trophy available. Plastic fans with an absolute embarrassment of a track.1 point

Well done Redcar, Poole fans leaving in there droves 😂1 point

The Irony is lots of Poole fans whinged about having the 2nd leg at home in competitions and the one when they actually have it they lost.1 point

Not convinced Blodorn is a shoe in for Aces next year with him taking up aU24 berth in Ekstraliga with Toruń. He's not really progressed as expected.1 point

I reckon that I was so lucky to watch and support Speedway during the 'sixties' and 'seventies'.. It was never perfect, but it was entertaining. The different competitions, Pairs, Four Team Tournaments, Internationals, Individual Meetings, (Proper) League Racing where the Team that won the League were actually allowed to win it (no 'Play Offs'). No Grand Prix either, just a proper Individual World Final that really meant something with loads of Qualifying Meetings. It was open to ALL riders, not just the selected few. There was even a chance for Second Division riders to win it. Compare that to what we have now. Plain League Racing, the odd Pairs Event, the very rare Individual Meeting and the odd GP. So little variation. No the wonder that people are voting with their feet. If I were able to attend, I am not sure that I would, Speedway has changed so much, and not for the better. Where are all the Characters these days?1 point

I don’t know what Flint you’ve been watching. Here are his home scores for the season……4+2 8+1 14+1 5+1 8 9+1 11+1 7+1 9+1 6+2 8+2 9+1 13+1 8+3 and 8…….and in my view he’s committed to improving further. I’d definitely have him back.1 point
