Feel for you mate, unfortunately British speedway is getting worse by the day, no one seems to have any joined up thinking of how to organise things, same as the British final being on a Saturday when 6 championship teams already had fixtures in place4 points
-
I think I've just spotted a mistake in the Ipswich fixture list for next week. It says we're racing Belle Vue. Surely it must be Northampton or King's Lynn?3 points

Im wondering who will stump up the £500 we have wasted on hotels flights and airport parking after we were told our rider had too be back3 points

I'm glad I grew up watching Gordon Kennett...a master of the white line and passed many opponents and created so many special memories! Sadly missed but his legacy lives on!3 points

"an exciting announcement about the future of the club at 7pm on Wednesday evening. Coleman has reached an agreement that will open considerable opportunities for the Rowe Motor Oil Premiership champions."2 points

The same garrity that loitererd outside the pits for 2 days straight trying to sneak into the pits and failing at every attempt.2 points

Surprised to see Lawson is riding in Denmark on Wednesday so Chris Harris is going to guest for him especially as clive was banging on about no clashes with Poole fixtures. Tut tut clive more wrong information or was it just another lie.2 points

No hes not back yet, Wroclaw just have to declare him in the line up so they can use rider replacement for him2 points

I'd agree with the "rising star" system being used in the Champ, but don't think Spencer would qualify due to his age. Don't agree that they shouldn't be dropped, it's a sport & a business. Plus that brings in other issues, Workington not being allowed to drop Etherington who wants to be let go or a rider who turns 16 mid-season (Will Cairns) not getting signed as no "RS" is allowed to be dropped, meaning he has to ride in the top 6! It's no surprise Spencer has been dropped as he wasn't scoring well & has been given plenty of matches. There's no guarantee Whalley will do any better as the jump from NL to Champ is massive, but can't blame Plymouth for trying something new.2 points

I agree with the bold part, however no place of work is a charity (unless it is an actual charity of course) and if you don't perform you're rightly moved on.2 points

I have always thought they should save a rain off programme for when it’s re arranged with an insert, at least it’s relevant to the team they are actually riding against2 points
-
And something that gets my back up is paying full price for a programme which is 2 weeks old with an insert. I realise that costs are involved but they should just charge enough to cover them.2 points

So you think a rider who is 26, Current Avg: 1.42. (Lowest in the League) Should be retained? How many seasons does he need to develop?. There is a paying public that Plymouth have to think of. Tom is obviously out of his depth in the Championship. It's not fair to him to score no points week after week, and it's not fair to the paying public. Sport can be hard, but being dropped is all part of it. imo he has been lucky to last this long; It's only due to the lack of riders that has kept him in the team.2 points
-
Do we all agree Jenkins should stay for Fredriksen once Battye is fit, he’s shown more in one meeting than Fredriksen has this ‘season’ so far2 points
-
Good luck to the lad.... Paid his dues... No point having a penal system if you cannot change...2 points
-
Like the NSS... There is a tipping point for the track..... On the slick side? (Just), with a dirt line outside, tremendous.. Too grippy, and all ride the berm and follow each other....2 points
-
Fair play to the Ipswich promotion, they now provide audio for the streaming service before the meeting and some of the interviews during the meeting to those at the track. And on the big screen of course.2 points

Ahhh, if ever a post reflected a nickname...Respectfully that's rubbish. The impact on his confidence finishing that far back in every heat can't be good for him and he's 26! It's not like he's a teenager who is upcoming, I'd argue 26 is far too old to be classified as a rising star anyway. Can't fault Tom's efforts and his professionalism but at this time he's clearly not ready for this level of racing. Hopefully a focus on NL for him will help him potentially secure a Championship place in the future. As for his replacement Ben Whalley, it's a brave shout bringing in an NDL 2 point rider straight into the Championship even with the amount of points he's scored. Anyone know much about him from his Edinburgh form? Either way got to be worth a try!! Good luck to him.2 points

If Poland want to race Thursday, they'll be racing Thursday regardless of Morris agreeing to it or not. Ultimately its down to who writes the biggest cheque, and whether we like it or not that will always be Poland and they'll always get preference over riders.2 points

If you enjoy the BSN coverage you may be interested in meeting the team at the NSSC. Ian Brannan, Ben Duffill, Martin Hunter and Greg Blair (and maybe more) will be at the Brandon Club on Tuesday 30th June at 8pm. The BSN team visited last year. It was a really interesting evening with plenty of laughs and inside stories. Everyone is welcome to attend with an entry of £4 with all proceeds for GB Youth Speedway. Come and join us for an evening of speedway chatter and help young British riders. The Brandon Club (just down the road from the stadium) offers some good beers, hot drinks and light snacks. Parking at the rear of the building and plenty of on street parking. Address. Main Street, Brandon, Coventry, CV8 3HW1 point

Well he did get 15 for Glasgow at Poole the other week and scored more than Lawson. It was hot weather that week too, so track should be similar. Also I had money on Bagpuss saying that we should have a NL replacement! 😉 Ooooh, harsh FB!!1 point

Great guys and some characters too. Make the effort really enjoyable guys to talk and listen to.1 point

So, in less than 48 hours, Buxton are staging a meeting. I've looked on their Facebook page and website, and have no idea who is riding. I do not find that very encouraging to bother going. Surely a few words of information would be helpful and informative.1 point

I agree, even though we won I thought it was the best race of the night, excellent team riding from both of them.1 point

There wasn't much racing to get excited about, but I must say that I thought Fricke's team ride with Jenkins was first class - Fricke filled every gap, while Jenkins rode solidly outside - a real throwback to the days of Olle Nygren and Tiger Louis.1 point

Not really, there was some close racing last night, but only 1 real pass of note that I can remember from Anders Rowe1 point

He has a British passport, so no different to Workington dropping etherngton for max Perry except etherington is only 17 so by your logic that's worse.1 point

Apart from when they bashed us in the KO cup at Foxhall 53 -37. Lance King with a 15 maximum. Paulo Salvetelli with 4 doughnuts that night! Ah those were the days!1 point

That's nothing Iain, I believe in 1988 we faced Kings Lynn home and away 14 times! Mind you, i believe there was 10 teams in the British League that year.1 point

Yes to the above, but he is nowhere near the standard required to replace Cook, anyone with a knowledge of speedway will tell you that. You've replaced a number one with a 2nd/3rd heatleader at best1 point

... still, nice of The Aces to provide regular video updates of their talisman 😁1 point
