I’d sit this one out Lisa. A Poole fan criticising someone else’s track is like a homeless person criticising your curtains.16 points

That wouldn't be the same Mr Bowes who was gonna be a world beater for the pilots 🤔. As I've said before your welcome to him and he is showing his true worth 😀5 points

Correct and preparing crap tracks that provide little chance of anyone making a pass after missing the gate just makes every meeting a gating competition.4 points

Well that was unexpected!! Poole fans on here are just hilarious having the actual audacity to have a go at another track when the whole speedway fanbase knows Poole is by some way the worst track in the league Shovlar saying sedgeman is a good replacement for Riss either shows he is thick or simply trolling Let’s be fair if Oxford where at full strength they could have been close to 603 points

Yes indeed, pirates dodged a bullet there. Riss would have scored at least eight against a very lack lustered Pirates imo.3 points

That's true because it was basically a road tonight. More dirt on my shoe. We should have been paid to watch that.3 points

While you criticise Wimborne Road, the track is never, ever like that.3 points

Just shows how bad the pilots are if dayle woods is on a paid max 😜🤣🤣3 points

Well we were never at the races all night but somehow we go to Wimborne Road only 12 down. Clearly our worst performance in a long, long time but we battled second half to give ourselves a chance. The track was appalling. Truly dreadful and passing was no existent. Dust and blue groove which Lee Kirby said was there and no rider would go off it. Every chance of going through when it looked at one stage we would get a heavy thumping.2 points

Even more amazing when it wasn't actually raining! Haha. Just goes to show weather reports aren't all that accurate doesn't it? Oh well, I'm sure the crowd will benefit from not having the likes of you there. 🤡2 points

UK Speedway also isn't taken as seriously by a good many riders who ride in Poland... "Much more fun to do"... "You can ride often with, and against your mates"... "No pressure, not like in Poland"... Quotes from the past couple of years from some who ride in Poland every weekend... Maybe machinery too isn't up to the levels of some who just ride the UK? You wouldn't want to spend a ton of money to not earn several tonnes of money...2 points

Yes. Its good. Generally Lee Kilby on commentary and Laura Pollard doing the interviews.2 points

Cracking evening. Decent crowd considering the forecast - although would have been bigger had more Poole fans made the trip. Lot less Pirates' fans tonight than Coventry brought a fortnight ago. Track prepared for rain that didn't come, but still favoured those who attacked it. such as Mitch McDiarmid. What a performance from Dayle Wood - masterclass in gating and also lovely team-riding in Heat 8 to ensure the 5-1.1 point

A lot of criticism from Poole fans for the track tonight and.... they are right. It was awful. There was a lot speculation about how equipment/tractors, etc. had been removed over the past week, but reckon some must have missed the huge lorry load of shale that was clearly taken away. That said, it was the same for both teams, and Poole should be used to that sort of surface. If Erik had been available, it would have been a hammering.1 point

If that meeting was on in my back garden.. I’d have drawn the curtains. My back garden is quite large btw1 point

As much as i enjoy seeing Poole get beaten. I am sure all of these issues will be ironed out come july and beyond. Keep those averages down too.1 point

Sedgmen is a good replacement for Riss at Oxford? Sigh.... your propaganda has started a bit early this season hasn't it?1 point

I'm not so sure myself. I think Jan is just a 7 pointer (6.91) last season. Hes defiantly a trier though. He might up that a little this season, in a slightly weaker league.1 point

Nora are like the ACU but cheaper and better many MX clubs have moved over to them over the years pretty sure the top man (Barton I think his name was)used to work for the ACU and set it up when they were ripping off the mx for licences and insurance for meetings1 point

How many GP riders was he racing against last night. He is a decent rider though.Just saying his real commitment is not UK. where is his best Machinery I would ask.1 point

Totally agree with the first part, I think because Kvech was a GP rider you automatically expect more of him, but have to remember he finished 15th. Think he was always gonna lose his extraliga team spot as he's no longer an U24 rider. British Speedway should be important to him if he wants to prove he can compete with the best.1 point

This is incorrect, if Russia were in it so would be Ukraine, they are still above the Czechs in terms of qualifying.1 point

I don't think it's a lack of effort tbh, I personally think he's been vastly overrated by some fans due to him being handed a GP wildcard as part of a nationality box ticking exercise. Jan has even lost his place in the Polish top league and has dropped down a league this year after being part of Torun's title winning team in 2025.1 point

Paco really should have beaten King in heat 8, he had the chance to block his outside run but was too polite and left plenty of room. I actually thought he rode pretty well after heat 1 and given a few meetings on a track he had seldom ridden he could be solid. Cooper isn't going to fail to beat an opponent very often IMO but we shall see. Pointing fingers at riders one home meeting in is a bit early IMO.1 point

Not sure who really does a good injury policy these days, back in the day CICA was by far the best and was used by just about every major sport but about 20 years ago they stopped taking on new customers but they continued with existing customers, I’ve still got mine, I first took it out in 1994 and still have it today, I can remember the reps coming round to the meetings trying to sell the policy’s, I’m sure there are company’s that specialise in sports injury but not sure what the benifits are like especially with speedway being a high risk for injury but I remember the insurance provided by the SCB being really poor in comparison to the CICA, something else which I always thought was the Ben fund was just for serious injury not your average leg or arm break, for all the injuries i had I never claimed off the Ben fund because I didn’t know you could, I was alway suspicious of a certain rider who always seem to get a back injury in the last couple of meetings of the season, a nothing crash but enough to get him on the insurance pay roll if you know what I mean, I did hear that the CICA were investigating but never heard any comeback1 point

Did you watch it? I stood on the second bend with my dad and uncle and enjoyed it. If they’d have heavily watered the track and one of the isolated heavy showers I drove through en route half an hour before the meeting started had landed putting the meeting off with already 1000+ in the stadium that would’ve been a far bigger disaster on opening night than a bit of dust1 point

To be honest I don't think its a bad thing, its been a bit 'vanilla' the last few seasons, particularly Lynn's end, let's get a little bit of needle back to whet people's appetite.1 point

But the clubs sign riders knowing they already have a Polish contract.... Therefore, they 100% know they will be missing some meetings..1 point
